Enjoyed me rather brief visit Seal...Read your draft. I was surprised that that the history of science into your mind/body problem was not incorporated...could easily add a perspective of creating a common objective structure that humanity, to a real degree, is beginning to outgrow...the pendulum simply swu g to the opposite extreme... I believe many self aware individuals will challenge themselves to experience a variety of subjective truths...continuously...to prove to themselves that they do not hold a monopoly..nor solidify any one perspective to value above another...as life's plan and purpose. Because we have access to such a profound amount of information, humanity is challenged like never before to ..lol..sink or swim...For those individuals who are unable to assimilate large amounts of info....or...see little or no value in it..will retreat o hard science and/or religious dogma that provides a sense of security and stability... The challenge then becomes how do we, as a world culture, set the stage to challenge these individuals..and in fact whole cultures...to experience otherness...Their retreat to objectivity and dogma...which is increasing rather than decreasing in many area of the world is based on..fear I would suspect..What kind of foundation would be required to allow fearful individuals and groups to move toward an otherness? That's been an ongoing question for me... *sigh* It's late and I'm positive I've rambled..and I would enjoy the opportunity to converse with you in real time.
