PARTICIPATIVE OBSERVATION: A
METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH TO SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY

The purpose of this presentation is to take the participative
obersevation as an appropriated methodology of the work for
scholar psychologists. We consider the school one social
construction prescribed through the representations of the social
agents that participate in its day by day. The participative
observation permits the psychologists to research the structures
of social relations and to give alternative ways for the solution
of problems in the achievment of school goals. Therefore, the job
of psychologists should be to get the social representations of
school social segments in the sense to discover the contraditions
that come up in the school relations routine.
