Steve and Audrey Pocock have been called to serve as missionaries in
Suriname, South America, teaching at the Bible school and assisting in church
ministries.
They were raised in Houghton, NewYork. Steve received a degree in Bible and philosophy in 1979 from Houghton College and an M.Div. degree in 1986 from Asbury Theological Christian education from Houghton College in 1979. |
Since 1986, Steve and Audrey Pocock began their missionary
service in Liberia until interrupted by the civil war. Steve and Audrey then
served as missionaries in Zambia where for four years Steve was a Bible college
teacher training pastors in the Jembo Bible School. Audrey was involved in
discipling and training students' wives. In 1995 they accepted a re-appointment
to Suriname, South America.
Now they will be returning to Suriname for a second term to teach in the Bible school and to work with church development. Steve and Audrey have fallen in love with the task of befriending, discipling, and teaching God's people. Pray for them in this new venture. The Pococks have four children, Stephanie (1982), Kara (1984), Michael (1988), and John Mark (1990). |
