First I feel the need to explain the name of my page. Win, pronounced weein, is Lakota for woman. So my name is essentially Witch Woman.
I first learned that Witchcraft was real after receiving a Tarot reading from a Witch. Her Name
was Alonnie and she changed my life forever. It was early in 1995, I was helping my mom work a
table that sold books at a psychic fair. I watched Alonnie for quite some time and then had a
reading done by her. Her energy was amazing. After the reading I watched her some more. I
finally got up the courage to ask her about Witchcraft. She told me to read "The Truth About
Witchcraft Today"- by Scott Cunningham. I had had that book home on my shelf for several
years and never had even opened it up. With every chapter I was amazed with the fact that it
was touching my soul like no other book had every done before. After reading it I wanted more
and then read "Wicca: A Guide For The Solitary Practitioner"-by Scott Cunningham.
After that I was on a search for Witches. I found out that my mom had been a Solitary Witch for
over thirty years, I never knew it, talk about being in the broom closet. She told me of a lady who
worked at a near by leather craft store. I just had to go and see her. Entering into my life then
came Lady Sheherazahde, the name I would come to know her as. I started working at this leather
store, and we started talking. It was not long before I started going to a study group. I enjoyed it
very much. It started out with four of us. There was a girl there that I went to school with, what
a small world, I thought, and the rest as they say is herstory.
Alonnie, I have never seen you since that reading, but I know our paths will cross again. If you happen by
this site I just want to say thank you, you will never know the positive impact you had on me.
Lady Sheherazahde, I want to thank you. I learned so much from you, and even though you have
moved away, and we will not see each other as often I will never forget all that you have taught
me.
