With the Taliban's blessing, Bin Laden effectively had hijacked Ariana, the national civilian airline of Afghanistan. For four years, according to former U.S. aides and exiled Afghan officials, Ariana's passenger and charter flights ferried Islamic militants, arms, cash and opium through the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. Members of Bin Laden's Al Qaeda terrorist network were provided false Ariana identification that gave them free run of airports in the Middle East....
The T-39s, military versions of the twin-engine Sabreliner built by North American Rockwell, had been used by the Air Force since the late 1950s to transport generals and VIPs. The jet Ridi purchased was being overhauled at Van Nuys airport, so Lowrey trained the Egyptian in a borrowed T-39.
Ridi bought the plane from a Southern California broker, using funds from Al Qaeda to pay for the aircraft and the repairs. Ridi told Lowrey and Americans working on the T-39 that he planned to pilot the craft for wealthy Egyptians.
Ridi was a fast learner. Just weeks after he finished training, he flew the plane from Van Nuys to Texas. He then set out in January 1993--not for Cairo, but to the Sudanese capital of Khartoum. There, in a secluded guest house, he turned over the plane's keys to its real owner, Bin Laden....
According to Ridi, Bin Laden wanted his own T-39 to fly U.S.-built, shoulder-fired Stinger missiles from Pakistan to Sudan. Ridi provided his account of the T-39 sale in February, during testimony as a federal witness in the trial of four Al Qaeda terrorists convicted in the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania....
The T-39's third flight was its last. Returning to Khartoum in 1995, Ridi found the jet sagging in disuse, its tires melted in the desert heat, vents stuffed with sand. He overhauled the engine and took it for a test run, but the jet skidded, crashing into a dune. Panicked, Ridi fled.
U.S. officials are more certain of the fate of Ariana Airways' fleet of four Boeing 727s.
As U.S. bombers took to the skies over Afghanistan in recent weeks, Taliban officials reportedly withdrew the jets to hangars at an airfield near the city of Herat. The move provided no shelter. U.S. bombers struck at the Herat field repeatedly in search of "legitimate targets," Navy Adm. John D. Stufflebeem said.
Former Afghan civil air officials said Ariana's fleet no longer exists.
"The [Herat] airport," exulted a former Afghan civil air official, "is now flattened."

Israel - Today’s Jerusalem Post has articles that openly speak of the Foreign Minister of Israel "Shimon Peres" and his act of Betrayal in his speech to the United Nations Yesterday. But he not only betrayed the Jewish People in Israel and around the world, he has once again betrayed the God of Israel as well. Just as he forced his ideals of the failed Oslo agreement on the Israeli people he now wants to force them to give the land given to us by God to the enemies of God. The Israeli people have never elected this man to ever hold a post in the Government yet he seems to always hold a high level post in every Government.

Joel 3:2 says, "I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

All the empires represented by the image in Nebuchadnezzar's dream were considered to be world empires. Dan. 2:37,38 says of Nebuchadnezzar, "Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee RULER OVER THEM ALL. Thou art this head of gold." The world empires are Babel, Babylon II, Media-Persia, Greece, Rome, Ecclesiastical Rome, and Babylon III. At the time of the Rapture, 5 have fallen, and the Tribulation Pope is in office. The False Prophet has not yet come (Rev. 17:10.
The first ruler of Babylon III is THE BEAST of Rev. 13:2-10. He "shall be diverse from all kingdoms (because he is the head of Ecclesiastic Rome), and shall devour THE WHOLE EARTH, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces." These pieces probably represent the10 regions of this world that have already been decided on.
In Rev. 13:7,8, "power was given him over ALL kindreds, and tongues, and NATIONS. And ALL that dwell upon the earth SHALL WORSHIP HIM, whose names are not written in the book of life." So this man called THE BEAST in Rev. 20:10, is over all nations and all religions. When his 3.5-year reign is over, the Satan-possessed False Prophet will take over. He will be the final Antichrist. Rev. 13:11,12 says, "And I beheld ANOTHER beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns (2 comings to power, in Judas Iscariot and the False Prophet) like a lamb (as Christ has 2 comings), and he spake as a dragon (because Satan is in him). And he exerciseth ALL the power of the first beast before him."
When the False Prophet comes to power, he will take over as head of the UN and UR, United Nations and United Religions. He will send the armies of "ALL NATIONS" (i.e., of the UN) against Jerusalem. "Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle" (Zech. 14:2,3).
The name Jesus is from the Greek. From the Hebrew, it is Joshua. Jesus' Long Day was prefigured by Joshua's Long Day. Joshua 10:10,11 says, "And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Bethhoron, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah. And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that THE LORD CAST DOWN GREAT STONES (ASTEROIDS) FROM HEAVEN UPON THEM unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword." Rev. 8:8,10 tell of the asteroids that will fall on the 1st day of the millennial Day of the Lord. Babylon is destroyed by the "star" (aster), Rev. 18:21.
Thus the Lord will receive his kingdom in Heaven on the 1st day of the Millennium. Just as Solomon purged his kingdom right at the first, Christ will purge his kingdom on the 1st day. From that day on, there will be no more UN or UR. Zech. 5:2-4 says, "he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll (flying rolling thing, the binary asteroid); the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits. Then said he unto me, This is THE CURSE that goeth forth (orbits) over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it (as half of the 10 commandments were on one stone tablet); and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it (the other stone tablet). I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts (Christ, Isa. 44:6), and it shall enter into the house of the thief (the False Prophet), and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name (the Pope, who claims infallibility): and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof." No more UN; no more UR. "And...there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever" (Rev 11:15). The Pope said he hoped the January 24 meeting in the Italian city of Assisi, birthplace of St Francis, would be particularly helpful in improving relations between Christians and Muslims following the September 11 attacks on the United States.
The Pope, speaking to pilgrims and tourists in St Peter's Square, said the international situation was very worrying.
"We cannot forget the heavy sufferings that have been inflicted and continue to be inflicted on our brothers and sisters in the world," the Pope said.
"(There were) thousands of innocent victims in the very grave attacks on September 11; numerous people are (now) forced to abandon their homes to face the unknown, sometimes a cruel death; women, elderly and children exposed to the risk of dying of cold and hunger," he said.
The Pope hosted a similar meeting in Assisi in 1986.
During that session, nearly all parties in armed conflicts around the world adhered to his appeal and laid down their arms for 24 hours as a gesture of peace while the meeting was held.
The Pope said the threat of terrorism was "always constant" and added:
"The more insurmountable the difficulties seem, the darker the prospects, so much more intense should our prayer to God become to implore him for the gift of mutual understanding, of concord and peace."
The Pope said he wanted the new Assisi summit in the birthplace of the saint most associated with peace, "to help overcome contrasts and promote authentic peace."
He said it was particularly important for Muslims and Christians to show the world "that religions must never be allowed to become a cause of conflict."
In his address on Sunday, the Pope also urged Roman Catholics to hold a fast for peace on December 14.

I just got a call from Dr. Neil Lipkin, orthodontist friend in Indiana. There was an unusual excitement in his voice. I knew something had happened.
Neil is a Messianic Jew, a long-time Bible student and teacher, totally committed to Messiah Yeshua, and a very sharp fellow. He believes the rapture is extremely near.
He said he was sound asleep during the night, early in the wee hours of the morning of today, November 20, 2001, when all of a sudden his wife, Cynthia, started shaking him strongly to wake up. He awoke, startled. Cynthia had already been up, working in the kitchen.
As he opened his eyes from the shaking, Neil noticed that said Cynthia was "really freaked out," he said. She began to tell him what had just happened to her. While she was working in the kitchen, she said, just out of nowhere she suddenly began to hear voices. There were no humans around, so they could not have been human voices. She could not understand what they were saying. Neil tried to describe to me what the voices sounded like, as she described it to him, and all I can say is that they sounded like loud whispers where none of the words were discernible.
Suddenly, out of those soft and muffled voices, Cynthia reported that she heard a male voice, very clearly and distinctly. The voice said, "IT'S JUST ABOUT TIME." That's all he said. But as soon as those words were heard, all the other voices suddenly shushed and ceased.
This happened at 4:30 a.m., November 20, 2001. End of story.
It is noteworthy that while Cynthia is a Christian, she has really not been into Bible prophecy as has Neil. She is open, but has just not had the intensity of interest that he has had. This was no doubt a supernatural message. I believe that God's angels were the source of this message because Neil has been such a diligent watchman. That God chose the wife to give the message to is interesting. I have my thoughts on that but you can come up with your own speculation. God's ways are mysterious, but always good!
It also seems noteworthy that Neil is an avid believer in the rapture, and knowledgeable teacher of same. He is persuaded that it is not only the next major event on God's timetable, but that it is very near. It is interesting that God would have chosen such a rapture believer for this message. God obviously knows Neil's persuasion and predisposition, so, in my opinion, the answer to the question, "It's just about time -- for what?" is obviously, "the rapture."

Easton's Bible Dictionary says, "Tyre consisted of two distinct parts, a rocky fortress on the mainland, called "Old Tyre," and the city, built on a small, rocky island about half-a-mile distant from the shore. It was a place of great strength. It was besieged by Shalmaneser, who was assisted by the Phoenicians of the mainland, for five years, and by Nebuchadnezzar (B.C. 586-573) for thirteen years, apparently without success. It afterwards fell under the power of Alexander the Great, after a siege of seven months, but continued to maintain much of its commercial importance till the Christian era. It is referred to in Mat_11:21 and Act_12:20. In A.D. 1291 it was taken by the Saracens, and has remained a DESOLATE RUIN ever since."
The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (ISBE) says of Tyre, "It was of considerable importance in the Crusades and continued so until toward the end of the 13th century, when its trade declined, and IT HAS NOW DWINDLED TO A TOWN OF SOME 5,000 INHABITANTS. (H. Porter).
Unger's Bible Dictionary seems to bring both of these accounts together. It says, "Tyre sufered violent destruction in the thirteenth century when the Moslems took it from the Crusaders. THE TOWN IS IN RUINS NOW, consisting of miserable huts and PEOPLE, ABOUT FIVE THOUSAND 'impoverished Metawileh, or Persian schismatics, and Arab Christians.'
Eze. 27:32 says, "What city is like (symbolic language) Tyrus (rock), like (symbolic language) the destroyed in the midst of the sea?" (Babylon, Rev. 18:21). Questions are often used in Scripture to make us stop and think of other scriptures that might tie in. Eze. 28 jumps from the literal Tyre to the symbolic Tyre that is to be destroyed by the stone like a great millstone, Babylon (Rev. 18:21).
Eze. 28:1-19 says, "The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Son of man, say unto the prince (Satan-possessed False Prophet) of Tyrus (meaning rock), Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and THOU HAST SAID, I AM A GOD, I SIT IN THE SEAT OF GOD, IN THE MIDST OF THE SEAS (in Jerusalem, between the Mediterranean and Dead seas) ; YET THOU ART A MAN, AND NOT GOD, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel (because he is Satan-possessed); there is no secret that they can hide from thee: With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures: By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches (steals the bank accounts of those that will not take the Mark of the Beast), and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God; Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations (Gog's army, Eze. 38): and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness. I believe the main motivation of Muslims is not just to get to Paradise with the young "maidens" and "boys." No way! The REAL motivation is stark terror! If they don't obey Allah (9:5) and "slay the idolaters, beseige them, lie in wait, etc.," they are guaranteed to go to a hell that is described in many chapters as being horrifcally terrifying! Allah will have them "dragged on their faces" to a "Fiery," unending Hell.
There, they will drink boiling water like a "diseased camel" "raging with thirst. This is alternated with an ice cold, thick, liquid substance! Then, after their skins are burned off for the day, Allah provides them with "new skin" daily that they may "taste anew" the "Fire of Hell" the next day and for ever! So, even though wives and daughters may not ever make it to Paradise to be with the 70 virgins "untouched by man or Jinn," they, too, are greatly motivated to avoid such a Hell.
The greatest Terrorist is Allah Himself who tells Muslims that unbelievers should be "crucified," their feet and hands "alternatively" "cut off," their "finger tips removed," etc., etc.
These poor, terrorized Muslim men, women and children must figure, "Better them than us!" So, you get the Twin Towers!
Allah DOES preach peace and forgiveness. The catch is--ONLY toward fellow Muslims. Make friends with non-Muslims only if you are in a weaker position. If they convert to Islam, watch them, because they may just be pretending. If they are hypocrites, "slay them!"
Allah is also AGAINST killing innocent men women, and children. You hear Muslims say this all the time on the media. They never tell you that the only innocent men women and children are Muslims!
They say that Allah is against suicide. Read the next verse! It is not suicide if you die trying to kill idolaters --the infidels: the "Polytheists" --that's us Christians who( Allah teaches all Muslims in his Koran) believe in three Gods. Allah thus mocks the Trinity! Notice (on MSNBC, etc) how proud the mothers are of the young boys who have thus martyred themselves for the PLO are! It even showed the younger (Kindergarten -aged) brothers with "pretend" bombs strapped around their bodies proudly proclaiming that they want to be next!
"Allah" is really two words, "Al" or "the"--and "Lah" or "God"! Allah therefore means "The God"! The Bible calls Satan "the god" of this world (age).
Feb 23rd is the last day of the "sacred months" mentioned in Surah 9:5 I believe that Muslims like Osama and Saddam feel that that will be the time to finally be able to obey Allah about rising up and "slaying the idolaters" "after these sacred months (beginning with Ramadan) have passed." (9:5)
They evidently feel they are strong enough and we are weak enough that they can do this. And according to Sura 9:1 it is OK to lie to nonMuslims and break peace treaties with us "idolaters."
(which is what Arafat reminded fellow Muslims of in Arabic, not in English or Hebrew-- when he signed the Peace Treaty in Oslo in 1993)

Thanks for your kind words and this information. It helps us understand how non-Christian people can can be fooled into thinking lying and killing are ok. Satan is sneaky. Arafat said that he was willing to die for his people, so why shouldn't he lie for them. Sad that so many are following the god of this world instead of the God of the whole Universe. Agape
