The reasoning behind this page is twofold: (1) vent their frustrations or speak out to perpetrators, and (2) it is a resource for those who wish to read how others have coped with this kind of abuse. Often, when we read that others have been through experiences similar to our own, it removes some of the stigma we attach to the negative experiences we have had. We also tend to feel more safe talking about these kinds of experiences when we see that others have also taken this bold step toward recovery.
