THE GREAT INVOCATION.
The mantram or formula below is the interpretation of
"seven ancient word-forms" in modern language, and is the supreme
achievement of Alice A. Bailey and the Tibetan, Djwhal Khul's 30 years
of work together, published just after the great World War (for a complete
elaboration with interpretations, The Externalisation of the Hierachy
by Alice A. Bailey is recommended - a few other books on the subject are
also available now for supplementary study). The originally final, modern
version of the Great Invocation is:
FROM THE POINT OF LIGHT WITHIN THE MIND OF GOD
LET LIGHT STREAM FORTH INTO THE MINDS OF MEN.
LET LIGHT DESCEND ON EARTH.
FROM THE POINT OF LOVE WITHIN THE HEART OF GOD
LET LOVE STREAM FORTH INTO THE HEARTS OF MEN.
MAY CHRIST RETURN TO EARTH.
FROM THE CENTRE WHERE THE WILL OF GOD IS KNOWN
LET PURPOSE GUIDE THE LITTLE WILLS OF MEN ---
THE PURPOSE WHICH THE MASTERS KNOW AND SERVE.
FROM THE CENTRE WHICH WE CALL THE RACE OF MEN
LET THE PLAN OF LOVE AND LIGHT WORK OUT
AND MAY IT SEAL THE DOOR WHERE EVIL DWELLS.
LET LIGHT AND LOVE AND POWER RESTORE THE PLAN ON EARTH.
The Great Invocation was and is used by the Christ (the head of the Hierachy) every day, when invoking Shambala. Now it should also be used on a massive scale by Humanity, the distribution put into the hands of the New Group of World Servers, as a tremendous tool making the way for the reapperance of the Christ. Due to its simplicity and universality, it is a prayer to the devotee of any religious belief, but also an invocation to be used increasingly, both individually and in group formation, in the foundation of the new world religion where the rites will be based on the process of invokation and evokation, hence a powerful formula bridging the present with the future.
The original phrasing (in english, a first ray language, contained in e.g. every english version of Alice A. Bailey's books) has been translated to around 70 national languages and dialects, due to the fact that the effect of this powerfull formula increase notably when used with understanding and creative imagination. Therefore the Tibetan allowed such translations (available from e.g. Lucis Trust, cf. section of LINKS), even at the cost of losing some of its mantric and rhythmic effects. In these days (February 2000) prior to the expected outlet of Shambala force in May 2000, a new attempt through many groups is going out, aiming af even greater world wide circulation and use of the Great Invocation, allowing also versions where the words "men" and "Christ" are changed into what is considered more suitable wordsymbols, in order to avoid misconception of the content of the formula. To that end, perhaps it should be emphasised, that the word "men" refer to all members of the human family, and not only the masculine half. And the term "Christ" denote the Comming One, of what ever name used in the different world religions (the Messias to the jude, Imam Madi to the muslim, Christ to the christian, the Kalki avatar to the hindu, Lord Maitreia to the buddhist, and so forth). The term Christ refer only to the office as Worldteacher ,"the Teacher of Angels and Men alike, and the Master of Masters", head of the Hierachy in this second ray solar system, and together with the Manu and the Mahachohan, the leaders of the three departments of the Hierachy corresponding to the tree aspects and the three major rays, directly linked to Sanat Kumara, head of the Great Counsel of Shambala and the logoic representative on the globe.
May the Great Invocation be used on as large a scale as
possible and in every country all over the world, for the hastening of
the reapperance of the Christ and the materialisation of the Kingdom of

planet Earth.
