PRAYERS

As I care for my patients today
Be there with me, O Lord, I pray

Let me speak kind words that mean so much
And in my hands place Your healing touch

Let Your love shine through all that I do
So those in need may hear and feel You

Oh God, help me as I study
And prepare for life ahead
The future lays before me
As a book yet to be read

Mey I be always thankful
For this time I have to leard
Let me not forget that knowledge
Is a thing that I must earn

Help me not to take the easy way
But be proud of every feat
For with every corner that I cut
It's always me I cheat

May I keep your truths before me
That above all I've read or heard
Let me first and always be
A student of your word

Amen

Each time, before I face my class,
I hesitate a while,
And ask the Father,
"Help me, Lord, to understand each child

Help me to see in every one a precious soul, most dear;
And may I lead that child
Through paths of wonder
Not to fear

Dear Father, as they look to me
for Christian guidance true,
I look to Thee and humbly ask
that Thou wilt teach me, too."

Oh God, I kneel before You
With a humble heart I pray
May I be Your instrument
And work for You each day

Help me find those lost in sin
And bring them back to You
Let winning others to Your kingdom
Be the daily work I do

Guide every word that I should say
And may I always preach
The truth You've given in Your word
As You would have me teach

Lord, behold Your humble servant
Help me be what You'd have me be
For I've heard Your great commission
And I've answered, "Lord, send me."

Amen

Lord, please guide us daily
Grant us wisdom, strength and love,
As we guide this precious child
You ahve sent us from above.

Give us patience and control
To not hurt or neglect,
But instill with loving firmness
The behavior we expect.

Help us teach by good example
That your laws we must obey,
For children learn from what they see
Not just what we say.

Oh Lord, we need Your guidance
We cannot do this alone
Lord, may we have raised a Christian
When at last our child is grown

Oh Lord, while I'm on my beat
May I know that You're with me
And protect me as I go to guard
Other's lives and property

Help me to ignore those who scorn
And show me no respect
But be mindful of all citizens
I've sworn that I'll protect

Be with my fellow officers
And guard their safety too
May I always put my duty first
In the work that I must do

May I not disgrace the uniform
But bring pride to the badge I wear
That I'd be a good policeman, Lord
Would be my only prayer

Dear Lord,

You gave me the ability to think ....
Please help me to make wise choices.

You gave me the ability to hear ....
Help me listen for Your voice.

You gave me the ability to speak ....
Use my words to glorify You.

You gave me the ability to grow ....
May I become all You want me to be.

Lord, please clear my head of all distractions,
And my heart of burdens I may bear,
So I may perform my very best,
Knowing You'll always be there

Please lift me yp before the moment,
So through Your eyes I may see,
And have a clearer understanding,
As the game unfolds before me

With great courage I will meet this challenge,
As You would have me to,
But keep me humble and remind me,
That my strength comes form knowing You

Then when all eyes are upon me,
At the end of this big game,
I will turn their eyes to You O Lord,
And to the glory of Your name.
