"What is life? A madness. What is life? An illusion, a shadow, a story, and the greatest good is little enough, for all life is a dream..."
~Calderon de la Barca
I am my own religious teacher. I look within myself for guidance when I do not know the way. I believe the divine spirit can only be found through looking fear in the eye and saying "I can...I will." All you need to survive is yourself, my friend...
Is life an illusion? I know not, for I am only a single grain of sand on a vast beach of creation...I am but a small part of something infinitely huge. I will someday find out what I am here for. I will someday reach the end of this path. Someday.
We must return to our natural selves, depend upon our instincts for survival. We must become one with our earth, with our ancestors, who walked the same ground that we walk now. Those who breathed the same air we breathe. Those who gazed upon the same stars we gaze upon now.
It is important to believe in something. When you feel hopelessness or despair, it is the most comforting thing to have something to turn to--something that's always there, no matter what you've done or what's happened to you.
We are all different. It is important to respect those differences and to appreciate and accept each other for who we are. Our blindness for all but our own race is a twisted way of interpreting the world. We have been living in a sick world for too long. The time has come for us to heal.
