Assignment 4 Creating
and Editing Word Documents
- If you have questions, ask the instructor
or the lab attendant for assistance.
- If you have not already done so, make a copy of the lab diskettes.
The lab diskettes can be obtained from your instructor or the lab attendant.
- Complete the first Word 2000 tutorial by following the instructions on
pages WD1-1 thru WD1-51. Note: the lab instructions are shown in blue text.
- Complete Hand-On Practice Exercises 1 & 4.
- Attach the completed Hand-On Exercises to an email addressed to your
instructor by following these steps:
- Go to the http://yahoo.com web
site then click on the check mail icon to start yahoo mail.
- Sign-in to yahoo by entering your user id and password.
- Click on the Compose link to start a new message.
- In the To: box type the email address of your instructor (i.e. csit101@yahoo.com)
- In the Bcc: box type your email address.
- In the Subject: box type-in Lab 4.
- In the Message area type in your name and class section number.
- Scroll the window until you see the Edit Attachment button.
- Click on the Edit Attachment button.
- After the attachment window appear, click on the browse button to
select the file containing the document for Hand-On Exercise 1.
After selecting the file click on the Open button.
- Click on the attach button to attach the selected file.
- Repeat steps 9 & 10 to attach the file containing the document for
Hand-On Exercise 4.
- Click on the Done button.
- Click on the Send button to send your email.
