My brother in law has predicted Jesus return in 1998 and when It didnt happened, I went back to my normal life, building up my career, saving up for my future retirement. It was a shock to me again when my brother in law reminded me of His soon return.I begin to read scriptures again and also surfed the Net to see what others have to say,
Your site seems to be more scriptural and I begin to see some of my puzzles I have been having solved on your sharing such as the ten virgins and "gnashing of teeth" whether it refers to christians or non christians.
However, I am still very uncertain whether I will be caught up with the Lord because I do not feel worthy to escape. I have been a christian for over 29 years and yet not much of fruitfulness in my life and not much love for the Lord. I have nothing to bring to Him. It is a torment to me that He is coming and I have nothing to give Him. If I have understood what Paul said about winning the prize, my life will be different.Anyway it is too late to regret and Marilyn, I dread His return as I am ashamed and I do not have peace because I was found not worthy to escape. I really need wisdom from above to live my life. In Him
If we confess known sins since accepting Christ as our own personal Saviour, those sins will be brought under the blood of Christ. God will cleanse us of all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). At that point, we are wise virgins wearing white robes and must let bygones be bygones. No amount of worrying will reroll past events. What we can change is the future. We can turn around and do right from this instant on. Although none is worthy, our feelings of unworthyness should make us love the Lord more because his is forgiving us more. In Luke 7:47,48, Jesus said of Mary Magdalene, "Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven."
> > If I have understood what Paul said about winning the prize, my life will be different.
So be it. That's what "amen" means. It sounds as if you understand correctly. I think Paul made it plain that we are running a race to win an uncorruptible crown, to be awarded to those that are caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture. I Cor. 9:24-27 says, "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." We certainly do not want to be castaways. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth for castaways.
If I understand it right, for castaways, Salvation will not be lost, but the chance to be chosen as one of the Bride group may be sacrificed. Only one group, the 144,000 Israelites, seem to be added to the Bride group during the Tribulation (Rev. 14:4,5). Still, those invited to the Wedding Supper of the Lamb are "Blessed" (Rev. 19:9). It will be better to be a doorman in Heaven than to be a leader in Hell. Agape
> > the lukewarm Christian has enough of Jesus to satisfy a craving for religion, but not enough for eternal life.
I think the ekklesia, called out ones, of Laodicea are saved believers. They are just not "accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man" (Luke 21:36) at the first trump of God (I Thess. 4:16,17), the Pre-Trib Rapture. How can they be in the stomach of the Body of Christ and be emesai, vomited, out unless they are in Christ in the first place? It seems that these believers are just not assimilated into the rest of the body. Otherwise, how could they be vomited out? I also think they will be caught up to Heaven in the Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Tribulation saints.
> > What John saw at the throne. John does not describe a distinct figure; instead, he describes emanations of glistening light in two colors: white (jasper may mean "diamond") and red (sardius). Perhaps these two colors are meant to communicate the glory of the empty tomb (white, Matthew 28:1-3) and the sacrificial love of Calvary (red, indicating blood); or, perhaps they should be linked with the first and last gems in the high priest's breastplate (Exodus 39:8-13).
> > The throne is surrounded by a green-hued rainbow; the rainbow is a reminder (in the midst of such supreme sovereignty!) of God's commitment to His covenant with man
The writer had the right idea about the breastplate. Just as these are the first and last gems in the breastplate, Jesus is the "first" (LORD of the Old Testament) and the "last" (Lord of the New Testament) (Isa. 44:6; Rev. 1:8,17; 22:13,16). The emerald is the stone of Judah, as Jesus is of the tribe of Judah. It is also interesting to note that the emerald is the birthstone listed for May. I think this May 28, 2001 (Pentecost) has a good chance of being the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture.
> > Seiss gives the theory that the tribes of Israel were divided into four groups, each gathering under a banner of either a lion (Judah on the east), an ox (Ephraim on the south), a man (Reuben on the south), and an eagle (Dan on the north). Numbers 2:3, 10, 18, 25 mentions this organization of the tribes under these four heads, but does not assign "mascots" to tribal banners. Seiss does not mention his specific source for this, citing only "Jewish writers". These four cherubim are often taken as symbols of Jesus as represented in each gospel; in classical church architecture, these four "characters" are repeated often as a motif that signifies both heaven and the four gospels.
Seiss is not the only one that knew what faces were on the flags put at the four cardinal directions when the Israelites camped in the wilderness. Clarence Larkin knew. Dan = eagle = north. Reuben = man = south. Judah = lion = east. Ephraim = ox = west.
> > Perhaps it is safest to say that the four faces are important because they present all of animate creation, in its utmost excellence - the lion is the mightiest of wild animals, the ox strongest of domesticated animals, the eagle king of all birds, and man is highest of all creation. As well, it is significant to see that the Bible associates a face with the idea of person (1 Chronicles 12:8; 2 Chronicles 29:6; Isaiah 3:15, 13:8); here we have singular beings with four faces. Apparently, there are beings which can be more than one person - as our God is One God in three Persons.
This is all very symbolic, as are Ezekiel's visions in chapters 1 and 10. In Ezekiel 1:10, each of the 4 terrestrial planets is a full orb before and behind (i.e., a sphere) orbiting the central Sun ("a fire infolding itself," 1:4) Each of the 4 terrestrial planets have the same 4 faces. In other words, the four terrestrial planets are spheres that face all 4 directions as they orbit the Sun. One orbit ("wheel") is upon Earth (Eze. 1:15), and all four orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars are like wheels within wheels (Eze. 1:16).
Eze. 1:26 says, "And above the firmament (expanse of space) that was over their heads (farther out in space than the terrestrial planets) was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone (which means dear to the planet Saturn, from the Sanskrit Sani, Saturn, and priya, dear): and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man (Christ) above upon it."
Rev. 4:6-8 uses the same type of symbolism. It says, "before the throne (on Saturn) there was a sea of glass like unto crystal (krustallos, ice, i.e., Saturn's rings): and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts (lively flying things, i.e., planets) full of eyes (full orbs, i.e., spheres) before and behind. And the first beast was like (symbolic language) a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him (to distinquish the outer planets from the inner planets); and they were full of eyes (i.e., full orbs, spherical) within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come." In Rev. 1:8, Christ said, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."
The heavenly bodies are said to praise the Lord in Psa. 148:3,4. It says, "Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens."
> > chronologically, the trumpets do not follow the seals and the bowls do not follow the trumpets. The first six seals are "a summary of the judgments distributed over the whole book
I think Revelation is organized by using circle clocks. Six seals, represented by 6 circles within an outer ring, have the 7th circle in the middle of the 6. In that 7th circle is another circle clock representing the 7 trumpet judgments. In that 7th circle is another circle clock representing the 7 vials that fill up the wrath of God. Therefore, the 7 trumpets come out of the 7th seal, and the 7 vials come out of the 7th trumpet. The first 6 seals seem to be broken about one per year of the Tribulation. The shortening of the Great Tribulation comes between the 6th and 7th seals. I think the 6th seal is broken on the last day of this age (Rev. 6:12) and the 7th is broken the next day, the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord (Rev. 8:1).
> > A blessing and a curse is pronounced by someone (perhaps John, perhaps the angel, perhaps Jesus Himself). Doing His commandments does not earn us eternal life, but it is evidence that we have been granted eternal life. There is a textual dispute with the phrase those who do His commandments; some translations have those who have washed their robes instead. The difference is between HOIPLUNONTESTASSTOLAS (washed their robes) and HOIPOIOUNTESTASENTOLAS (do His commandments). This is a good example of how a copyist's error can cloud a text in rather minor ways, without effecting the essential meaning of the context.

God's clock for Israel stopped on Pentecost in 30 AD. Don't you think it might start up again on Pentecost? It is the time of the firstripe grapes (Song of Sol. 2:10-14; Isa. 18:3-6). Pentecost is the Feast of Weeks, a perfect time for the 70th week of Daniel to begin. It also is the time of wheat harvest and when Ruth was chosen by Boaz at midnight (Ruth 3:8). Ruth was there at Firstfruits and Pentecost. Ruth 2:23 says, "she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law." Where did Ruth dwell after wheat harvest?
Wasn't it Pentecost when Boaz "measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her"? I wonder of that signifies Sivan 6. When Ruth took the 6 measures of barley to her mother-in-law, Naomi said, "Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have FINISHED THE THING THIS DAY." Sit still sounds like a day of rest. The men were at the gate, not in the fields. Boaz purchased Ruth to be his wife at the gate. Does that represent the "open door" set before the Philadelphians? "So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife" (Ruth 4:13).
Didn't Boaz take Ruth to be his wife on Pentecost? Ruth, a Gentile, became related to Jesus through marriage. Their son was Obed, "the father of Jesse, the father of David" (Ruth 4:17). Won't The Bride of Christ become related to Jesus through marriage too? Will what was started on Pentecost in 30 AD be finished on Pentecost in 2001? Doesn't "FINISHED THE THING THIS DAY" mean anything to us today?
Ex. 23:14-16 says, "Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year. Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:) And THE FEAST OF HARVEST (Feast of Weeks/Pentecost), the FIRSTFRUITS of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field (the world): and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field."
Don't you think the Feast of INGATHERING will be fulfilled when Jews are to be sent from all around the world to Israel in the early part of the millennial Day of the Lord? What about Isa. 49:22? "Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders."
> > The rapture I believe and so does Zola Levitt, will be on the Feast of Trumpets which is in Sept. Oct. a harvest
I think there will be a Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets on the 2300th day of the Tribulation. It will be the Feast of Trumpets that begins the millennial Day of the Lord. I expect it on Sept. 13, 2007.
Joel 2:15-22 says, "Blow the TRUMPET in Zion (Feast of Trumpets, Tishri 1), sanctify a fast (the days of awe precede the Day of Atonement on Tishri 10), call a solemn assembly (of the saints, as in Heb. 12:23): GATHER (acaph, to gather an individual into a company of others) THE PEOPLE (those already in Heaven, Mt. 24:31), sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders (previously caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture), GATHER THE CHILDREN (Tribulation saints, last generation, Mark 13:27), and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom (Christ) go forth of his chamber, and the bride (Bride of Christ) out of her closet (chuppah, chamber, room, canopy). Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people....I will remove far off from you the northern army (Eze. 38,39), and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea (Dead Sea), and his hinder part toward the utmost (acharown, western, i.e., Mediterranean) sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things. Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength" (all Israel, saved in a day, Isa. 66:8).
Mt. 24:31 tells us about the ekklesia, called out ones, being gathered from one end of Heaven to the other. It says, "he shall send his angels with a great sound of a TRUMPET, and they shall GATHER TOGETHER his elect from the four winds, from one end of HEAVEN to the other." These are the ones caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture.
Mark 13:27 tells us of the Tribulation saints being gathered at this time. It says, "then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH to the uttermost part of HEAVEN." This is the time of the Pre-Wrath Rapture. I think they will be caught up during the night or early morning before the asteroid of Rev. 8:8 impacts Earth at noon.
Zeph. 2:1-7 says, "Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD's anger come upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: IT MAY BE YE SHALL BE HID IN THE DAY OF THE LORD'S ANGER (Pre-Wrath Rapture on Day of God's Wrath, Rev. 6:17; 7:14; 8:1,8). For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the NOON day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant. And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks. And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah."
Rev. 14:14-16 tells us of the Pre-Wrath Rapture. It says, "a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man (Christ), having on his head a golden crown (received earlier that same day), and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to REAP; FOR THE HARVEST OF THE EARTH IS RIPE. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped." After this, the rest are put in the winepress of the wrath of God.
I think this Pre-Wrath Rapture is the harvest on the Feast of Trumpets. Don't you? Micah played the part of a Tribulation saint when he said in 7:1, "Woe is me! for I am as (symbolic language) when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage (in Tishri): there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit" (the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture).
In Nu. 13:20, Moses told the spies to see, "what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now THE TIME WAS THE TIME OF THE FIRSTRIPE GRAPES."
Song of Sol. 2:10-15 says that it is the time when winter is past, the rain is over and gone and "the vines with the TENDER GRAPE give a good smell." Verse 15 says, "our vines have TENDER GRAPES." That doesn't sound like the Feast of Trumpets to me. And yet, v. 10 says, "My beloved (Christ) spake, and said unto me, RISE UP, my love, my fair one, and COME AWAY." That sounds like the Pre-Trib Rapture of the Bride of Christ is on Pentecost. Grapes begin to come on at the latter part of May or early June.
Isa. 18:3-4 mentions THE LORD blowing a TRUMPET and the heat of harvest. Then Verse 5 says, "For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches." I think that is when the first Rapture takes place, when there are firstripe grapes. It is also when the foolish Laodicean virgins are cut off and left behind, as this so dramatically shows.
> > Re: Rapture on Feast Day
I agree that the rapture will be a feast day. Heb. 12:22,23 (Rotherham) says of our assembly in Heaven, "But ye have approached—unto Zion’s mountain (not Sinai, but probably Sani, Saturn, as they were at Sinai at Pentecost), and unto the city of a Living God, a HEAVENLY JERUSALEM,—and unto myriads of messengers, IN HIGH FESTIVAL,—and unto an assembly of firstborn ones, enrolled in the heavens,—and unto God, judge of all,—and unto the spirits of righteous ones made perfect, And unto the mediator of a new covenant, Jesus."
Only at the times of 3 feasts did they go UP TO JERUSALEM, and Pentecost is one of them. Also, I Cor. 16:1 introduces an interesting section "concerning the collection for the saints." I wonder if it also has clues about the collection of the saints. In verses 8 and 9, Paul said, "I will tarry at Ephesus until PENTECOST. For a GREAT DOOR (Heaven's door?) and effectual is opened unto me." Jesus told the Philadelphians that he had set before them an "open door" (Rev. 3:8). In Rev. 4:1, we find out that it is Heaven's door.
To me, there is much that points to Pentecost being the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture and the Feast of Trumpets being the time of the Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Tribulation saints. Have a look at these scriptures and see what you think. Agape
Thanks for any insight you can share
The parable of the barren fig tree talks about digging and dunging the fig tree (Israel) the last year. It looks like that has been coming true, and this trouble started around the time of the Jewish New Year, Tishri 1, 5761 (Sept. 30, 2000).
In Lu. 13:5-9, Jesus said, "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." He told 5 of the church groups in Rev. 2 and 3 to repent too. That would be good advise for the 5 foolish virgins too.
"He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree (Israel, Joel 1:6,7) planted in his vineyard; and he CAME and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these THREE YEARS I COME seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone THIS YEAR ALSO, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down."
It is easy to see that the Tribulation is when Israel will feel the ax chopping at her trunk. If so, then it seems that the 4 years of the parable precede the Tribulation. 1998 was the 480th year of the Modern Parallels. I think it was the 6000th year since Adam was cast out of Eden too. It was well marked for some good reason. If Jesus came the 1st time to check for fruit on the fig tree on Pentecost, 1998, the 2nd time on Pentecost, 1999, and the 3rd time on Pentecost, 2000. Wouldn't he catch up the saints and start Israel's 5th cycle of discipline (Lev. 26:28) on Pentecost, 2001?
In the Modern Parallels, we see that God saw to it that there were 7 (meaning complete) blocks of time mentioned in the Bible that are in the 400s. Adding them each to 5278 (1517), when Martin Luther tacked his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany shows us something astonishing. Look.
5278 plus 400 equals 5678 (1917/18), the modern exodus began
5278 plus 430 equals 5708 (1947/48), Israel declared her Independence
5278 plus 434 equals 5712 (1951/52), Jerusalem declared capitol of Israel
5278 plus 450 equals 5728 (1967/68), the Six-Day War, Sign of the End of the Age, had just been won
5278 plus 480 equals 5758 (1997/98), 6000th year since Adam cast out of Eden
5278 plus 483 equals 5761 (2000/01), Feast of Weeks/Pentecost, maybe Rapture and beginning of Tribulation
5278 plus 490 equals 5768 (2007/08), I believe Christ will return the first day of the Jewish Regnal Year, Nisan 1
It seems to me that since the early fulfillments have happened, the rest will too. I can't see how it would happen otherwise. Another thing comes to mind. The Oslo Accords were signed Sept. 13, 1993. Add the 7 good years and the 7 bad years (as when Joseph was in Egypt), and we come to Sept. 13, 2007, the 2300th day of the Tribulation (Dan. 8:13,14), The Feast of Trumpets (Tishri 1, 5768) that starts the millennial Day of the Lord. I think that is the day of the 2nd Rapture and the Day of God's Wrath.
The Oslo Accords were ratified in Israel 3 days later, on Tishri 1, 5754. Add the 7 good and 7 bad years, and we come to Tishri 1, 5768, which just happens to be Sept. 13, 2007. To me, that smacks of something God would plan, not just a random coincidence.
If we are close to the Rapture, the unbelievers in Israel are close to more chopping than we have yet seen. Oh, how I wish they would turn to God before it is too late. If we are running out of time, so are they. There will be a remnant left, but what precedes the good times will be terror upon terror, when the asteroid as big as a mountain impacts the Mediterranean (Zeph. 2:4,5).
Isa. 28:5-21 says, "In that day shall the LORD of hosts (Christ, Isa. 44:6) be for a crown of glory (it's his Coronation Day in Heaven), and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people, And for a spirit of judgment (Judgment Seat of Christ) to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate. But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; THE PRIEST AND THE PROPHET (the Beast (Tribulation Pope) and False Prophet of Rev. 13) have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment....there is no place clean....Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. Because ye have said, We have made a COVENANT with DEATH (False Prophet), and with HELL (Satan, Rev. 6:8) are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge (tsunami) shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the WATERS SHALL OVERFLOW the hiding place. And YOUR COVENANT WITH DEATH SHALL BE DISANNULLED, AND YOUR AGREEMENT WITH HELL SHALL NOT STAND; when the overflowing scourge (tsunami) shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. From the time that it (the asteroid) goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report....For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim (meaning breaches), he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do HIS WORK, HIS STRANGE WORK; and bring to pass HIS ACT, HIS STRANGE ACT."
The forerunner was Joshua/Jesus' long day. Joshua 10:7-14 says, "Joshua ASCENDED (as ascending at the Pre-Wrath Rapture) from Gilgal (meaning a circle)...the LORD cast down great STONES FROM HEAVEN upon them unto Azekiah (meaning dug over, it's between Jerusalem and Gaza), and they died. THEY WERE MORE WHICH DIED WITH HAILSTONES THAN THEY WHOM THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL SLEW WITH THE SWORD....So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day."
Isa. 22:16-19 says, What hast thou here? (Babylon) and whom hast thou here (the False Prophet), that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he (Satan) that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock (the planet Rahab)? Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee. He will surely violently turn and TOSS THEE LIKE A BALL into a large country (Iraq): there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house. And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down." Agape
