Hello:

I guess I will deliver some mundane diatribe about myself. I am a teacher of history, International Studies, Southern Culture, and Independent Research at a small public high school.

I fell in love this summer while on vacation. My lover is the country of Italy, sigh...it takes my breath away. I have made some wonderful and delightful friends there this summer. I was there for seven magnificant weeks. I have an online photo album you can check out if you would like. I will put the link on here somewhere. I am taking Italian language classes at a local university so I can communicate much more proficiently with my friends.

This summer while I Italy, I saw one of my favorite artist perform, BB King....man...it was fantastic. I was very pleased to hear him play in Occhibello. ( I can close my eyes and hear and see it all again...)

Hhmm....what else can I tell you? I enjoy reading, computers, computer graphics, dancing, music, movies, meeting people, traveling, research, poetry, art, anitiques, photography, good wine and beer, teaching, ..hmm...bored yet?

I am not married.  I have a son attending the university. He is studying to be a teacher of history like me. My son is a great guy and very smart. He enjoys medieval history and is a member of the Society for a Creative Anachrominism. Not sure if I spelled that right....I'll check later.

How about films? I can share some of my interests with you. I really enjoy science fiction films. I love "Bladerunner", it is one of my favorites. (I enjoy movies that add a twist to the storyline) I enjoy comedies as well-two of my favorites is "Young Frankenstein" and "Arsenic and Old Lace"-basically I like older black and white movies.

I have some interesting tastes in music. I love much of the American current pop music, classical, music of my youth, opera, blues ( love the blues) Jazz, techno, whatever my students are listening to at the time I generally like, Italian music, and my new interests, Arabic music and Portuguese music. I like expanding my horizons musically! Iwill tell you one of my most favorite songs, "Someone to Watch Over Me" by Gershwin. It is soooo good!

At this moment I cannot think of anything you might find vaguely interesting about me, but if you wish to know more email me.  If I have time I will answer.

ciao
