Corey's Essays on Ethics
These are some essays I wrote in a college ethics course. They're on stuff like
right and wrong, nature of God, that sort of intelectual stuff. If something
doesn't make sense, that's probably because they make reference to something the
professor knew about (such as a text book reference) that you don't, so please be
forgiving.
- This is an essay I wrote about selfishness and it's vital role in everyday life. Interesting how the conotation of the word selfishness casts it as a bad thing, and something that we don't want to have anything to do with. Anyway, take a look here...
- Plato's question was "Do the Gods love piety because it is pious, or is it pious because the Gods love it?" What do you think?
- Something on Utilitarian Theory that I wrote as a final exam. Brainier stuff.
- Something About Kant's Categorical Imperative, about moral rules and values. Also a final exam essay.
