Cerulean waves.

stars encircled his head in a halo
realizing him for the angel he is
a gauze of mists surrounded
     his writhing body in joy
his mouth cried out loving rainbows
until the river of words inside him dried
the cerulean waves of his eyes crashed and
retreated into the sandy beaches of his lids

the azure sky of my eyes could only manage
to nibble the luscious peach of his skin
as the porcelain of my skin roamed freely
across his the nap of his chest
and the aureate silk of my hair fell
     in cascades across us both
as I inhaled deeply, listening closely for a heartbeat
praying that his passion had not overcome him
and waited for his sandy beaches to surrender
so I could see once more his cerulean waves
          brimming over with love.
