Internet Safety

Remember to stay safe on the internet. The Guide Association has guidelines for staying safe on the internet. These guidelines recommend that you:

1. Agree with your parent(s)/guardian(s) "their rules" for you using a computer, and the World Wide Web.
2. Do not give your address or telephone number to anyone without permission.
3. Do not give your school's name and address without permission.
4. Say "No" if anyone you meet on the World Wide Web wants to meet you, unless your parent(s)/guardian(s) have agreed and will go with you.
5. Do not put your photograph on a web site without your parent(s)/guardian(s) permission.
6. Do not put your full name on a web site without your parents(s)/guardian(s) permission.
7. Tell your parent(s)/guardian(s) or a teacher if you discover something on the World Wide Web which worries or upsets you.
