PLACES TO GO

Attractions | Beaches & the Bay | Libraries | Museums | Parks & Playgrounds

There are many places to go in San Diego, from tiny neighborhood parks to huge world-class attractions. As you will see, there are many places appropriate to the 3 and under crowd.

I have included a few expensive places to go, like Sea World and the San Diego Zoo, with the idea that you will get an annual pass to these places. $126 for an annual pass for 2 adults may seem pretty steep for some of you, but I think it is a great deal in the long run. You can go practically any day of the year, you have many miles of walking/entertainment opportunities in beautiful settings, there are amenities like bathrooms and concession stands, and you generally feel very safe.

PLAYGROUNDS

San Diego Playgrounds: STOP! Before you go to any of the following links, try this one first. Subtitled "The Cure for Cabin Fever," this is a great resource for finding playgrounds (which are always situated in parks, although parks do not always have playgrounds). You can view people's evaluations of each playground, as well as submit a review of your own!

But to really get to know us, take a virtual hike with us from the Sunset Trailhead at Mt. Laguna, 45 miles east of San Diego and 5500 feet above sea level."
