World government meeting in September
Major U.N. confab seeks to implement 'global decision-making'
By Jon E. Dougherty, WorldNetDaily

The United Nations is sponsoring a global government conference in the fall designed to examine "the future of the world," and to create "an organizational structure whereby the peoples of the world can participate effectively in global decision-making in the context of the United Nations system."
In preparation for this unprecedented conference, "Charter 99: A Charter for Global Democracy" calls for all nations to adopt principles of "international accountability, justice, and sustainable development" under the umbrella of democratic representation -- through the United Nations....

World government by September?

Are you ready for world government? Are you willing to cede national sovereignty to the United Nations? Are you prepared to become a citizen of the world and give up your individual rights as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution?

For most of you, I suspect the answer to all of these questions is a resounding "NO!" But it's time for the questions to be asked -- past time, really.

The reason? The U.N. is planning a conference -- a "Millennium Summit" -- next month, coinciding with the 55th session of the General Assembly, that will either set the world on an inevitable march toward global government or raise enough questions to wake up Americans to the looming threat....

The U.N.'s shocking millennium agenda
Geoff Metcalf interviews United Nations expert Joan Veon

By Geoff Metcalf, WorldNetDaily

Several years ago, businesswoman Joan Veon had no idea she would one day be standing toe-to-toe with world leaders, challenging their ideas on global government. Since that time, however, Veon has done extensive research on the United Nations and the organization's agenda and has attended dozens of U.N. conferences. In her book, "Prince Charles -- The Sustainable Prince," Veon explores the prince's connections to both the U.N. and the most powerful corporate leaders in the world.
WorldNetDaily reporter and talk show host Geoff Metcalf recently interviewed Veon about her analysis of the United Nations and its plans for the future....

Re: "hayah", PC581
Again, the sharpshooters have raised a question with me.

My Bible research materials include only Strong's Concordance, which does not show (at least in my computer edition) the word "hayah" in Gen 1:2. Since this is the only concordance that I have, and it appears to be missing something, please let me know what concordance, or concordances, that I could use for a more complete reference.

Please keep up your great work, there are many out here watching and praying with you. Agape

My reply

Look at Strong's 1961, hayah, to exist, be or become, come to pass, become accomplished. Also look up "became" and "becamest" in Strong's.

Look at Gesenius Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon of the Old Testament, Numerically coded to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. 1961, to be, to exist, to become, to come to pass. It gives as examples. Gen. 1:3, "let there be light--and there was (came into existence) light." Gen. 19:26, "and she became (was made) a pillar of salt." Gen. 2:7, "and man became a living soul."

Gen. 2:10 has "a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became (hayah) into four heads."

Gen. 2:24 has "they shall be (hayah, become) one (echad, united) flesh."

Gen. 17:4 has, "behold, my covenant is with thee (Abraham), and thou shalt be (hayah, become) a father of many nations."

Gen. 18:18 has "Abraham shall surely become (hayah) a great and mighty nation."

Gen. 20:12 has "she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became (hayah) my wife."

Gen. 24:67 has, "Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became (hayah) his wife."

Gen. 47:20 has, "so the land became (hayah) Pharaoh's.

Ex. 4:3 has, "he cast it on the ground, and it became (hayah) a serpent; amd Moses fled from before it."

Ex. 4:4 has "the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became (hayah) a rod in his hand."

When the word for "to be" is expressed, it means that there is a change of state, condition or circumstance. I think Gen. 1:2 should be translated "And the earth BECAME without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep." The NIV goes along with the KJV, but adds a note at the bottom, "Or possibly became." In Dr. Tabor's translation for the Original Bible Project, he too has that note: "Or possibly became." They don't want to become embroiled in controversy, but they know it means "became."

The Earth was good in the beginning. Isa. 45:18 says, "thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he CREATED IT NOT IN VAIN (tohu, waste, without form, ruin), he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else." Earth became ruin and desolation. The land drowned in the waters.

The Bible does not contradict itself. Isa. 45:18 is clear. Earth was created "NOT in vain (tohu, ruin)." Therefore, Gen. 1:2 means that the Earth became (tohu) ruin. I get the feeling that some people won't see this, because they don't want to see it. It might upset some of their preconceived opinions. I try my best to let the Bible interpret itself. God knows what really took place.

Many times, all the details we need to know are not in one passage. That is by design, so the wicked will not understand and will fall backward and be taken. We have to lay one scripture beside other scriptures to get the full story. Here, if we lay Isa 45:18 beside Gen. 1:2, we can see immediately what it means. People like R.B. Theime, Jr., that studied Hebrew for 5 years, teach that Gen. 1:2 means that Earth became ruin. It was not created that way.

It became that way before man was put on Earth. I think it became that way as a consequence of Satan's sin, not man's. I think Satan was judged and his planet, Rahab, was split apart, forming our Asteroid Belt. I think an asteroid impacted Earth and caused it to become "tohu" and "bohu," ruin and desolation. That is why the Lord had to refashion Earth to make it a fit habitat for Adam. I think Earth will need to be refreshed again after the catastrophic asteroid impacts of the 1st day of the millennial Day of the Lord. The new heavens (atmospheric) and new Earth of those days means the atmosphere and face (surface) of the Earth will be refreshed once again. Agape

Re: Rapture Aftermath
I really believe that the Rapture will have a significant impact on those left behind on earth. It has the potential of bringing about a stock market crash and severe economic depression to the U.S. alone. Many job positions (doctors, lawyers, CEO's, IT personnel, politicians) will be vacant. Currently major corporations are seeking to fill large number of positions in both permanent and temporary services and they are having a hard time doing so. There will be even fewer people on earth to fill these vacancies. Unemployment is at an all time low.

I believe that Our Father in Heaven will allow consequences to occur when the Rapture takes place. This event, which is meant to remove the Bride/Church is also a wake up call for those who were lukewarm or not Christians at all. There will be chaos! There will be downed planes, trains off track, car pile ups, boats adrift, fires (stoves/ovens left on), confusion, resultant suicides, emotional breakdowns, fear, terror, etc. and all of this will happen "at the same time, all at once". There will even be fewer emergency personnel to help with this resulting chaos.

Both the Presidential candidates have stated they are Christians. Can you image the shock if the Rapture occurs prior to the election and both candidates just disappear? I believe the Rapture will impact the earth more severely than we can ever image.

I've come across a site which states many reasons why the Rapture could take place on the Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah. The reasons listed are numerous and fascinating: http://geocities.datacellar.net/bibleprophesy/.

Marilyn, enjoy your Pro/Con as always! I pray for the health of you and your family. Sure hope those leg pains have gone away! Take Care!

My reply

Thanks for your kind words and the link. I had not seen this site recently. I will enclose a copy of the comments I sent Jason. I think the 2nd Rapture is on the Feast of Trumpets, but am not convinced the 1st one is because of Song of Sol. 2:10-14. The Eve of Trumpets would make sense though, because I think Eve, the bride, was taken out of the body of Adam on the Eve of Trumpets. That is the 1st clue found in the Bible. I don't know what all will happen at the time of the Rapture, but there might be some disaster at the same time that the media would focus on. We are not told the details, except Psa. 40:1-3 shows that many will see the Rapture take place and will trust in the Lord. That will be the beginning of that great multitude that will come out of Great Tribulation (Rev. 7:9,14).

Ed and I are ok. My new medicine for muscle spasms is not a cure all, but it sure helps. Agape

***From Marilyn: I just had another look at your Web site. Overall, you are doing a good job. I agree that there is a Pre-Trib Rapture. There also is a Pre-Wrath Rapture. Here are my thoughts as I read your web page.

Summary of reasons why Christians expect to see the rapture happen on the Feast of Trumpets / Rosh Hashanna. Feast of Trumpets happens on the "new moon", which is 29.5 days after the last one, meaning it might occur on the 29th or 30th day, no body knows for sure. "Of that day or hour no man knows" is an expression referring to this feast.

***From Marilyn: In the Talmudic Jewish Calendar in use today, the number of days from Nisan 1 to Tishri 1 never vary. Elul always has 29 days.

We are directly told that this Feast of Trumpets new moon festival is a shadow of Christ's return in Col 2:16,17

***It is not that clear. Col 2:16,17 says, "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."

The Feast of Trumpets is also known as the coronation of the Messiah, when he will start reigning as king, thus the beginning of the "Day of the Lord", which includes the tribulation.

***I think Trumpets is Coronation Day and the beginning of the millennial Day of the Lord, but it comes on the 2300th day of the Tribulation.

[2 Thessalonians 2:3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day [tribulation] shall not come, except there come a falling away [departure/rapture] first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

***The falling away is the departure, the Rapture, however "that day" is not the Tribulation. It is the millennial Day of the Lord. Major MSS have day of the Lord. I think it starts on the 2300th day of the Tribulation.

The tribulation doesn't start, until you are raptured first, which allows the man of sin (antichrist) to be revealed.

***This is correct. The False Prophet, the wicked one, will be revealed at the beginning of the Tribulation when he and the Beast confirm the 7-yr. covenant.

[Isa 26:20] Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. ***This refers to the 2nd Rapture, the Pre-Wrath Rapture, instead of the Pre-Trib Rapture.

[Pss 27:5] For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

***This is the 2nd Rapture. This day will be the day of Jacob's trouble. Dan. 12:1 says that it is "a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book." This is the Pre-Wrath Rapture on the Day of God's Wrath, the 1st day of the millennial Day of the Lord.

[2Cor 11:2] For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

***This scripture shows that the 5 wise virgins are the Bride of Christ.

[Col 1:13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

***Paul was talking to "the saints and faithful brethren" (v. 2). Therefore "us" in v. 13 includes both Paul and the saints. When Paul, one of the 24 elders, is translated (raptured) in Rev. 4:1, so are the saints. He "hath translated US."

1 Thess, the first book of the New Testament, the first verses listed on this page, does not speak of any signs of the tribulation. It speaks of the rapture only as the thing to watch for, and look forward to.

***Good point, being as some are watching for the wicked one instead of watching for Christ.

[Titus 2:13] Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

[Heb 9:28] So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

***I like this: "unto them that look for him shall he appear." I'm watching.

We do not look for, nor are told to look for, Satan's appearing.

***Amen.

[1Pet 1:5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

***Since "time" can mean year (Rev. 12:6,14), I hope this year is "the last time." It seems to be the last of the 7 good years that could have started with the signing of the Oslo Accords Sept. 13, 1993.

If the rapture comes this september, there will be 1260 days, times 2, plus 30 days until the Day of Atonement 7 years later. If we let these 30 extra days start after September, then Satan's revealing and confirming the covenant will be right about on Halloween, Oct. 31st. This explains Daniel's 1290 days. And Daniel's 1335 days will land on Hannuka, the day to rededicate the temple.

***The 1290 and 1335 days start with the abomination of desolation Mid-Trib.

***The gog/magog war of Ezekiel 38,39 which should start the 7 year tribulation, will be claimed to be Armageddon.

****Read Eze. 38:18-20. This war is at the end of the 2300-day Tribulation. It is when the world-wide earthquake brings down every wall. The cities of the nations are destroyed (Rev. 16:19).

I'm speculating that IF the post tribulationists really want to go through the tribulation, Christ may let them. After all, one may be able to disobey when the trumpet call goes out to "Come up here!")

***Heb. 12:25 says, "See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven."

Satan receives power just as God's wrath is being poured out in full, the last half of the 3.5 years of tribulation

***God's wrath is not poured out until the 7 trumpet judgments on the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord, which I think is the 2300th day of the Tribulation.

two more reasons to suspect that the 4th trumpet is the Rapture.

***Neither Rapture is at the 4th trumpet. The 1st Rapture is before the 1st seal is broken (Rev. 4:1; 6:1). The 2nd Rapture is between the breaking of the 6th and 7th seals (Rev. 6:12; 7:14; 8:1). All 7 trumpet judgments come out of the 7th seal.

The seventh trumpet has nothing to do with the rapture, but rather, the judgment at the end of the millinnium, the "seventh millinnium".

***The 7th trumpet is on the first day of the Millennium. However, the Pre-Wrath Rapture is before the 1st trumpet sounds (Rev. 7:14; 8:1).

If the translation took place at the same time as the second coming, there would be no need to separating the sheep from the goats at the subsequent judgment. The act of the translation would be the separation.

***Good point.

Read Ezekiel 38, 39. Also known as the gog/magog war. This should happen right after the rapture, and the "seven years" is the length of the tribulation.

***I think this war is on the 2300th day of the Tribulation, which is the 1st day of the millennial Day of the Lord. It is the Day of God's Wrath, when there is a worldwide earthquake and when every wall will fall (Eze. 38:18-20). The 7 years of burning the weapons is the 1st 7 years of the Millennium, when the burned trees need time to regrow. Agape

I hope you have figured out by now that the Jehovah's Witnesses are wrong about Christ. They think he is Michael the archangel. That is so far from the truth, it is hard to see how they could even think that for one minute.

Micah 5:2 is a prophecy referring to Jesus Christ to be born in Bethlehem. It says, "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, FROM EVERLASTING." The Pre-incarnate Christ was there in the beginning. Jn. 1:3 says, "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." He is the creator, and he is God. Mal. 2:10 says, "Have we not all one father? hath not ONE GOD CREATED US?"

Heb. 1:1-8 shows that Christ is above every angel that exists. It says, " God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and THE EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: BEING MADE SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ANGELS, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O GOD, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom." Jesus Christ is GOD.

Jn. 5:17-21 says, "Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making HIMSELF EQUAL WITH GOD. Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. For as the Father RAISETH UP THE DEAD, and quickeneth them; even so THE SON QUICKENETH WHOM HE WILL." No angel can raise up the dead. Only God can do that.

In Gen. 18:22, one of the 3 men that visited Abraham stayed behind with Abraham when the 2 angels went to bring Lot out of Sodom. It says, "the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD (YHVH)." The 3rd one was the LORD. In verse 33, "the LORD went his way." Then Gen. 19:24 says, "Then the LORD (YHVH) rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD (YHVH) out of heaven." The LORD was on Earth, then he went to Heaven and rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah. That is quite a feat. Since Jn. 1:18 says, "No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him," we know that the YHVH that Abraham talked with was God the Son.

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory" (I Tim. 3:16).

Do you believe Jesus was both man and God? That is what is important. It is what your eternal destiny rides on. In Mt. 22:42, Jesus asked the all important question. He said, "What think ye of Christ? whose son is he?" How do you answer this? Agape

Pokemon virus contained
Bad Pikachu, bad

By BBC News Online internet reporter Mark Ward
There is one Pokemon phenomenon that isn't proving popular and doesn't seem to be catching on.

An email-based computer virus, that plays on the popularity of Pokemon, has been found infecting machines in the US.

Anti-virus companies say it is the first virus aimed at children and it tries to exploit the fact that they tend to be less careful about security than their parents.

Experts say that so far the virus has done little damage.

Like many other malicious programs, the Pokemon virus travels in an email message with the subject line: "Pikachu Pokemon".

The message itself reads: "Great Friend! Pikachu from Pokemon Theme have some friendly words to say. Visit Pikachu at http://www.pikachu.com. See you."

Bouncing Pikachu

Travelling with the message is an attachment that, when clicked, launches animation of a bouncing Pikachu - the yellow mouse-like Pokemon that fights with electricity.

But at the same time that the Pikachu is bouncing around the screen the program is also making changes to a key configuration file on the PC.

The change means that the next time the machine is switched on all the files in the Windows and Windows/System directories are destroyed.

The virus seems to have done little damage because users get a warning when it tries to delete important files and asks them to approve the action.

Re: United States
Quick question: (as I know you must like that kind) I don't see any scripture that points to the United States? How does the US participate in the end times? Thanks Maralyn! Still Looking Up!

My reply

I don't necessarily need to have questions that I can answer quickly, as I like to go into things thoroughly. What else would I do with my day? :-) I just can't bring myself to go point by point through someone's lengthy statement of jillions of things they believe when they don't give one scripture to back up anything.

Lots of people think the USA is Babylon. I don't. King of the west probably includes US, but that is pretty general. There is one verse that I think probably does specifically refer to the US. II Sam. 7:23 says, "And what ONE (echad, UNITED) NATION in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations (i.e., modern Israel) and their gods?"

I Chron. 17:21 says: "And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?"

We are a UNITED NATION. The early settlers of this country came here from Europe for religious freedom. They wanted to be allowed to worship God in the way in which they saw fit. Our money still says, In God we trust. We are still doing for Israel "great things and terrible." I take the terrible to be encouraging Israel to give up land for peace. She should trust the Lord to give her the land and not give any of it up. Their mistake is that they are trusting in their own might instead of in God's might. Nationally, they are failing that test.

All nations (united nations, including this united nation) will be judged for this. Joel 3:2 says, "I will also gather ALL NATIONS, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and PARTED MY LAND."

The people who are against Israel having Jerusalem as their capital and for splitting it up have a rude awakening coming. They are toying with fire and don't know it. They think God won't do anything. They will find out in a horrible way. Jer. 30:6 says, "Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?" What is coming is the terror of terrors. Men's hearts will fail them for fear. Civilization as we know it will be destroyed. Every wall will fall (Eze. 38:20). The cities of the nations will fall.

Rev. 16:18-21 says, "And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent (100 pounds): and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great." Re: THANKS
You do have a tough job. But, you must love it. I enjoy the info you put out. hope things work out the way you say the bible says it will. We must be really close to the end of this age any way we look at it ---this world is a smorgasbord of conflicting ideas, stupidity, and natural disasters, something has to give.

My reply

Oh yes, I love it. This end of the age is both an exciting and a terrible time to live. The world is going to pot around us, but we can have inner peace in the midst of chaos. We know that what is taking place fits the prophecies. The Lord is bringing all to pass. We are supposed to comfort each other with the blessed hope of the Rapture. I fail to understand the mentality of those that deny that there is a Rapture. What comfort is there for them? Some of them even seem bitter and cannot say one comforting word. Some act like they want to cram their beliefs down our throats, as if acid words about our being deceived would sell anything. Jesus wouldn't act that way. Neither should we.

Not only does I Thess. 4:18 say to "COMFORT one another with these words" about the Rapture, I Thess. 5:11 says, "COMFORT yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do." We are obeying what the Lord wants us to do. He didn't leave any instructions that we should hoard food for the Tribulation, either.

In the last book of the Bible, Jesus said, "the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be" (Rev. 22:10-12). There will come a time when we will have done all we can do. Jesus probably has made his decision of who the chosen are by that time. Until then, we must do what we can to help some come to Christ and others get ready for the Rapture.

Even Mk. 10:49 depicts the proper order, comfort 1st, Rapture 2nd. It says, "And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good COMFORT, RISE; HE CALLETH THEE."

Rom. 15:4 says, "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through PATIENCE and COMFORT of the scriptures might have HOPE." We cannot allow any man to take away our "crown" (Rev. 3:11) or our "blessed hope" (Titus 2:13). Agape
