Declaring The Whole Counsel Of God
by Warren Price
Any who would preach, or teach the unconverted, must of necessity do so by plainly
telling the truth of God. So it was with the Master, though with infinite wisdom, kind and
loving, he made the truth stand out in simple clarity and force. Should any who follow him
do less? Would it not be an exercise in carelessness to permit the unrescued to remain lost
by shallow teaching and preaching? When our kind feelings for the sensibilities of those
who need to be taught, render our lessons ineffective, we have done that person just as
much injustice as if we refused to guide him in the way of truth. When over-soft teaching
or preaching, cause some who are not totally committed to the gospel to be baptized, these
do many times become stumblingblocks in the cause of Christ. If the whole truth of the
Gospel is plainly taught, many, as in Christ's personal ministry will turn away and take
offense, but that persons heart cannot be turned back by withholding the truth from him.
Why not then, as Jesus did, reveal to men their true condition? One cannot be saved until
he knows and loves the truth.

CONSIDER THESE TRUTHS

Christ must take preference over our father, mother, and self. (Luke 14:26)

To be a disciple of Christ, one must be willing to forsake all he has. (Luke 14:33)

Followers of Jesus would be hated of all men. (Matt. 10:22)

Any who come after Christ must deny self and take up his cross. (Matthew 16:24)

Whoever looked back was not fit for the kingdom of God. (Luke 9:62)

We can expect to be reviled and persecuted of men for following him. (Matthew 5:11)

Christians must be willing to suffer persecution. (2 Timothy 3:12)

God the creator, lays down his law to man the creature, not asking after our will in the
matter. We are not consulted, we are just told to obey regardless. No man can be led of
God until he feels his own incompetence to guide his own way. Every heart must be
developed to neither ask it's own choice nor to question God's. Any who are choosy as
respect to what God says, rejecting what of the word he dislikes, is utterly at the beck and
call of Satan. Let us not then fool ourselves, our readers, nor expect to fool God, by the
careless handling of his word. That is why dear friend and brother, we feel compelled to
"tell it like it is."
