Heavy spring rains bring havoc, By David RudgeIn Sur Bahir in east Jerusalem, a house collapsed under the weight of water which accumulated on the roof because of blocked gutters....no reported casualties.
Meteorological experts noted that in spring, heat waves are often followed by rain. However, one expert told Israel Radio that the unusual weather conditions were "a once-in-a-century phenomenon," and Channel 2 said it had not rained as heavily in May since 1986....(emphasis mine)
The Nahal Arugot bridge near Ein Gedi collapsed, effectively cutting off residents of the area....
In Jerusalem, more than 20 traffic lights were knocked out and there was severe flooding in many places after 71 mm. of rain fell in five hours....
The rain was too little and too late to help alleviate the water crisis. Only 16 mm. fell in the catchment area of Lake Kinneret.
Some of the heaviest rain fell in Jerusalem and the Western Galilee, with nearly 80 mm. in both places....
The rain helped raise the seasonal average in the Jerusalem area to nearly 90 percent, to 100 percent in the Tel Aviv and Beersheba regions, but only 70 percent in the Galilee.
Water experts stressed that the public should not be misled by the rain and understand that the nation's natural water resources are so severely depleted that there is a risk of disruptions to drinking-water supplies unless drastic cutbacks are implemented in the urban sector
Israel's Early Warning System
Last night it rained and thundered. This may not seem incredible but it is incredible in Israel. The Land of Israel has a very predictable climate. It stops raining at the end of March, in April there are a few drizzles, and then there is no rain until the following autumn. Occasionally it drizzles on the coast, but in the mountains of Judah it is as dry as a desert. Literally! But last night it rained hard and thundered even harder. When I woke up this morning my outdoor balcony had become an ankle deep pool of water, the drainage system having clogged up with leaves. As I unclogged the drain and saw how much water poured out, I began to think about the prophecy of Samuel:
"Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which YHWH will do before your eyes. Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto YHWH, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great" (1Sam 12:6-7).
Today we are also in the height of the wheat harvest and YHWH has sent a powerful rainstorm along with violent thunder and lightening. The significance of this portent in the time of Samuel was not only that it never rains this time of year but that the wheat crops would be ruined by the heavy rain or burnt by the lightening. Well today the loss of the wheat crops will not devastate the country as it did in the time of Samuel. But the event is no less unusual today than it was back then. On the nightly news the weathermen were scrambling to come up with a sandstorm in the Sahara desert or some other incredible event that explains such a major storm this late in Spring. Well the weathermen may be right. Perhaps the immediate cause was a sandstorm. But we know that when God performs miracles he often does so through forces of nature. When he sent the locusts upon Egypt he summoned an east wind to transport them there. All I know is that Samuel was right. Heavy rain and thunder in Israel at this time of year is a very unusual event. And perhaps as in the days of Samuel YHWH sent this portent: "that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great"
In the time of Samuel the people hearkened and calamity was avoided. With or without the portent it is high time that the People of Israel repent before it is too late and the next calamity comes upon us.
"Oh house of Jacob, come let us walk in the light of YHWH!" (Isa 2:5)...

I Cor. 10:11 says, "Now all these things happened unto them (Israel) for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world (lit., ages) are come."
It seems that applying the 40 years plus another 120 days to our days points out the 2300th day of the Tribulation. This period is counted from June 7, 1967, when the Jews regained the temple area lost in 70 AD. June 7, 1967 + 40 yrs + 120 days = Sept. 13, 2007 (Tishri 1, 5768, the Feast of Trumpets.)
We end up with mirror images.
A. CHRIST REFUSED AS KING on Earth +40 yrs +120 days = Av 10 in 70 AD
- B. TEMPLE AREA LOST - Holy Roman Empire won
- B. TEMPLE AREA REGAINED +40 yrs +120 days = Tishri 1, 5768, Trumpets
A. CHRIST CROWNED KING in Heaven - Ecclesiastic Holy Roman Empire loses
Another reason I don't think Av 10 is the Rapture is that the temple fell. We will rise. There was fire and war. The Rapture is as the days of Noah - no fire, no war. Av 10 is in Summer. I think Isa. 18:3-5 and Song of Sol. 2:10-14 show that the Rapture will be at the time of firstripe grapes in the spring. Also, I think Heb. 12:23's "general assembly" means festal assembly (Thayer). Therefore, I expect the Rapture on a feast day.
Isa. 18:4 says, "the LORD said unto me, I WILL TAKE MY REST, and I will consider (nabat, see, look at) in my dwelling place (Heaven) like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest." This year is a Sabbatic Year, a year of REST.
James 5:7 says, "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain." The former rain starts on Tishri 1. The latter rain starts on Nisan 1. Pentecost is the only feast that is not in Tishri or Nisan.
Song of Sol. 2:10-14 says, "My beloved spake, and said unto me, RISE UP, my love, my fair one, and COME AWAY. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come (saints sing the new song, Rev. 5:9), and the voice of the turtle (lit., turtledove; they are there April to October) is heard in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely." The words "of birds" and "places" are not in the original. This is the SECRET OF THE STAIRS. Like Jacob's ladder, it reaches from Earth to Heaven. Agape
I think the 3 heavens are (1) Mars, (2) Jupiter and (3) Saturn. I also think Saturn is the place of Christ's throne. Eze. 1:26-28 says, "above the firmament that was over their (the 4 terrestrial planet's) heads was the likeness of a THRONE, as the appearance of a SAPPHIRE (meaning dear to the planet Saturn, fr. Sanskrit Sani, Saturn, and priya, dear) stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man (Christ) above upon it. And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins (from the equator) even upward, and from the appearance of his loins (from the equator) even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about. As the appearance of the bow (Saturns rings) that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about." Agape

It is great, and free. It will give you any verse in the KJV and do searches for a certain word or phrase. It works fast on my computer. You can call it up in any program, search for verses, copy and paste into your document, then click on your document and it will hide. I have a red Bible shortcut to it in the toolbar at the bottom of my screen.
I just bought a CD called Bible Library for $10 from Wal Mart that an e-mail friend told me about. I have put the blue cross shortcut to it on my toolbar too. It has Strong's Hebrew Dictionary and Strong's Greek Dictionary. It also has Morris' Literal Translation available with Strong's numbers inserted in brackets, so you can look up that number in the dictionaries. It is a lot cheaper than buying the huge hardbound Strong's Concordance. It has KJV and American Standard Bibles on it, 3 commentaries: Easton's Book Synopsis, Henry's Commentary on Whole Bible, Morris' Introduction to Bible Books, 6 cross references and concordances I haven't yet had time to explore, Easton's Bible Dictionary, Edersheim's Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah, etc. Seems like a lot for your money. It has maps I haven't seen yet too. So far, I have only used the Strong's Dictionaries. I like having the literal translation on my screen and being able to open Strong's Dictionaries in a 2nd smaller window on the right side. Hope this helps. Agape
Oh, I also wanted to share a dream my 5 year old son, Chase, had last week. He said God came here to get us and take us to heaven. He said "we got there really fast" and explained we all received crowns. Also there was a cross on the crowns. He said the best part of the dream was that Jesus gave us all a hug and told us he loved us. I found it amazing, that Chase would have such a detailed dream. God is awesome. Agape.
Since God created and set the heavenly bodies in motion, it would not surprise me one bit to find out that he planned this "resurrection" on Easter too. Gen. 1:14 says, "God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for SIGNS, and for seasons, and for days, and years."
Venus is one heavenly body that really commands our attention, a bright spotlight in the sky. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" (John 8:12). Light and Easter go together, and Venus was a "resurrected" light. The Lord's attention to detail is way beyond remarkable. As I've said before, he doesn't miss a trick. He probably has shown us more signs than we know how to read.
I haven't heard from the Rabbi yet. Ed asks every day.
That was really a remarkable dream for a child to have. Thanks for sharing it with me. I haven't had one like that, although I have dreamed of seeing two people I knew in Heaven. Ed's grandmother was in a kitchen cooking with children all around her. She loved children. In another one a boy that accepted Christ because of me ran up to Ed and I and hugged me. In another dream Ed and I were in the same building we were walking to in the first dream. There were lots of long tables with while tablecloths and long benches. We were eating a meal. I turned around to look for salt and saw the same boy on the other side of the aisle and back a couple of rows. Agape
With this last dream, I have become obsessed with finding knowledge of the Book of Revelations. I understand the Prophets of old would not have known what they were seeing in their visions. (A vehicle could have been a beast, a plane could have been a bird) I need to hear or know a more up-dated translation of Revelations....
The time and date that has been told to me in several dreams is The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month 2001 -- All ones after His 2000 year wait. He is the ONE....
I come from a Baptist religious background as a child; But, in adulthood I've been searching.
I would appreciate if you could...send me any information you can give me. I'm far from rich, but I feel I need to visit Jeruselum. One day I may do just that. Thank you for your time.
We can explain what we think it might mean, or put our interpretations within inserted brackets, but we can't change Scripture's words. I have written a book, Revelations 2000, available from B. Dalton bookstores. In it, I explain what I think Revelation means.
To help get you get oriented, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" is the Pre-Trib Rapture, when we will see Christ revealed in all his glory. The book is like a script for a miracle play. Jesus is the author and director. He cast himself and John as actors. Supporting cast are angels. John is the scribe and narrator when Jesus is not speaking. The setting is when the Rapture is at hand.
The Rapture is "at hand" in both the first and last chapters (1:3; 22:10). Jesus signs off with "Surely I come quickly." He comes quickly at the Rapture. In Rev. 3:11, he says, "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." Jesus stands on that pinnacle when the Rapture is "at hand," maybe on Ascension Day 10 days before the Rapture (2:10), and looks both backward and forward through time. The Pre-Trib Rapture is in Rev. 4:1. There he starts telling us what comes "hereafter" the Rapture. First, we see what happens in Heaven right after the Rapture. Then, in Rev. 6, the Tribulation begins with the breaking of the 1st seal on the Title Deed of the Earth.
Like our movie directors, Jesus started the script with a Preview of coming attractions, mainly of the Rapture. For a view of Christ as we might see him when we get to Heaven, read Rev. 1:13-17.
Let's look at a couple of Old Testament scriptures before we go with Revelation. De. 6:4 says, "Hear, O Israel: The LORD (YHVH) our God (Elohim, plural) is one (echad, united) LORD (YHVH)."
Isa. 44:6 explains this further. It says, "Thus saith the LORD (YHVH) the King of Israel, AND his redeemer the LORD (YHVH) of hosts; I am the first (YHVH the King of Israel), AND I am the last (YHVH the Redeemer, the YHVH of hosts); and beside me there is no God."
In the first chapter of Revelation, Jesus explains who he is three times. In v. 8, he says, "I am Alpha AND Omega, the beginning AND the ending, saith the Lord, which is (at the time of the Rapture), and which was (at the First Advent), and which is to come (at the Second Advent, THE ALMIGHTY." In the Preview, John acted out the Rapture. In 1:9-11, he said, "I was (lit., became) in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha AND Omega, the first (YHVH king of Israel) AND the last (YHVH of hosts)." That is the second time he tells us who he is in Rev. 1.
Swept up to Heaven, John turned to see who was talking. He saw Christ surrounded by the 7 churches. The 7 star performers are still in his hand, for he has just caught them up. John fell at his feet as dead. Christ laid his hand on him and said, "Fear not; I am the first AND the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. This is the third time he tells us who he is in Rev. 1.
This agrees with Isa. 9:6: "unto us a child is born (inheriting his human nature from his mother), unto us a son is given (inheriting his deity from his Father): and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER."
In the last chapter of the Bible, Jesus explains this again just in case we missed it before. In Rev. 22:15,16, he said, "I am Alpha AND Omega, the beginning AND the end, the first AND the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root (YHVH) AND the offspring of David (Jesus), and the bright AND morning star." His throne is on the bright and morning star. In Rev. 2:28, he tells the overcomers of the church of Thyatira, "I will give him the morning star" (Heaven). When the Rapture is "at hand," the planet that is Heaven will be a morning star, as it is now.
The whole Revelation is bookended, first and last chapters, with these important statements that identify Jesus Christ. He wants us to understand who he really is. II Cor. 5:19 explains, "GOD WAS IN CHRIST, RECONCILING THE WORLD UNTO HIMSELF."
After explaining who he is the third time, Jesus told John to "Write the things which thou hast seen (before the Rapture), and the things which are (at the time of the Rapture), and the things which shall be hereafter "("hereafter" the Rapture, i.e., the Tribulation, Rev. 4:1).
After the Preview of the Pre-Trib Rapture, Jesus gives his monologue, his messages to the 7 church groups, as they appear to him when the Rapture is "at hand." He presents himself to each in a way that they should know that he is speaking. To Ephesus, he is "he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks." He warns them to "repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly (at the Rapture), and will remove thy candlestick (church, 1:20) out of his place (Heaven), except ye repent" (2:1,5).
We must use I John 1:9 and confess sins committed after we accepted Christ. At the Rapture, the wise virgins will go with the Bridegroom, and the foolish, unrepentant virgins will be cut off. They will have to wait until the Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Tribulation saints.
Speaking of the first Rapture, Luke 12:46 tells us, "The lord of that servant (the foolish one) will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off), and will appoint him his portion with the UNBELIEVERS." Mt. 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites (pretenders): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
This ties in with the parable of the marriage feast Jesus told in Mt. 22. The man without a white wedding garment was cast outside the door (a symbol of the Rapture, Rev. 3:8). There too, there will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen." We must be chosen. Those "that are with him (right after the Rapture) are called, and chosen, and faithful" (Rev. 17:14).
See how one part of the Bible explains another? All the facts of one subject are not in one account. We need to put like things together to see the whole picture. It is like working a jigsaw puzzle. That is so the unbelievers will not be able to understand it. I think that is why we have 4 gospels. No one of them has all the details of events. Put them together, and you see more of the picture.
Isa. 28:9-13 explains: "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; HERE A LITTLE, AND THERE A LITTLE: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken."
> > I need to visit Jeruselum. One day I may do just that
Would Pentecost in New Jerusalem (Rev. 3:12) satisfy you? The Rapture just might be coming up May 28, 2001. We will soon know.
Isa. 28:12 says, "This is the REST wherewith ye may cause the weary to REST; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear." They were to rest in Sabbatic years. This year, 5761, is a Jewish Sabbatic Year.
Now let's look at the message in Isa. 18:3-6: "All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign (flag, probably One World Government) on the mountains (nations, Rev. 17:15); and when HE bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my REST (maybe a Sabbatic Year), and I will consider (nabat, see, look at) in my dwelling place (Heaven) like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest (Pentecost is a harvest feast). For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower (the time of firstripe grapes, as when the spies went into the promised land, Nu. 13:20), he shall both cut off the sprigs (with no fruit) with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches (bare twigs). They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall SUMMER (i.e., the Rapture seems to be a spring event) upon them, and all the beasts of the earth(Rev. 13) shall winter upon them."
Psa. 149:5-9 ties in. It says, "Let the saints be joyful in glory (Heaven): let them sing (they sing a new song right after the Rapture, Rev. 5:9) aloud upon their beds (place to rest). Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD."
See how following a word or phrase through the Bible is productive? We keep adding pieces of the puzzle, working the puzzle, learning as God planned, line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little.
Eagles are Tribulation saints. Their Rapture is the Pre-Wrath Rapture. Isa. 40:31 says, "they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; THEY SHALL MOUNT UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Thus we can understand Mt. 24:28: "For wheresoever the carcase (body, i.e., Body of Christ) is (in Heaven), there will the EAGLES (Tribulation saints) be gathered together."
I think the "two wings of a great eagle" of Rev. 12:14 represent an airplane. Those that know their Bibles should flee Judea Mid-Trib (Mt. 24:15,16). Zech. 5:9 says, "Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven." These wings probably represent airplanes too. They will move Vatican City to Babylon. V. 11 says, "To build it an house in the land of Shinar (Babylon, where the Tower of Babel was, Gen. 11:2): and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base" (the Tower of Babel).
During the Tribulation, I think the 2 beasts of Rev. 13 will reign over not only the One World Gov't, but over United Religions, all religions of the world--speaking babel.
I hope you can get into Revelation soon. It is an outline of end-time Bible prophecy, into which the Old Testament prophecies can be fitted to get the chronology straight. There are some parenthetic sections, especially between the 6th and 7th seals, the 6th and 7th trumpets, and between the 6th and 7th vials. There will be match marks to show us where they fit. We just have to look for them. Agape
