The Perfect Flunky

Why are we threatening to bomb Iraq . . . again? As with most wars of the twentieth century, we are considering the conflict because of oil. In 1991, America, with the aid of most of the world, bombed Iraq into near oblivion in the now infamous Gulf War. During that "contest" the people of the world watched and cheered as the Iraqis were slaughtered. Civilians and soldiers alike were killed because Iraq had invaded Kuwait and big oil was in danger of losing control of a huge Persian-Gulf spigot. Today, seven years later, the people of Iraq do without food, water and medicine as they languish in poverty and disease. The country is dying a slow, painful death. This misery is said to be caused because Iraq is out of compliance with weapons inspection teams demands.

The Gulf War victory over the Iraqi dictator was acclaimed as the world rejoiced. But, in the wake of the war, some of the world awakened. This writer had strewn yellow ribbons about his office and flew flags during the conflagration until George Bush gave his "New World Order" speech. The next day, the ribbons and flags were silently removed; this writer's innocence and naivete about American wars was shattered. Bush clearly wanted America to be the world policeman; he actually said so. Exporting liberty worldwide might be a good thing, if, indeed it is possible to do such a thing, but exporting police power is abominable.

Even being a vet, I could no longer support this country's military pursuit in the Gulf. No longer could I fall for the line of the Party that "We must support our troops, even if we disagree with the conflict." From that day forward, I realized that I could only support our troops by standing up for what is right, by standing for liberty, by standing for honor.

My newly-awakening mind raced as I recalled that Hitler's forces were rated as invincible as they battled in Europe and Russia, but that as soon as the Germans turned their forces toward the oil country of the Middle East, their fortunes changed immediately. The allies unleashed their pit-bull, George Patton, who could have torn through Hitler's forces at will anytime except Eisenhauer collared him for being politically incorrect in disciplining a soldier. Big oil didn't want the war to end and Patton would have probably set out the remainder if Hitler hadn't gone after the oil cache in the Middle East. The unleashed pit- bull ripped through the soft underbelly of the Third Reich with savage efficiency. So effective was Patton that he was called off the prey. Why? Could it be that once the Middle East oil reserves were again protected and assured survivability, that the continuation of the war was a benefit to big oil?

Like World War II, the big-oil directed Gulf War of 1991 extracted a huge toll. While it took a few years for the American people to discover that the American forces used all manner of weapons of mass destruction against everyone in the gulf, including their own soldiers, the people did so learn. Depleted uranium shells had been fired from tanks, deadly chemicals were exploded at munitions' caches, and wild biologicals were incubated and spread via serums and in the air during the Gulf War. Americans came home with the Gulf War Illnesses, which our government denied to exist. Our vets who served in the war were mocked and told the illnesses they suffered from were psychosomatic. Those who suffer from GWI were called crazy by the government. These stricken vets suffered from and continue to suffer severe physical ailments, but out government denies them even a modicum of treatment. And, these supposed "mental illnesses" have spread to the vets' spouses, their children, and even to their family pets. Yet, still, the government lies about the origin of the illnesses. These stricken vets are still ridiculed by the government that sent them into the fray, and therein poisoned them. All this was done for and continues to be done for big oil interests in Kuwait. I pray that God will bless and heal our courageous and stricken vets, and reward corrupt leaders and big oil with their just due.

Seven years after the first slaughter of Iraq, in February of this year, Clinton tried to form another coalition of Saddam haters to again battle the "Great Satan." This time, however, most of the world sat in silence as America was only able to garner the support of Great Britain and a few of the British colonies turned free states in the aborted confrontation.

Of course there could be little support mustered; big oil wasn't in jeopardy at the time. Instead, the motive of the February bombing attempt was that Clinton was deep into the Lewinsky scandal. The movie "Wag the Dog" had just been released, which perhaps led to Clinton's brainstorm of an Iraqi-war-for-scandal swap. This foolish plan would have been based upon the absurd logic that if a fake war had worked in the movie, a real war might be doubly effective. Clinton apparently did not understand that "Wag the Dog" was a satire, hence was not supposed to work in real life.

Why did Great Britain support Clinton in the foolish attempt of February? Perhaps the answer is in the Book of Daniel, chapter seven, where we learn that the prophet saw four beasts as the endtime approached:

The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings; I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

Is it not reasonable to discern that Great Britain is the lion and America is the eagle? Given that analysis, can it not also be accepted that the wings of the eagle were clipped because Clinton has remained the president despite being exposed for all his moral turpitude? And, could the endtime be so close, and the first beast so desperate as to expose itself for all the world to see?

So, what happened to Bill Clinton's ill-fated plan that had all the substance of a Hollywood satire? Where did the missiles he had intended to launch at Saddam go? Clinton's transparent military plan could not be supported by big oil because it was too childish to avoid detection. Without the support of big oil, Clinton was left to his own devices to cover his filthy tracks, and, co-incidentally, two American embassies were simultaneously bombed, and, in retaliation for those bombings, the sovereign countries of Afghanistan and Sudan became the recipients of the missiles. Why? Because Clinton had a stupid plan to cover up his lies. Will there be any UN sanctions against the US and Clinton for these attacks? Of course not. Will there be retaliations? Probably. Who will be blamed for the retaliations? Saddam, most probably.

Today, November 13, 1998, Clinton has again rebuilt the strike forces in the Persian Gulf. We are on a war footing. Our country showed in the past war there that it will use chemical, biological and nuclear weapons, and in fact, did use all of those types of horrible weapons in the 1991 Gulf War. These terrible weapons are once again poised at Saddam, but with a different intent than was behind them in February of 1998. Why? Big oil, of course. Therefore, Saddam would be wise not to test the steel of resolve, but, he apparently misunderstands and thinks it is just Clinton after him again, and the Iraqi leader probably won't back down to Clinton. He doesn't respect him; who does?

The official Clinton line is that Saddam is refusing to comply with the weapons-inspection process of the United Nations. Anyone who has read and understands the import of the American federal income tax code knows that our Congress writes some laws in such a confusing manner that it is impossible to determine what is required and what is not in regard to compliance. Just as Clinton argues whether "is" is "is" and vehemently asserts that "fellatio" is not "sex," so does the hopelessly vague and unconstitutional Internal Revenue Code cause intelligent people to argue such apparent absurdities as whether a Philadelphia-born inhabitant of Pennsylvania is a resident citizen of the United States. And, anyone who has challenged the tyrannical IR code understands how cruelly our "kinder, gentler government" punishes any who refuse to "voluntarily comply," whatever that ridiculous oxymoron really means. American "taxpayers" have learned on the micro scale that our government will destroy, impoverish, imprison and annihilate those who refuse to comply no matter how impossible it is to comply, and no matter if compliance would require an act of fraud. Saddam's people are about to learn what failure of impossible voluntary compliance means on a macro scale because big oil is now behind Clinton.

Today, it is reported that several Arab states support the strike against Saddam. Why is this? First, neighboring countries are always competitors, so there will be an "us against them" syndrome in many instances. The second reason is a bit deeper, far underground where stores of crude oil are untapped.

The Arab states are in economic crisis because the price of crude is depressed and the supply of oil is vast. In the worldwide market, shares of oil companies have recently taken huge hits at the stock exchanges. This has happened because the Asian Tigers are in recession/depression, and their enormous appetite for oil has been curbed. These Asian Tigers, whose economic fall we have been told would have no impact on the "robust" American economy, are about to sink the U.S., no matter how many lies and wars our governments spreads or causes. The demand for oil is low, the supply is high, and the price is falling. Big oil won't tolerate this, and no matter what the cost is to the world, it will retaliate. Clinton, weakened by sex-scandal, devoid of military knowledge or understanding, and foolish enough to have planned a military strike based on a Hollywood satire, is the perfect flunky.

Co-incidentally, the announcement of military buildup against Iraq immediately sent the oil prices higher. Is the picture coming clear? Iraq is a huge producer of oil. For seven years, it has been restricted from selling its oil to the world because it was not in "voluntary compliance" with the UN inspection teams, and big oil was doing quite nicely, until the Asian Tigers crashed. A cynic might suspect that were there an oil shortage during this same seven-year period, that Iraq would have been found in total "compliance" according to the UN, and would have been allowed to pump out unending streams for the hungry world with Bill Clinton's, the UN's, and, most importantly, big oil's blessings. However, the reverse is true. There is too much oil; the oil companies are in economic crisis. Saddam's vast oil reserves pose a danger to those companies, so Iraq must be punished . . . again.

This is not to say that Saddam is blameless. Far from it. But, in this scene of this tragic play, he is rather like Goldstein, the arch-villain of Big Brother in Orwell's "1984," who everyone hated, and must hate, whether he was deserving of it or not.

When Iraq's oil is neutralized, big oil will not feel the world economic recession as deeply as most groups. So, after the further destruction of Iraq, there might be a temporary peace in the region, unless this ugliness gives immediate birth to World War III. When the world-wide depression grows deeper, which it must given the inertia behind it, then yet another Arab state will learn the lesson of Iraq and be forced to quit pumping crude for the collective "good" of big oil.

The leaders of the various Arab countries know this is big oil's plan, and clearly see it developing. These same leaders are so worried about self-preservation and self-interest in this crashing economic system that is founded upon the absurd belief that "everyman's greed leads to everyman's good" that they will be as greedy as necessary to survive . . . and then some. That is why Arabs will fight Arabs . . . Muslims will fight Muslims . . . again . . . for OIL and GREED. This is pure EVIL, and EVIL will eventually self destruct.
