Gun Control NOW in California (5/99)

This was posted on the bulletin board at the range I was at today. Very noticeable and printed, not hand written. The range master told me it was brought in by someone who claimed to have gone through the experience. Unfortunately I forgot to get a copy before I left. Andy

WARNING, a large local area gun shop, Great Guns, has had their registration records for Ruger 10/22 rifles seized. The BATF is going to the owners of those guns and asking to check for folding stocks and hi-cap mags...

UPDATE!!!

Great Guns is a real gun shop in my area, Sacramento, Ca. They have confirmed that the BATF did indeed show up and seize all their firearms records saying curt remarks like, "You'll be out of business by July, asshole."
"We can do whatever we want - fuck the constitution."

The above quotes came from the clerk who was insulted and forced to hand over all yellow forms for the last TWENTY years!!
