The Trestle Board

From the Worshipful Master:

Trestleboard for September & October 1999

Sepember 28, 1999

Dear Brethern,

It seems quite a long time since I have put out a news letter, but actually it was just before summer.  Over the summer should have received your Masonic Birthday cards and everyone should have received at least one during the year.  If you have not please let me know and I will rectify that.

We held the Lodge Installation of Officers on Sunday the 18th of September.  The Installing Master was our own outgoing Worshipful Master and Grand Lecturer Carl Mueller and he was very ably assisted by Very Worshipful Master "Buck" Buchanan the Grand Junior Warden, who acted as Installing Marshall.

The slate of elected and duly installed officers for the year 1999 - 2000 is as follows:

Master...........................................WBr. George Larimore
Senior Warden.............................................Br. Bill Hobbs
Junior Warden..........................................Br. George Main
Treasurer............................WBr. Melvin "Shorty" Cochran
Secretary....................................................Br. John Jensen

We are again honored to Have Br. Hubert Schnieder as our Tyler.

We had a very good turn out for the Installation which included Grand Master Right Worshipful Brother Don Maddox as well as Past Grand Master Very Worshipful Brother Gerhard Sevrin.  Other Grand Lodge Officers, Past Master, and a standing Master were also present.  We had a total of 21 Master Masons, 1 Fellow Craft and 28 visitors.

After the installation we left the lodge and went to the Cantigny Club on Leighton Barracks  The old Officers' Club for those that haven't been in Wuerzburg for awhile.  The evening was enjoyed by all that attended and consisted fo a cocktail reception for about ahour followed by a buffet supper including wine.

Unfortunately the annual Boat Ride was cancelled this year due to the deployment of troops to Kosovo and the lack of Masons able to work the function.  We are in need of another fund raiser so if anyone has any suggestions please let us know.

We still have a number of brothers that have not paid their dues for this year.  To be exact there are nine.  This is not due to having incorrect addresses, except in one case, this is for some other reason that they have decided not to pay their dues.  So just a reminder that the end of the year is coming up when we will vote whether to suspend delinquent brothers.  Please don't put yourself in that position.  Pay your dues as soon as possible.

To all Brothers that have paid your dues on time I would like to thankyou, as this saves the lodge and me alot of time and money.  So please keep it up.  Do not send any dues in yet, as I will not have the dues cards until after the Semi-Annual Grand Lodge Meeting.  Which is held at the end of November.  I will be sending out another news letter at that time to inform you of what has taken place at the meeting and to remind you that it is now the time to pay your annual dues.

We had a number of Brothers that have or will receive thier 25 year certificates this year.  If you think you are entitled to a certificate and have not received one, please let me know and I will look into it for you.  The Brothers for this year are, Br. Oren McElroy 17 Jan 74; George Congden & Richard Levandovsky 27 Feb 74; Richard Nelson 11 Mar 74; Brenton Johnson 13 Jun 74; Harrel Sholar & Norman Visokey 10 Jul 74; James Mulford 24 Jul 74; Miguel Ada 11 Sep 74; John Bennet 09 Oct 74; Bill Heithcock 27 Nov 74; James Colebank 18 Dec 74; and for 1973 was Karl Schmid 25 Jul 73.  Congratulations to you all, from all the Brothers of our Lodge.

If your anniversary Certificate has not arrived yet, please be patient as I will send out the certificates at the beginning of that month.  Norman, yours will be on it's way shortly.

I hope that you are keeping well and look forward to hearing from you.  I will be writing again in November after the Semi-Annual Grand Lodge meeting.

May the Great Architect grant you both health and happiness.

Yours Sincerely and Fraternally

John Jensen
