Welcome to the Poetry Corner nested here within the Circle Cafe. Can you believe I'm finally beginning to get around to updating some of this site? There's now a few new poems up, although this is still (as it will always be...)in the process of being "constructed." If you'd like your poetry on this site, Email me and I'll add it to my guest poetry book. In the meantime, enjoy.

The hope I had gained
Now begins to fade
Another twisted tale
From the realm of Midnyte Jade
Too many lies were told
These precious promises broken
My future can now be decided
Before I have even spoken
The sense of trust has vanished
My faith has been shattered
But to the one responsible
None of these consequences matter
It's just another day
For "THEM" to exercise their power
While I wait here nervously
More anxious each passing hour
"THEY" don't know the truth
The lessons that I've learned
Just how hard I have worked
To get these stubborn tides to turn
With each day that passes
Another continual battle
I'm bound by the thoughts of "THEM"
Like a herd of mindless cattle
They've crushed my world
From the upside that had begun
Now there's an additional fight
A battle "THEY" have already won
"THEIR" words already spoken
Have left sharp and lasting scars
But these people who act concerned
Weren't there during the battle with my car
"THEY" had already given up
And written me off of their list
No longer a priority to "THEM"
How could I not wind up pissed?
"THEY" couldn't look me in the eye
After their hurtful act
The broken the final straw
And shredded our special pact
So now each day I live
With a bit of anger in my heart
Determined not to let "THEM" win
By forcing my world apart

Deeper meaning lies in the crisp gentle breeze
Gracefully wrapped in the heat of night
Within this passionate persuasive ease
Is where Dreams and Hopes first begin their flight.

They're no longer convinced I can do this alone,
By myself it becomes harder to stand;
The World fades as it slips from my grasp,
Please- somebody hold onto my hand.
Lift me up from the pain I've placed myself in,
Remove the filter from my tainted view;
Give me hope for another chance at life,
Don't tell me I can't make it through.
I'm falling further and further away from myself,
And the depths of my heart now lose hope;
Don't shed a tear as you must look away,
Cleanse my mind with with truth of moral soap.
Rid the disease that has clouded my dreams,
Ripped away the pleasures of life;
Take the pain from my numb purple hands,
Before I can take ahold of that steel gray knife.
Shatter the mirror thats twisted my image,
And warped what I believed to be fate;
Lift this massive weight off the back of my shoulders,
Please help me before it becomes too late.

Surrounded by depths beyond human control,
A Silent night revokes its dreams;
Enveloping the weak and confused;
And mirrors the standard illusions of life.
Twisted, falling, endless pain;
Sinks deep within the complex mind,
As New formed bitter hatred,
Tastes the eternal scent of blood.
Images begin to wake and creep,
From the falling fate of the night;
Trails of endless shadows roam,
Within the depths of one's internal soul.
Beneath the lids of prying eyes,
The falling of thick, deep red rain;
Eases the motion, ends the pain;
Rage and torment still live on.
The closing of the Eye, the Mind, the Soul,
Deems the masked illusions, seemingly gone;
Yet dispite the simple complexity,
All memories eternally exist.

On a Cloudy, sultry winter night,
The Happy child became frozen with fright;
The empty soul, feelings of being lost,
Caused the search for pain, to belong at any cost.
Concealed within boundaries of society's cage,
Imprisoned, and filling with hatred and rage;
Piercing eyes and a thoughtless gaze,
Returning the favor in a distant haze.
Looked down upon for distant thought,
Further ridiculed for what she sought;
Continual tries resulting in being caught,
Losing reasons for why she fought.
Another night gazing at a falling star,
Travelling backwards in dreams of moving far;
One more distant, memorable scar,
Further glances at the prisons' metal bar.
Final farewells to the deep black sky,
Another day of living, creating a lie;
Running a finger along the blade with a sigh,
Her final soft-spoken words, "Why?"

Why I pretend to Understand,
Your values of Nothing;
I wonder about your definitions:
Your abilities to define the troubles of your life.
To see through the crystal glass,
You placed between yourself and the world;
I shake up the little blue globe,
And rest it in your hands.
Your lost thoughts form a protective shield,
Not caring, forms the force that powers your life;
Sinking into continual ruts of solitude,
Your hope fades, and will deminishes.
Inside the globe, worlds part;
Carelessly shaken up and stirred;
Most unusual combinations blend,
And place a twisted smile upon your face.
Rainbow prisms bend and strain,
Emotions stand continually still;
As one crash of lightning pierces the boundaries,
Of the small controlled world within your hands.
Light from within seeks a desparate escape,
Your eyes follow the endless trails;
Overwhelming, As time escapes the globe;
and travels into eternal darkness.

Life Creates:
A winding road,
A twisted path,
Of Eternal Hate.
And so the dreams appear,
To fly away,
And vanish;
To avoid the endless void,
Trapping the mind;
In the mirror's cast,
Of shimmering existence.
Flooding the view,
of Nothingness;
As random thoughts,
Leap out of reality;
and once again,
the dreams,
Return.

In eternal faith I will never fear,
The loss of your smile, a sparkling tear,
As once you find you've fallen down,
A look up of hope, you still see the world,
Tumbling down;
Off its pillar of stability.
Walking midst your dreams at night,
Travelling blindly towards endless light;
Seemingly to shine, at no visible end,
Within yourself, an eternal friend;
Stumbling higher to ascend the ground,
You trip, yet reach the highest mound.
Solitary standing, tears weld up in your eyes,
No longer do you have to ask,
the hated question,"Why?"
I see that smile, I can feel your pain;
I sense that you will come back again,
And know, as you see that glimpse of your past;
Your chance was always here, you realized it at long last;
So as you slip into the darkness, send;
Your soul's light above, to find the end,
Of your hurt, and the roots of your pain,
As faith, is only what you crave,
Sorrow will no longer be your grave.

The porcelain mirror,
Creates a binding wall;
Looking out,
Dreaming beyond,
The porcelain mirror;
Allows souls to fall.
Until a shimmering,
Faded reflection reveals;
'Twas nothing;
No power, no illusion,
But a clear glimpse,
Of life, memories, and it all.

Building blocks of life;
Illusions seeping,
Through the cracks;
Dreams of creation,
And ultimate control;
Of endless visions,
Unknown to existence;
Close your eyes;
And be,
Reawakened.

Standing on the upper ledge,
The placid mirror in your hand;
Holding on to the last pictures of your face,
To end your life, you lost the race.
Plaster that "happy" grin once more
Too bad they aren't here anymore;
There's no longer people for you to impress,
Left alone, you start to regress.
Remember your moments of hate and pain,
Crushed by realization: Things can never be the same.
Where your illusions once kept you alive,
How your lies alone, once let you thrive.
"No regrets" the only phrase you can say,
Seems denial claimed another victim today;
You alone caused the fight that placed you here,
Your true self is all you have to fear.
Pain returns, immune to your act,
Pushed along, how much time before you crack?
No one here to keep you contained,
But left alone, you can't seem to explain...
Relying on others, throughout your life,
Creating circles of thoughts, now you grasp that knife,
Continuing to cut, until you feel pain;
But ask yourself, what did you just gain?
Did it make up for the hurt you caused all your peers,
Did it let you escape your temporary fears?
Did it make you feel real, for once long at last;
Or did you just cut, to re-examine the past?
The choices you made return in your mind,
The truth you want, is what you can't find.
If your own reality is what you seek,
Stick to your old choices, and choose to remain weak.

Take me to the Place,
Where I belong;
As I'm sitting here,
Waiting; to be pulled along.
Caught up and twisted
Hidden in Lies;
Once more pull the strings,
And Lift me up High.
Delusioned by your Reality,
Now nothing but Blind;
Worshipping a God,
New to Mankind.
Take me to the Place,
Where I belong,
Alone here, I'm asking:
What created a world so wrong?
Tears fall with the pouring rain,
Silent and solemn, here I remain;
Wishing for someone, to pull the strings;
Just to return me where I belong.
