Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.
Generally, works published before 1923 are in the Public Domain in the U.S, as are works published before 1978 without copyright notice. It is these two guidelines that I use in selecting which texts to use on this site. As this site is maintained in the U.S, it is my understanding that it comes under U.S jurisdiction and law. Should there be any innocent infringement of anybody's copyright, and it can be proved to me by that copyright holder, I will gladly remove the material. Where material is believed to be in copyright I have asked the copyright holders permission to publish it. For further information as to when works enter the public domain please feel free to visit the following pages.
