Episode #1 · Pilot--- Dawson, Joey and Pacey are taping for Dawson's
movie, when Jen shows up, trying to escape a mysterious past in New
York. Dawson developes a crush on Jen, and he does not see the crush
that his life-long friend Joey has on him. While Dawson and Pacey are
working in the video store, Pacey sees a women he begins to like. This
turns out to be Ms. Tamara Jacobs, his English teacher. Joey sees
Dawson's mom kiss Bob, her co-anchor.
Episode #2 · Dirty Dancing --- Filming continues on Dawson's movie, and
the script has Joey and Pacey kissing. Joey can't do this because she is
repulsed by Pacey, so Dawson kills off her character, to be replaced by
Jen's character. Pacey is still chasing after Tamara, but she brushes him
off. They run into each other at the marina, and decide to have a regular
student/teacher relationship, but 2 seconds later they are kissing.
Dawson gets into film class, but finds Cliff making a movie about his own
football experiences. He learns that Cliff is taking Jen to the dance, and
takes Joey, and ends up making a big scene. Later, they apoligize and they
end up dancing. Joey overhears Dawson's mom talking to Bob(her
co-anchor/lover), and confronts her while keeping it from Dawson.
Episode #3 · Prelude to a Kiss--- Joey falls for visiting sailor Anderson
Crawford, and pretends to be "Debora Carson". Dawson plans the perfect
kiss with Jen and takes her to a private garden to work on the film. He
"accidently" films the kiss and Jen starts to get mad, but they have to hide
when other people come. He ends up kissing her anyway. Pacey and
Tamara Jacobs were the intruders in the garden and they make love while
it is all being taped by Dawson's camera.
Episode #4 · Carnal Knowledge--- Jen tells Dawson about her past in New
York, and he slips away from her. Dawson discovers his mom has been
having an affair, and tells Joey. She confesses she has known already, and
Dawson gets mad at her and turns to tell his Dad, but can't muster up the
courage. Pacey finds out that he and Tamara are on Dawson's tape, and
confides in him.
Episode #5 · Blown Away--- During a hurricane, the Leerys, the Potters,
Jen and her Gram are in Dawson's house. Dawson confronts his mother
about her affair, and she confesses. Joey's sister Bessie is pregnant, and
Gram chastitises them about their realationship and their unborn child.
Pacey and Tamara are together in Tamara's house, but Pacey's "gay"
brother, Deputy Doug is also there. To prove that he is not gay, Doug puts
a gun to Pacey's head to make Pacey say that he is straight.
Episode #6 · Look Who's Talking--- When Bessie goes into labor at
Dawson's house, Joey has memories of her mothers pain before her death
and turns to Dawson for comfort. Jen's Gram helps with the birth, but
adds in racial judgements about the baby. It is found out that Pacey and
Tamara are together, the school board calls for an emergency meeting and
Pacey claims he made it all up which sets Tamara free. She still leaves
Capeside to teach in another town.
Episode #7 · The Breakfast Club--- The gang has to spend a day in detention
together. Dawson hit Pacey in the nose with a baseketball for
embarrassing him. Joey beat up a jerk who was annoying her. Jen said
"bitch" in class. Pacey was caught masturbating in the locker room. In
detention, they play "Truth or Dare" and "Guess Who's Butt It Is?" In truth
or dare, Pacey and Jen have to kiss, and Dawson and Joey have to kiss.
Guess Who's Butt It Is is a bunch of xerox-ed butts, and the rest is
obvious. Later, they sneak to the gym and Dawson and Pacey play a game
of basketball that turns into a game of who's best. Jen and joey realize
they want the same person, Dawson.
Episode #8 · Escape From New York--- Jen's ex-boyfriend Billy comes to
Capeside to tries to win her back. Pacey talks Joey into going to a beach
party where she gets drunk and starts to make-out with an ugly guy, but
Pacey saves her. Dawson's parents try to fix their marriage through a
deep-sea adventure.
Episode #9 · In the Company of Men--- Dawson, Pacey, and Jen's
ex-boyfriend Billy go on a road trip, that helps Dawson forget about the
recent break-up with Jen. Meanwhile, Jen and Joey do the female bonding
thing as they plot revenge on a jock that has been spreading a rumour
that he slept with Joey, by claiming that Joey is now pregnant.
Episode #10 · Modern Romance--- Dawson, sulking over his break-up with
Jen and the knowledge that she has a date with Cliff, masterminds a
double date, but when his date uncovers his manipulation, they join
forces to obtain their desired dates which leaves all four going in circles.
Meanwhile, Joey is recruited to save Pacey from failing Biology, but when
Pacey cofesses his new discoveries about Joey to Dawson, it makes
Dawson begin to confront his own feelings about his childhood friend.
Episode #11 · Friday the 13th---Dawson, who loves Friday the thirteenth, is on a quest to make sure he scares everyone to death, except for Jen. Jen wonders why but figures Dawson is scaring her by making a scary phone call(like the one on Scream), Except it's not him. That night, Jen has a date with Cliff, who decides it would be a good idea to take her to Dawson's house for his seance. Before the seance, Pacey picks up this 20 something woman at a convenience store after she has a fight with her b/f and steals a bottle of wine for Pacey.
Well, all six of them are at Dawson's and begin the seance, where the woman talks about killing people.Suddenly, the lights go out, and the gang splits up to find flashlights, to fix the prob, etc. While everyone is on their task, they keep finding scary things left around. Well, it ends with the crazy woman's b/f breaking into the house and almost killing Pacey, Joey faking her death to scare Dawson, and Jen finding out that Cliff was the one who made the scary phone call.
Episode #12 · Pretty Woman--- Joey becomes the center of attention when
she enters a local beauty competition to earn money for future education;
meanwhile, to the pageant judges' dismay, Pacey enters the pageant on the
grounds that he is as qualified as any female contestant. Futhermore, on
the eve of the extravaganza, Dawson is surrounded by romance when Jen
confesses her regrets about breaking off their relationship and Joey
unburdens her heart.
Episode #13 · Breaking Away---In this episode, Joey wins a scolarship to France for a year. She doesn't know if she should take it, so she is looking for reasons to stay in Capeside. Joey also visits her father in prison and finds out, to her dismay, that they both care deeply for each other.
The next morning, Joey goes to tell Dawson about her visit with her father, when she finds him and Jen kissing on his bed, (actually Jen was kissing him). Joey runs away and Dawson looks for her all day. He later finds her in his closet.
Joey says that Dawson should give her one good reason to stay in Capeside and then he kisses her! It ends with them kissing, and leaving the audience with a cliffhanger!
