From Molly in Minnesota

Here's my story:

I recently won the title of Lady-in-Waiting for the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Junior Royalty.  To receive this award I had to go through the process of two interviews.  The judges picked three boys and three girls to make up the court.  They narrowed it down from 40 girls and 20 boys.  The order for girls is Queen, Lady in Waiting and then Princess of the Four Winds.  So far, the six of us have been in two parades with 20 more to come and have done numerous amounts of random appearances.  The Winter Carnival is a big deal here!  One embarrassing thing did happen during our coronation.  When they were crowning me, my crown fell off!  I just blame it on the Amberg gene of big heads.  Now my tiara fits perfectly and hasn't fallen off since.  Pictures will come in a month.

Love, Molly

have another little tidbit of information if you need more.  I got my drivers permit ( I passed with flying colors) and am already driving on urban streets.  Mom is a little shaky in the car, but we are both doing well.

Unedited Seattle News.

Hey Uncle Jim!
Well, I'm going to Ireland and then London on March 13 to perform with the marching band in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin
, Ireland.  I'm really excited.      I went to go visit University of Oregon this past weekend and visited Alicia at Gonzaga.  I have been accepted so far to U of OR, U of WA, and St. Mary's College of California. I'm still waiting for a response from NYU and Boston College.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.     Judd and Sheri (ooh la la) are down in Hawaii.  Alicia is coming home next week for Spring break.  Jill is unheard from (surprise!).    That's all from me.  Go SEATTLE!
Love,    Gillian

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Judd has been dating his roommate Sherrie since Christmas time.  They had been living together for over three years and FINALLY it happened.  Mom & Gillian came to visit me at school last week.  Gillian is going to Dublin Ireland with the Marching Band to play in the St. Patricks Day Parade.  Mom and I will be heading to either Disneyland or Arizona next week for my Spring Break.  Baseball season is about to start for all of us!!!  School is going great for me.  There has been no snow in Spokane all winter... very nice!  Mom and Marty just celebrated their 2 year anniversary.

That is all I can think of for now.  I got a digital camera for Christmas so I will try to send pictures next month.

Love, Alicia Jr.

 Rollicking Irish Music
 To the Friends of Skelpin',
Okay, okay, okay.  We know we said it before, BUT THIS TIME WE  MEAN IT:  the album is coming out.  We hit more snags than a pair of old  stockings.  But, it is coming out.  We want to thank everyone who has been  with us through this trying time.  We also want to let everyone know that  our web site is up and running!!!  It is still in the beginning stages, but  you can go there and read a short bio of the band, hear samples of our  music, and (soon) see pictures from our recent gigs.  You can get to the  website in two ways: by clicking on the Skelpin' logo at the top of this  page, or by going to www.skelpin.com

We also want everyone to know that we are back on at Dublin Square every  Wednesday starting at 8:30 pm!  We will also be there on Sunday March 16  and Monday March 17 for a weekend of St. Patrick's Day debauchery!  We hope  you can make it out.  In the meantime, go to our new website!!!

All the Best to you and yours,

 Skelpin'

Ann, John, Joe, Opal and I are off to San Carlos for a week on the beach. Looking forward to fishing for the big ones, watching the birds (lots of pelicanos) and the whales. We may sip some margaritas and dine on lobster and shrimp. If we get a good picture we will send it along.
