Hi All, Another good day. Three walks. For one of them we went to Tulip Time in one of the historical home areas of Peoria. The tulips were almost gone. We had an early spring this year, but we enjoyed a 3 or 4 block walk looking at old homes and reading the plaques telling the history and architecture of some of them. Jerry ate pretty well. For lunch I brought home brats from a Race for the Cure fund raiser. For dinner we went to the VFW in Chillicothe for fried chicken. I think he likes fund raiser food better than my cooking! Today was the Spring Bird Count and the first day we didn't see Louise since she got back while Jerome was in the hospital. She got her count territory changed to a close area, rather than further north where she usually goes. Her house was about in the middle of the area, so she told me to call and leave a message if we needed her and she stopped home periodically to check her machine. I'm glad we had no surprise runs for transfusions or lab work and she was able to enjoy her day with the birds. Love, Mom/Colleen |
