Hi!

       I'm so glad this list has been started - I've already gotten encouragement from the introductions!  It's nice to know you're not alone.

       I have 2 children ages 9 (1989) and 6 (1992).  My oldest, Sarah, was in public school until the second grade.  After seeing her come home with the same math facts and reading level assignments for 6 months I knew there had to be a better way.  Even in the G/T program she did not seemed challenged.  The best thing that came out of that year was that her teacher allowed her to do a lot of independent work, which in my eyes prepared her for homeschooling. I'm not sure yet about my youngest, Adam. Put it on a computer, though, and away he goes!

       I'm looking forward to hearing about others' experiences and ideas.
