The Theology List is a moderated mailing list designed to enable friendly discussion and debate in all areas of evangelical theology. In all discussions, the Bible is assumed to be inerrant and the standard to be used for the evaluation of any theological belief. The goals of the list are to allow you to:

List Guidelines

It is asked that you follow these guidelines when posting to the list:

  1. Do not send requests for personal information to the entire list. These types of messages should be sent directly to the individual.
  2. Do not send "amen" messages to the entire list. These are messages that say "I agree with you", or the like, but do not add anything to the topic being discussed. These messages may also be sent directly to the individual.
  3. Do not make negative personal comments to or about any individual on the list. Ideas are fair game for debate, but the individuals who hold these ideas should be treated with respect.
  4. Do not stray from the discussion of theology. This topic may include all biblical discussion as well as discussion of "practical theology." This includes the application of theological ideas to our personal lives.
  5. Please limit the amount of quoted text when you reply to somebody's post. Generally a sentence or two is enough. There is nothing more frustrating than to have to page through ten screenfuls of quoted material to find a one line reply at the bottom.

List Information

  1. The Theology List is moderated, so all your posts will have to be approved before they will go out to the list. The moderator usually rejects posts when one of the above guidelines is violated, or the discussion is on a topic that has been banned for one reason or another. You will NOT be notified when a post is rejected. We don't have enough time to do that.
  2. To post to the entire list, send to theology@MyList.net.
  3. The Theology List is primarily moderated by Jeremy Omas, with help from
David Ponter, Derrick Green and Jim Beale. Questions about the list should be directed to owner-theology@mylist.net. We tend to ignore questions that have already been answered here.
  4. Due to the current volume of posts on the Theology List, a limit of five posts per day is enforced on the list. This is done automatically, but it is important that you know that only four posts will go out in any given day for any given subscriber. The counters are reset at 12:00 AM PST.
