This is the home page of the Gerald Kliberts of Reserve, La. While here you will get information on the families of Gerald and Ruth (Alvin & Emily Oubre Lambert), as well as their anscestors. A family tree will also reside here. Their family tree goes back 13 generations and building. You will find out about the history of Reserve, La. a small town located on the east bank of the Mississippi River 20 miles upriver from New Orleans. Gerald and Ruth have 4 children, Gerald Jr., Shelley, Edie, and Lee. On march 7, 1820, the ship Galliot Fortune, from Bremen-Germany, docked in New Orleans,La. On that ship was a young man of 23 years old and a shoemaker by trade. That young man was Joseph Kleiber. Joseph was born in 1795 in Strasbourg, Alsace-Lorraine, Germany. That provence had gone from German territory to French territory for decades. At present it is part of France. Joseph married Marie Magdelaine Oubre, daughter of Regis Oubre and Magdelaine Mouton, on October 22, 1822 in St Michel Church, Convent, La.. He died on May 11, 1854 at 2 AM and was buried in the cementary of Our Lady of Peace Church in South Vacharie, La. , the first person to buried in that cementary. Of that marriage came three daughters and 7 sons. The sixth son, Theophille born in 1846 , a farm laborer, married Anastasi Ockman,daughter of Emile Ockman and Felicite Falgoust, on July 17, 1867 in Our Lady of Peace Church, located in South Vacherie, La.. Of that marrige were born one daughter and six sons. The third son, Etienne born February 26, 1887, was the first to use the spelling of "Klibert". He married Louis Dufrene, daughter of Joseph Dufrene and Heloise Ockman. Etienne died on October 12, 1958 in Reserve, La. and was buried in St. Peters Cemetary. Of this marriage was born two daughters and six sons. The third son, Whitney born May 3 1908 on Johnson Plantation-St. John the Baptist, Wallace,La.. , married Ida Perilloux of Crevasse, La., daughter of Camille Perilloux and Bertha Madere. More on the PERILLOUX AND MADERE founders can be found by clicking on these names. Whitney died on March 13, 1992 and was buried in St. Peters cemetary while Ida died on October 13, 1986 and was buried there also. Out of this marriage were born two daughters and two sons. In the beginning were Pierre Desnoyer and Marie Oliver of the country of France. They would be the fore-bearers of many families in South Louisiana. One of their sons was named Jean and he married Louise Fontenot. Their son Jean Baptiste Charles Desnoyer came to Louisiana from France and married Geneivieve Borne who came from Bayou LaFourche. A son Lezin married Eva Marie Cambre and she bore eleven daughters and one son. Unfortunately the only son died at a very young age and the name linage ended. The seventh child Celeste Eliska Desnoyer married Jacques Adrian Perilloux and they were blessed with three daughters and three sons. Camille Perilloux married Bertha Madere and were the proud parents of one son and six daughters. The oldest daughter Ida Perilloux married Whitney Klibert and they two were blessed with children. Doris was the eldest followed by Robert, Gerald Sr. , and Susan. |

Jean George Huber was born in the year 1699 in the country of Germany. His spouse was Marie Ann Schoff. One of their sons, Jean Christopher Oubre, notice the spelling change, came to Louisiana and married Marie Barbe Rauchen. Of this marriage was born Andre, who maried Marie Elizabeth Bonvillian. A son Regis Oubre married Magdelaine Mouton and out of this marriage were born Marie Magdelaine Oubre and Pierre Oubre. Marie married Joseph Kleiber of Germany and Louisiana and Pierre married Felecite Pertuet. This brother and sister were the closest link of Gerald Sr. and Ruth. Pierre and Felecite bore a son Eugene Oubre who married Angelique Conrad. One of their offspring, Angelique, married Louis Joseph Guidry father of Alice Guidry. Alice married Edward Teleman Lambert and were the father of Edward Sr.. Edward married Uranie Philomene Prozzi who came from Sicily. One of their sons Alvin Sr, who married Emily Oubre, was the father of Ruth Lambert. Other links were Christoph Achtziger and Catherine(Ocman) Hoffman who were linked with Bertha Madere Perilloux and the family Prozzi. Another was Rene Dervain(Dorvan) and Marie Conrad Frederic who was linked to Camille Perilloux and one branch of the Achtziger family. |
