DEPENDENCE
For dependence, favor lies. In their eyes, they see truth In their heart they know not justice But yet the truth prevails.
For dependence, devotion reigns, Respect follows in its own way. Love so phony but effective Just for a moment, just for a year.
So hypocritical man can be, So strong dependence can be. It sends grown men kneeling, Asking for help or favor.
When dependence takes over, Man's feelings are less considered. Ignoring who is at fault and not, Passing all so unfair, a judgment.
Just for the sake of dependence Everything else turns so ironical, Both in words and deeds. Who then is my brother's keeper?
