Svetlana V. Gardash was born in 1976 in Moscow. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the Russian State University for the Humanities in Moscow, as an economist, with a degree of a bachelor of sciences - B.Sc. (Econ.) in 1997. The diploma paper was "The Influence of Inflation on Ìacroeconomic Indexes: Correlation of Inflation and Unemployment in the USA, 1950- 1995". A prospective theme of research specialization at the Institute of the USA and Canadian Studies is "The Effects of Federal Tax Policy on an Economic Efficiency in the USA". 
S.V. Gardash has extensive practical experience of work as a network operator and web master with personal computers of various types (IBM PC, Apple Macintosh, Sun SPARCstation, NeXTstation - MS Windows NT, OS/2, MacOS, NeXT, Unix/Xenix, Solaris/OpenLook operating systems) in corporate local networks, Intranet and in Internet. Her basic programming languages are MS Visual C++, HTML 4.0; obtained proficient practical skills related to the network hypertexts, hierarchical information data structures, and to searching for information in the Internet.

Holds the qualifying certificate from the National Academic Recognition Center for the United Kingdom (1997).
Participated in research activities of a Division of Economic Data Bases and Energy Studies of the Institute of the USA and Canadian Studies for compiling computerized data bases "Main Economic Indexes of the USA, 1950-1995", "Leading Commercial Structures of the USA, Canada and Foreign European Countries in 1997", "The Forecast of Main Economic Indexes of the USA in 1997-2010: the Functional Approximation of Basic Analytical Trends" and "Statistics of Raw Mineral and Energy Supply Resources of the USA in 1950-1995".

Published several research papers in academic magazines.

Research works 1995-2000, in Russian.
