This Ritual can be done any time of need. Use it as a minor dedication or minor excorcism to banish evil influences around you. Don't perform it needlessly.

You will need to perform this in a quiet place and you should be skyclad.

You will need: Salt (about 1/4 tsp.), wine (about and ounce), water (about 1/2 ounce), white candle.

Once the Ritual has been performed, you should feel peaceful and calm. You should realize that you have called the attention of the Gods to yourself in asking that you grow close to them in goals and wisdom.

After cleansing, when you are ready to begin, sprinkle the salt on the floor and stand on it. Light the candle. Let the warmth of the candle be absorbed into your body.

Mix the water into the wine, meditating on your reasons for performing this Self-Blessing. Say:

"Bless me Mother, for I am Your child."

Dip the fingers of your dominant hand into the mixed water/wine and anoint your eyes. Say:

"Blessed be my eyes that I may see Your path."

Anoint your nose and say:

"Blessed be my nose that I may breathe Your essence."

Anoint your loins and say:

"Blessed be my loins whicih bring forth the life of men and women as You have brought forth all creation."

Anoint your feet and say:

"Blessed be my feet that I may walk in Your ways."
