You must make your own reservations if you would like to experience a train ride in the "Grand Canyon of the Arkansas" (The one on the Left above, lucky you.)
If you are arriving early, or staying late, you will enjoy the Royal Gorge Route train ride. They offer 3-daily departures at: 9:00, 12:00 and 3:00. Ticket prices are $26.95 for adults and $16.50 for children ages 3-12. If you wish to experience this train ride that has been termed "The most spectacular 12 miles of railroad in America," we strongly recommend making advance reservations to secure your seat aboard The Royal Gorge Route.
The Royal Gorge Route follows the most famous portion of the old Denver & Rio Grande Western train line, 24 miles round-trip, from Canon City to Parkdale and return. The two hour train ride takes passengers through the "Grand Canyon of the Arkansas" on an unforgettable journey over the famous Hanging bridge, which clings precariously to the steep granite walls of the Royal Gorge, towering over 1,000 feet above.

Delicious BBQ, refreshments, Espresso Coffee and other food items are available at the Santa Fe Depot with seating for 100 on our spacious patio.
