Well, would you? This tends to be the sort of smile seen briefly by those who mistake an individual who is under six feet tall and has a generally calm and pleasant demeanor for a person who will be easy to extort valuables from, shortly before they are pointedly corrected. This was just a quick attempt to capture the darker side of Draklan's personality, and it seems to have come out quite well - it's an expression you most definitely wouldn't want to see approaching you from the opposite end of a badly-lit alleyway.
