Parallels in the 400's
God Mapped out the Year of Six Main End-time Events
Years ago, I unexpected stumbled upon the knowledge that God had singled out six blocks of years (now I see 7), totaled them up and saw to it that they were listed in Scripture to mark the years of the most important coming events of our time. I was astonished.
Each block is in the four hundreds; and there are no others. Here is a list of the years:
(1) 400 from the casting out of Ishmael to the Exodus (Gen. 15:13; Acts 7:6,7)
(2) 430 from Abram's call to the Exodus (Ex. 12:40,41; Gal. 3:17,18)
(3) 434 (Dan. 9:25) "threescore and two weeks" (62 x 7 = 434)
(4) 450 from the division of Canaan to king Saul, the period of the judges (Acts 13:19,20)
(5) 480 Theocratic Years from the Exodus to the time construction began on the temple (excluding the servitudes when Israel was out of fellowship) (I Kings 6:1)
(6) 483 from the time the commandment was given to rebuild Jerusalem to just before the Crucifixion (Dan. 9:25,26)
(7) 490 Theocratic Years from the commandment to rebuild Jerusalem to the Second Advent (excluding the church era, when Israel is out of fellowship, in the gap between the 69th and 70th week of years) (Dan. 9:24).
Correlation Between the Previous Age and This Age
The correlation between circumstances in the last age and those in this age are not difficult to see. For instance: God told Abraham "That his seed would sojourn in a strange land; and that they (the Egyptions) should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years. And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place" (Acts 7:6,7; Genesis 15:13).
In the last age, the Israelites were oppressed by Egyptians 400 years, starting when Ishmael was cast out, then began their Exodus to the promised land. In this age, they were oppressed 400 years while the Ottoman Turks held the land. Then, they again began an exodus to the promised land.
The Ottoman Turks took over Jerusalem in the Jewish 5278, our 1517 A.D., on their drive into Egypt. Both Palestine and Egypt became Ottoman provinces at that time.
After the early days of Ottoman rule, Palestine in general deteriorated under their maladministration. Both Arab and Jew in the land suffered terrible poverty.
Even the JEWS WHO WERE OUT OF THE LAND WERE OPPRESSED. They were so hated, persecuted and killed that there finally arose a Zionist movement, first led by Theodor Herzl then by Chaim Weizmann, with dreams of going back to the land and establishing a national homeland for the Jews. (I did not mean to make those caps. They just happened.)
Herzl organized an international Zionist movement to create a homeland there secured by law. The first Zionist Congress was in Basel, Switzerland, in 1897. His dream included a voluntary exodus to a Jewish state. The Zionists started buying up as much land as possible in Palestine. A great number of Jews began settling on it.
The same year the Ottomans took Jerusalem, Martin Luther tacked his ninety-five theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany. That was 5278, our Oct. 31, 1517, the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.
On the 400th anniversary of this event, the tide began to change for the Jews. On Oct. 31, 1917, the British Lord, General Edmund Allenby, took Beersheba and began his drive toward Jerusalem. By Nov. 2, the Balfour Declaration was signed, giving the Zionists great hope.
To gain Jewish support and because Chaim Weizmann, a chemist, discovered how to make synthetic cordite, an explosive, for them, Britain granted his request that his people be allowed to reestablish a homeland in Palestine.
The Balfour declaration stated in part; "His Majesty's Government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a National Home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of that object."
On Dec. 8, the Turks were seized with panic and left Jerusalem without a shot being fired, leaving behind a letter of surrender which was brought to the Christian General Allenby when he and his officers were in his tent praying. He had dropped propaganda leaflets signed Lord Allenby. Because of an old prophecy, the Turks thought they would lose the city when a man of Allah delivered it, so they fled.
The year 1917 was marked by the number seven. The maximum number of solar and lunar eclipses in one year is seven. The seventh appeared just as Allenby marched into Jerusalem. He officially took possession on Dec. 11. The people received him with joy as a liberator.
As WW I ended, the modern exodus to Palestine began. The League of Nations gave Great Britain mandate over Palestine in 1922. Immigration was speeded up by the persecution of the Jews by the Nazis and Communists. On the day the British withdrew their mandate, Israel declared her Independence to avoid having her land partitioned as had been approved by the UN General Assembly on Nov. 29, 1947.
Israel became a nation Iyar 5, 5708 (Friday, May 14, 1948) with 872,000 people. As the British Mandate ended, David Ben-Gurion read aloud the Declaration of Independence, announcing the establishment of the State of Israel.
She was attacked, and though badly outnumbered, with God's help, stayed grafted into her old rootstock. Her time had come.
From the Jewish 5278 (our 1517) to 5708 (our 1948) is 430 years. Both 400 and 430-year periods marked very important milestones in the modern history of the Israelites.
The second parallel is obvious. In the last age, God called one man, a gentile named Abram, out of idolatry in Babylonia, then after 430 years, brought the Israelites out of Egypt where they had been bitterly oppressed. In this age, God again called one man, a gentile named Martin Luther, out of idolatry in what Luther called "Babylon." Then after 430 years, God brought the Israelites out of nations where they had been bitterly oppressed. These parallels are too obvious to have happened by chance.
The first two parallels establish the mathematics to be continued for the entire series
The base year is the Jewish 5278. The total of each succeeding block of years is to be added to 5278, not to the sum of 5278 and the previous block. Here is this astonishing series:
5278 plus 400 equals 5678 (1917/18) (a 7/8)
5278 plus 430 equals 5708 (1947/48) (a 7/8)
5278 plus 434 equals 5712 (1951/1952)
5278 plus 450 equals 5728 (1967/68) (a 7/8)
5278 plus 480 equals 5758 (1997/98) (a 7/8)
5278 plus 483 equals 5761 (2000/01)
5278 plus 490 equals 5768 (2007/08) (a 7/8)
Since Jewish civil years start on Tishri 1 in our September or October, they span parts of two of our years.
The New Series
We have a new series: 5678, 5708, 5712, 5728, 5758, 5761, and 5768. Do important things happen in these years? Yes! the list is impressive. It is exciting to find that God has arranged this for us to find in the time of the end.
In 5678 (1917/18), the modern exodus began
In 5708 (1947/48), Israel declared her Independence
In 5712 (1951/52), Jerusalem declared capitol
In 5728 (1967/68), the Six-Day War, Sign of the End of the Age, had already been won
In 5758 (1997/98), the 6000th year of man's test being mortal and knowing good and evil
In 5761 (2000/01), Maybe the Rapture and beginning of the Tribulation on the Feast of Weeks/Pentecost, May 28, 2001
In 5768 (2007/08), I believe Christ will return the first day of the Jewish Regnal Year, Nisan 1 (Apr. 6, 2008)
No man could have planned this. Only God, who had his complete timetable in mind, could have known how to draw these parallels. Truly, Scripture is God breathed.
In the last age, Samuel anointed Saul king over Israel at the end of the 450-year period of the judges. An "evil spirit from God was upon Saul" (1 Sam. 16:23). He ruled 40 years and had his kingdom taken away from him because he disobeyed God's injunctions. Then David became king.
In this age, after the 450 years, we have another 40 years of probation. Near the end, the Satan indwelt False Prophet, king of Israel, will be deposed. Then Jesus, the "son of David," will become King.
In the 480th Theocratic Year after the children of Israel were come out of Egypt in the last age, Solomon, the son of David, began to build the first temple.
The parallel in our days may be that in the 480th year, Jesus Christ, the son of David, came looking (as in the first year of the parable in Lu. 13:6-9) and selecting the stones of the spiritual temple, the Bride of Christ. Before Lot was brought out of Sodom, the Lord went looking to see if there were any righteous. He said, "I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know" (Gen. 18:21). Maybe the Lord comes looking for the righteous before the Pre-Trib Rapture takes place also.
In Daniel's prophecy concerning the 483 years, there were to be "troublous times."
In our days, starting in the 483rd year, the Tribulation is the time of trial and trouble that is to come upon the whole world.
In the 490th year, the seven-year Tribulation will end and Christ will return.
This is why Sarah, who represented the free Jerusalem had to wait until she was 90 years old to give birth to Isaac, the son of promise. There will be 90 years between the liberation of Jerusalem in the Jewish 5678 (1917) and the return of Christ as promised in 5768 (2008). "This is the word of promise, the Lord said, at this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son" (Rom. 9:9).
