The Rosary
The Rosary is a centuries old Catholic devotion consisting of praying while meditating upon the life of Jesus Christ. The beads are used as a device for counting the number of prayers and keeping your place. The Rosary is an instrument for prayer and is most effective when meditation on the mysteries accompanies the reciting of the prayers. We talk to God when we pray the prayers and we listen to God when we meditate upon the mysteries of His life.
