San Diego News

Jessie and Alicia came to see Phil play water polo.  Valhalla and Bishop's were tied at halftime 5-5, but Bishop's came on very strong in the second half.  Jessie has her LSAT scores in hand and is applying to Law School.  Alicia enjoyed her birthday present from John, a semi-private concert with Paul McCartney at Staples Center in LA.

News From Mary:  ( about 6 weeks old) ( Only minor editing)

Hi Jim et al,

News from here...    Had a great set of weekend guests. John Alicia and Jessie. We watched Jessie play ultimate Frisbee, we ogled and ahed with Johanna, and traveled up the mountain on the tram for splendid views and some fine dining.,

Next weekend we traveled to Dillon for Board meeting of condos where Ann and Tom each own one bedrooms. BUT the aspen were at there peak...it was breathtaking seeing all those yellow quaking leaves...

This coming weekend Ann, John and Joe are coming...along with Brookie and Kurt.  The Balloon Fiesta has 700 hot air balloons this year and some 80 are from foreign countries. The new special shapes are the most intriguing...a flying pig and a huge blue dragon are new this year...

On Sunday Johanna will be christened at San Felipe church. Her godparents are Tom and Michele Keleher.

Our cousin , Joan Amberg is helping with my new home. She is a designer and now a great friend. She is VERY distant but her uncles were physicians...one was at Mayo.

I know this is way more than anyone wants to know so feel free to editorialize gustily.

Oh, one more thing...my niece, Andrea Kelly, is getting married in Bemidji next summer so we all will be heading up to Minnesota...I learned this AFTER I had wiggled out an invite from Jessie to Star Island. I am super excited about that. I hope it all works.

A special hello to all my Amberg relatives and I send much love, Aunt Mary

Thanks for the contribution

Minnesota News.

Joe reports flooding in the basement, silently chauffeuring a young lady around town with her gentleman caller, and losing at cards to Lucille.

Joe saw John and Alicia for cabin closing time. It was cold but beautiful up at the lake.

Seattle News.

Jan was in San Diego for gator-fest.  Cajun style music drew here here.
