A fireball was seen in Israel on Sept. 13, 2000, probably the first day of the 7 bad years. The Oslo Accords were signed Sept. 13, 1993. Add 7 good years = Sept. 13, 2000. Add 7 bad years = Sept. 13, 2007, when I expect the Day of God's Wrath.

...I went back to Israel just in time for the outbreak of orchestrated "Intifada". On September 13, 2000 (the original deadline for the declaration of a Palestinian state) I found myself visiting Maaleh Amos, one of the most exposed Jewish settlements in the occupied territories...That evening, I saw a green and pink fireball streaking West to East across the sky.
The amazing thing about this, for me, was that the previous week, I had been in Safed, where I had also witnessed an evening fireball going West to East. As a soldier and later a prospector, I have spent a lot of time in the wilderness away from urban lights, I have purposely stayed up to watch meteor showers, and I have seen a lot of shooting stars, but only once in my life (in 1969) had I seen a meteor big enough to cause a fireball. Seeing two fireballs in less than 2 weeks, was quite a coincidence. I subsequently returned to Canada, on October 31. In November, while riding to work in the vicinity of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, (in the pre-dawn darkness) I witnessed another fireball travelling South to North....
First: Have you considered this concept before? I just can't see a generation being 51 + years. Like you, 40 years seems a more logical view of a generation. I personally view the signs of the times coupled with your own similar view as to when we should be expecting the pre-trib rapture and/or beginning of the tribulation (1967 + 40 = 2007). The signs of the time are all here now. The current world events bear close witness to II Thessalonians 2-3 being at hand....
may God keep you and Ed strong until the time is at hand. It will give me great pleasure in meeting you and Ed there in our "glorified" and "complete" bodies...until then, the just shall live by faith. Amen.'
When the Israelites came out of Egypt, they wandered 40 years while one generation died off. Nu. 14:34 says, "After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise." Nu. 32:13 says, "the LORD's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the GENERATION, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed. Psa. 95:10 says, "Forty years long was I grieved with THIS GENERATION, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways."
The number 40 means testing and probation. De. 8:2 says, "thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to PROVE THEE, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no." II Sam. 5:4 says, "David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years." He was on trial for 40 years. So was Saul (Acts 13:21). So was Solomon (I Ki. 11:42). Each reigned 40 years. Of these, only David earned the right to rule again. Jesus was tested 40 days. I think the 1st Adam was tested 40 years. He was given dominion, so would qualify as a king.
Micah 7:15 says, "According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt (40 years) will I shew unto him marvellous things." I think this applies to the time after the fig tree parable of Mt. 24:32-34 was fulfilled when Israel grew leaves (Sinai, Gaza Strip, Golan Heights, West Bank) in the Six-Day War of 1967. According to Daniel 12:4, "knowledge shall be increased" in the "time of the end."
Actually, now, 40 years plus 120 days seems the best fit yet, and I didn't figure this out. Someone sent this information to me... Just before the Olivet Discourse, Jesus called the Pharisees, "serpents, ye GENERATION of vipers" in Mt. 23:33. In v. 36, he told them, "Verily (amen, so be it) I say unto you, All these things shall come upon THIS GENERATION." They did, 40 years + another 120 days later. From Nisan 8 in 30 AD, when Jesus came to Bethany the day before he presented himself as King and went to the temple on Palm Sunday, to Av 10 in 70 AD, when the temple was burned, was 40 years plus another 120 days.
I Cor. 10:11 says, "Now all these things happened unto them (Israel) for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world (ages) are come." The parallel in our days: from Iyar 28, when Israel again took back the temple area on June 7, 1967, to Tishri 1, 5768 (Sept. 13, 2007) is 40 years plus another 120 days.
Tishri 1, 5768 is 2300 days (Dan. 8:13,14), figured by Jewish inclusive reckoning, from the beginning of the 70th week of Daniel on the appropriate Feast of Weeks in 2001. The last year has to be a Jewish Leap Year for there to be 7 Jewish months between Tishri 1 and the following Nisan 1 (Eze. 39:12,13), and 5768 is a leap year. That can't be slid one year sooner or one year later. Jewish leap years are not exactly, but roughly, every 3 years.
In Mk. 14:37, Jesus said, "unto Peter (a small rock), Simon (that hears), sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?" One hour of a thousand-year day would be 41.66 years. I figure that by the time this much time goes by after the Six-Day War, all the end-time prophecies will have been fulfilled.

>If believers don't watch, we won't know the hour. It doesn't mention the day, maybe because watchers will at some point along the way know the day.
++I agree that watchers can know about the Rapture. From that we can know the time of His second coming, and of the end of the millennial reign. The passing away of heaven and earth, however, remains questionable for me because at that point all who are going to be saved have been removed from the earth, and it will no longer matter when the atmospheric heaven and the earth pass away.
>I expect the renewed atmospheric heavens and the renewed earth early in the Millennium instead of at its end.
++An early renewal would be a little easier to accept if it weren't for the fact that this renewal doesn't take place until the 21st chapter of the book of Revelation. The one thousand year reign is described in chapter 20. By the time we get to chapter 21, the thousand year reign has ended, and Satan has been thrown into the lake of fire. The final resurrection takes place and death itself is defeated. Only then does John the Revelator see a new heaven and a new earth and a new Jerusalem. At that point, Jesus will say, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End."
>I think the Six-Day War was the Sign of the End of the Age. That made it possible to drop the schedule of end-time events into its proper place on our calendar. The generation born in 1967 is the last generation of this age.
++Agreed
>Jesus commanded us to watch. He scolded the Pharisees for not recognizing the signs of the times They missed the star that the wise men saw. Just about the same sky is visible in Israel. It looks like they missed it because they were not watching.
++Agreed.
>Jesus knew what technology we would have in these days. I don't see why his signs have to be visible with the naked eye or be so obvious that they cannot be missed. I would expect him to not hit the unbeliever in the face with such obvious signs that they would not fall backward and be taken.
++If the signs are not there for ALL to see, they lose their value as signs. In Jesus' day, the signs were there for everyone to see. The wise men saw and acted accordingly; the general population was living with an expectation of the soon coming of Messiah; and the hypocrites had the opportunity to see, but failed to do so. In our day, the resurrection of the state of Israel is a very obvious sign, as is the 6-day war. They are there for anyone with eyes to see. Indeed, they almost leap of the pages of history and slap us all in the face, yet there are those who refuse to see.
++I think it will probable be the same with heavenly signs. If special equipment is required to see the signs in our day, and if we must rely on computerized enhancements and on the scientific community to show us those signs, then the majority of mankind will be deprived of the opportunity to see the signs, and deprived of the opportunity to either accept or reject them simply because they don't live in the industrialized west. Indeed, many in the United States have never seen these astronomical events that we have seen for the simple reason that they just don't make front-page news. We who surf the internet sometimes tend to forget that the largest majority of mankind doesn't have access to the net and many who do are so novice at it that they couldn't find such a "sign" if they were looking for it. This don't sound to me like the kind of signs our Lord had in mind. He suggested that His coming would be visible to all, even as the lighting that flashes in the east is visible in the west (Mat 24:27). Agape.
Not to us, but it will matter to those on Earth. The atmospheric heavens and face of the Earth will be severely damaged by the asteroid impacts of Rev. 8:8,10. All Israel will be born in a day that day (Isa. 66:8). After the Second Advent 7 Jewish months (Eze. 39:12,13) later, there will be OT Israelites put back on the Earth (Dan. 12:13). David will be put back on Earth. Jer. 30:9 says, "they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them." The sheep at the Judgment of the Nations will still live on Earth too. They will all need a proper habitat during the Millennium. In Rev. 21:5, "he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new." This is after v. 3 said, "the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."
> > The one thousand year reign is described in chapter 20. By the time we get to chapter 21, the thousand year reign has ended, and Satan has been thrown into the lake of fire.
Rev. 20:6 says, "and shall reign with him a thousand years." Verse 7-15 skip to the end of the Millennium. Rev. 21 picks up again with the beginning of the 1000 years.
> > death itself is defeated. Only then does John the Revelator see a new heaven and a new earth and a new Jerusalem. At that point, Jesus will say, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End."
Don't you plan to join the Philadelphians in New Jerusalem during the Millennium? Rev. 3:11,12 says, "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is NEW JERUSALEM, which COMETH DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN from my God: and I will write upon him my new name." This ties in with Rev. 21:9,10: "Come hither, I will shew thee the BRIDE, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy JERUSALEM, DESCENDING OUT OF HEAVEN from God." In the Preview of the Rapture, Jesus says, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is (at the Rapture), and which was (at the First Advent), and which is to come (at the Second Advent), the Almighty."
> > ++If the signs are not there for ALL to see, they lose their value as signs. In Jesus' day, the signs were there for everyone to see.
Many signs were just given to Israel. In 66 AD, there were miraculous signs at the temple and in the sky above Jerusalem that were not world wide. The star that led the wise men to Bethlehem may not have been for everyone to see.
> > This don't sound to me like the kind of signs our Lord had in mind. He suggested that His coming would be visible to all, even as the lighting that flashes in the east is visible in the west (Mat 24:27).
Then you will need to wait for naked-eye signs. They should precede the Pre-Trib Rapture. Lu. 21:28 says, "when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." By the time of Mt. 24:27, it will be in the Tribulation. Agape
How did you come to this conclusion? Are you a student or just interested in this type of study? bye
I am Baptist, but denominations have nothing to do with it. Our church doesn't save us, Christ does, and no other. Acts 4:12 says, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." We are saved when we accept Jesus Christ as our own personal Saviour. Rom. 10:9,10 says, "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." At the moment of salvation, Christ baptizes us with the Spirit of Christ/the Spirit of God/the Holy Spirit.
Rom. 8:8-11 says, "they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."
I have studied the Bible as hard and as deep as I can go for 40 years. I have read every word in at least 16 versions of the Bible, and most of several others. Among those I read all of are the Confraternity-Douay, the New American Bible, the Berkeley Version and the New Jerusalem Bible. I quoted the above from the King James Version because I have it on my computer, but here is Rom. 10:9,10 from the Confraternity: "If thou confess with thy mouth that Jesus is the Lord, and believe in thy heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart a man believes unto justice, and with the mouth profession of faith is made unto salvation."
Concerning the Rapture, when Christ comes to catch up the Bride of Christ to take them to his Father's house in Heaven, here is I Thess. 4:13-18 in the Confraternity. "But we would not, brethren (believers), have you ignorant concerning those who are asleep (have died believing in Jesus), lest you should grieve, even as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so with him God will bring those also who have fallen asleep through Jesus. For this we say to you in the word of the Lord, that we who live, who survive until the COMING OF THE LORD (the Rapture) shall not precede those who have fallen asleep (the dead in Christ). For the Lord himself with cry of command, with voice of archangel, and with trumpet of God will DESCEND FROM HEAVEN; and the dead in Christ will rise up first. THEN WE WHO LIVE, WHO SURVIVE, SHALL BE CAUGHT UP (Greek, harpazo) TOGETHER WITH THEM IN CLOUDS TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR, and so we shall ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
The Greek word "harpazo" was translated in my Catholic Latin Bible as "rapiemir." Brought over into English, that is Rapture. At the Rapture, believers who are chosen to be in the Bride group will rise to meet Christ in the air and be taken to Heaven. We will be kept from the 7-year Tribulation, the worst 7 years since Adam was created. In Apocalypse 3:10,11 (Conf), Jesus says, "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I too will keep thee FROM the hour of trial (the 7-year Tribulation), which is about to come upon the whole world to try those who dwell upon the Earth. I come quickly; hold fast what thou hast, that no one receive thy crown."
We must be worthy to be chosen as part of the Bride group. In Lu. 21:36 (Conf), Jesus says, "Watch, then, praying at all times that you may be ACCOUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE all these things that are to be, and to stand before the Son of Man." The Rapture is the ESCAPE.
When we first accept Christ as our own personal Saviour, all our old sins are wiped off the books. We are counted as pure virgins that will go with Christ, the Bridegroom, when he comes. In Matthew 25:10 (Conf), Jesus explained, "the bridegroom came; and those who were READY went in with him to the marriage feast, and the DOOR WAS SHUT." Those that are ready are those that are accounted worthy to escape in the Rapture.
When we sin after accepting Christ, we can become foolish virgins who can get left behind and must confess those sins directly to God to be counted as worthy. I John 1:9 (Conf) says, "If we acknowledge our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity." Then we are wise virgins ready to go with our Bridegroom when he comes for his Bride.
Jesus set the OPEN DOOR before the Philadelphian believers for whom he had no words of condemnation. In Apocalypse 3:8 (Conf), Jesus says, "Behold, I have caused a DOOR TO BE OPENED BEFORE THEE which no one can shut, for thou hast scanty strength, and thou hast kept my word and hast not disowned my name." This is the door of Heaven that the worthy ones will enter at the Rapture.
At the Rapture, this door will open, Christ will say, "COME UP HITHER" (Apocalypse 4:1), and we will be caught up together with him in the clouds and be taken to Heaven. After the Rapture, this group is seen in Heaven. In Apocalypse 5:9 (Conf), these saints sing that Christ is worthy and "hast redeemed us for God with thy blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and has made them for our God a kingdom and priests, and they shall reign over the earth" (during the millennial Day of the Lord, when Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords following the Second Advent).
The Rapture is drawing very near. In Mt. 24:32-24 (Conf), Jesus gave us a way to figure out when it is near. He said, "Now from the fig tree (Israel, Joel 1:6,7) learn this parable. When its branch (klados, scion broken off for grafting, i.e., modern Israel grafted into her old roots) is now tender (apalos, young, i.e., no more than 19 years old), and the leaves break forth (Israel grew the Gaza Strip, Sinai, Golan Heights and West Bank in the Six-Day War of 1967 when she was 19 years old), you know that summer is near (the war started June 5, summer started June 21). Even so, when you see all these things, know that it (the Rapture) is NEAR, even at the DOOR. Amen I say to you, this generation (born in 1967) will not pass away till all these things have been accomplished."
1967 + a 40-year generation is 2007. Subtract the 7-year Tribulation, because the Rapture precedes it, and you get 2000. The latter half of the Tribulation is to be shortened, therefore the Tribulation only lasts 2300 days (Dan. 8:13,14). We know that the millennial Day of the Lord will start on the Feast of Trumpets (Mal. 2:3; Joel 1:15; 2:1-3). The Feast of Trumpets in 2007 is on Sept. 13. It is Tishri 1, 5768 on the Jewish Calendar. Counting backward the 2300 days, we find that the 70th week of Daniel 9:27 that we call the Tribulation starts on the Feast of Weeks/Pentecost, Sivan 6, 5761 (May 28, 2001). The Rapture should take place between now and Pentecost. We seem to be on the final countdown.
I Cor. 10:11 (Conf) says, "Now all these things happened to them (Israel) as a TYPE, and they were written for our correction, upon whom the FINAL AGE OF THE WORLD HAS COME." From the time that Jesus arrived in Bethany on Nisan 8 in 30 AD before presenting himself as King and riding the donkey to the temple on Palm Sunday to Av 10 in 70 AD, when the temple was burned, was 40 years plus another 120 days. When talking to the Pharisees, Jesus had told them that all those things would fall on that generation (Mt. 22:36). They did, in 70 AD. We can be sure that a generation then was 40 years plus another 120 days.
Applying the type to our days, from June 7, 1967, when Israel again took the temple area, to Tishri 1, 5768 (Sept. 13, 2007), when I think Christ will be crowned King of kings and Lord of lords, will be 40 years plus another 120 days. God's timing is exact.
Our window of opportunity to be caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture is now narrow. It is imperative that we get ready right away. If you have more questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Agape
CNN notes that: "The moon "turning to blood" was once seen as a sign that disaster would strike or that the gods were angry." Indeed! CNN may be more accurate than they think for it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of an angry God.
---
Thought you would find this very interesting! Also the moon did turn red this summer here in the states. Another sign for those who are watching. God's word cannot lie. I hope people will see the errors of their ways and repent! Thanks again for your site and all the endless hours that you have put into it! It has been a blessing to me. I tell others of your site and warn them as Christians that we should prepare our selves and be ready so as not to be foolish virgins. I pray that my savior will find me worthy. Hope that you are well! In Christ. God Bless!
Jesus said that when we saw signs in the Sun, Moon and Constellations, "your redemption draweth nigh." We seem to be on the home stretch; no wonder we had blood moons.
...Mt. 24:35,36 says, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." It just hit me that since we know that the heavens and a portion of the Earth will be burned up when the asteroids impact Earth on Tishri 1, we now know not only the DAY but the HOUR. The asteroids are to impact Earth at noon. That in itself is sort of a sign....
Zeph. 2:2-5 says, "Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S ANGER come upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid (the Pre-Wrath Rapture) in the day of the LORD's anger (Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets, Mal. 2:3; Joel 1:15; 2:1-3). For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the NOON day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast." Zech. 9:5 says, "Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited." The asteroid of Rev. 8:8 will impact the Mediterranean Sea at noon on Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets that begins the millennial Day of the Lord.
Job 20:23 says, "When he (the wicked one, i.e., the False Prophet) is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating." Amos 8:9 says, "it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at NOON, and I will darken the earth in the clear day." Psa. 91:6 says, "the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at NOONDAY."
In Mt. 5:18, Jesus said, "verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all BE FULFILLED." Mk. 13:30-33 says, "Verily I say unto you, that THIS GENERATION shall not pass, till all these things BE DONE. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is." Lu. 21:32-36 says, "THIS GENERATION shall not pass away, till all BE FULFILLED. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE (in the Pre-Trib Rapture) all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
Dan. 9:24 says, "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to FINISH the transgression, and to make AN END of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and TO SEAL UP THE VISION AND PROPHECY, and to anoint the most Holy." Looks like Tishri 1, 5768 (Sept. 13, 2007) is when all the wicked are hit with the catastrophe and Christ is anointed in Heaven on the first day of his Kingdom. That is one generation from when Israel retook the temple mount in 1967. Agape
