The Tomseth House overlooks the Dorris Ranch from its higher elevation near the
entrance to the park. Before it spreads a wet open field with the Dorris Barn on
its opposite edge. At least three other privately owned residences are tucked away
in this park. The gravel roads that connect these hidden homes make a stark contrast
to the paved gridwork of roads that exist immediately outside of the park. The
way the park roads follow the curves of the land and the orchards speak of an attitude
less dominating over nature.
