Anna-Jonesboro Community High School's Career Association hosted its third annual initiation and installation ceremony November 2, 1999. |

The third-year program, Jobs for Illinois Graduates, JILG, provides students who are committed to their future career with an opportunity to first experience success in the classroom. By participating in JILG, a student is a member of the student organization called the Career Association. The association allows students to gain leadership and social skills, as well as workplace expectations. |

The ceremony on November 2 marked the formal initiation of association members and the installation of its’ officers. Approximately 110 people, including school official, family members and others were on hand for the ceremony. |

A-JCHS students who are members of the association are Amanda Albers, Cara Althoff, Chris Barahona, Jamie Bauer, Geremy Boyd, Amy Cain, Jason Dabbs, Tabitha Dexter, Lindsey Dillow, Nick Fisher, Jill Hickam, Jerry Hoffman, Nicole Kohler, Stephanie Kreyling, Jodi Lutz, Tasha Mealer, Todd Morrison, Chrissy, Neighbors, Stephanie Oslund, Kurt Petrich, Billy Pind, Brock Proctor, Heather Ragland, Brandi Sadler, Eric Smith, Brandon Starr, Robbie Sullivan, Nick Tolar, and Kim Wright. |

Association officers for 1999-2000, sworn in by Melissa Noriss, the 1998-99 Secretary, are Jamie Bauer, president; Nick Tolar, vice-president; Becca Grisham, secretary; Brandi Sadler, treasurer; Kurt Petrich, reporter; Amanda Albers, historian. Officer assistants are Chris Barahona, Jerry Hoffman, Kim Wright, Nicole Kohler, Tasha Mealer, and Lindsey Dillow. |

Tony Calabrese, inspirational speaker and Union county business owner, was the guest speaker for the event. Mr. Calabrese emphasized the importance of setting goals and striving to meet them. |
