A. Preliminary building of group consciousness

The first half hour that any group gets together is spent finding each other's rhythms and learning to listen to each other. It is best, at the beginning, to have an open discussion while people acclimate to each other.

After everyone has said hello and caught up, it is time to discuss the purpose of the ritual and build a consensus. In a small group it is especially important that everyone know what is going on, and why. The ritual can be almost anything. Once the goal is set, the group needs to agree on procedures. What form is the magic going to take? How will the phase of the moon affect what we are doing? The time of year?

Next, the parts are assigned. It is very important to decide who is going to do what before you begin, if you want the ritual to flow smoothly. It is best if everyone claims at least one part so that everyone participates in the action.
