Final Year Project - Design, Fabrication and Erection of a tower Type Boiler Structure

Had extensive interaction with various industrial organisations related to consultancy work. These included Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, Indian Oil Corp., Nuclear Power Corp., Engineers India Ltd., National Aluminium Company, Narmada Cement Company, Hindustan Electro-graphites Ltd. etc. Most of these interactions related to problems faced by client's engineers in maintenance, reliability study and investigation of problems of critical concrete structures for which non-destructive testing services were required. Other interactions included a wide range of business organisations for development of partnerships, acquisition of NDT equipment, utilisation of sub-contractor services and so on. A selection of important projects carried out involving field testing, laboratory testing, technical report writing and presentation etc. in the last two years is given below :

Was involved with the program of acquiring ISO-9000 certification for the Research and Consultancy Directorate of ACC. Independently designed and developed the departmental quality manual, work procedures and instructions, carried out training and internal audit for the implementation of the same for the Concrete Consultancy Services Division (CCS).

Independently assessed the computer requirement of the division and configured and set-up the PC based net-work. Acquired e-mail and inter-net connection for the system and generally helped train colleagues in efficient usage of computer systems.

Suggested and organised the use of recycle boxes in offices of RCD to encourage collection of used office papers to be shredded and sold to paper mills instead of being burnt. The system was implemented by RCD with installation of paper shredding machine.

Represented college and university cricket teams in India and US. Organised the cricket team at my previous company and led the same to victory in the local cricket tournament. Participated regularly in intra-mural competition in Basketball, Football, Volleyball etc.

Has been actively involved with the formation and operation of the "Sustainable Educational and Economic Development Society - SEEDS" for mitigation of hunger and drought in backward areas of India.
