THE GLOBAL FRATERNAL NETWORK

The G.F.N. "Toy Box" is a series of graphics that are sent by using a HTML "code". In each case the code for the graphic is enclosed between the brackets<>, without spaces. These are not case sensitive (both upper & lower case work equally). These work solely within the GFN Chat Rooms, where the information that activates the codes is maintained. From time to time new codes will be added and others will be deleted. Review of this Board will keep you up to date.

Try to be a little imaginative when using the codes. They're nice to use when trying to make a special point. For example if you think something sounds like a good idea, put the word idea between the brackets < > or inquiring where a Brother comes from you can put the word hail between the < >. The graphic handshake is the most common when greeting a Brother.

The "Official Mascot" for the East Gate Club is called Jubalant, and his code is haptg, between the brackets < >. There are some codes that are not public knowledge, some of which are designated for Adminstrative use only.

You can change the color of your letters by typing in the color between the brackets < >, making the letter after the brackets in the color you choose from one of these:

Typing the word blink between the brackets < > will make your message after the brackets blink. BLINK

Font size can be changed from 4 through 7 by typing -font size=?- and replacing my question mark with the number you choose between 4 and 7 and replacing my - signs with <>.

You can combine these, such as a blinking red message in large font, by typing -red--font size=?--blink-.

PLEASE NOTE:

When Chatting with your Brothers you should be aware that the constant use of Graphics has a tendency to slow down the process. Use the Graphics to express a point but keep in mind that the excessive use for no reason is a breach of etiquette. Also you should remember, before leaving a Forum, let your Brothers know of you pending departure to give them a chance to say goodbye to you. Also, always use the Exit Link on the top of the page when leaving the Forum. Just leaving and timing out is considered to be in poor taste.
