The Hundred Years' War
The longest war in history, fought between England and France 1337-1453. The entire war was fought on French soil. A famous figure from the war was the French peasant girl and later saint, Joan of Arc. The English won the major battles, including Crecy 1346 and Azincourt 1415, but lost the war.
