On the surface, Sky's Arista debut album Piece of Paradise is a clean, polished pop piece. But underneath Sky members James and Antoine have put together a collection of edgy and introspective songs. Sky members James and Antoine are both songwriters, producers and multi-instrumentalists who met in 1992 at a music engineering in their native Montreal. They self-produced and played all the instruments on a five-song ep in 1997, which was released on the band's own Phat Royale label and ended up being played on 43 radio stations in Quebec. Their Arista debut album Piece of Paradise is already Double Platinum in their native Canada, and had the highest debut ever for any new Canadian artist (at #6). The American release of Piece of Paradise is scheduled for this June and features guest slots from some classic American musicians. Don't miss it!
