History: Slip back into the past with a beautiful Victorian Lady. Listed on the National Register of Historic Homes, Sharlotte's House was built in 1888 by Lucie M. Tompson, the wife of Col Joseph N. Thompson, a LaGrange Cadet of the 35th Alabama Regiment of Infantry which left from LaGrange College for Confederate Service. The  James family owned the house from 1948 to 1993, when it was purchased by Sharlotte and Coy Roper, who have renovated and redecorated it.The original wooden floors are found throughout the guest area, and the furniture and decor are in keeping with the age and personality of the home.
