Marina Castañeda

Marina Castañeda (b. Mexico City, 1956) studied at Harvard University, the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, Stanford University, and the US International University.  She holds graduate degrees in Modern Thought and Literature and Counseling Psychology, and studied hypnosis and hypnotherapy in the United States and Mexico.

She has had a private practice in psychotherapy and hypnotherapy since 1989, in Mexico City and Cuernavaca.  She has taught and lectured at various universities and training institutes in Mexico.

She has published over 250 articles on the psychology of communication and current events in various Mexico City newspapers, and a book on the psychology of homosexuality published in France by Robert Laffont (Comprendre l'homosexualité, 1999) and in Mexico by Editorial Paidós (
La experiencia homosexual, 1999).
