I do not claim to be Wiccan though I believe in many of their beliefs. I am pagan. I believe in a supreme being that created the universe and the conditions for life to exist (though not necessarily that life itself). I believe that all religions are true, for worship is a personal and deeply moving experience that only that individual can define for him/herself (and the creator is in everything that man can define in one form or another). The creator is neither male nor female but engenders all forms of creation. All life leads to the creator, and everything that exists has a spark of the creator's life force within it, be it earth, star, stone, bird, animal, tree, man, or even extraterrestrial. We are all connected and are one with the creator. Some can touch the creator's life force within themselves and others (be it animal, mineral, or whatever) and use it to create or change their world around them. We call it magic and everything has the potential, but only a few learn to use it. Magic in itself is not harmful, but a force to touch and to use and revere. Treat it gently and with reverence, for it is your pathway to the creator, your link to the creator's life force. Use it to harm and you only harm yourself, for all life connects eventually. If you listen, the trees will speak to you and shelter you, the stones will listen and share their secrets, and the very air you breath will lift you to heights you never imagined, or hold you in a warm lovers embrace. Everything about you has a tale to tell, and the magic to tell it if you only listen close enough, and open your heart and mind. The connections are there and the magic can be shared now, then, and forever, because life is never really destroyed, just changed and recreated. The life force continues in a spiral that begins and culminates with the creator. Each life is bringing you closer to the life force that created everything at the beginning. Treat life gently and life will treat you gently.
