God's picture book, "THE WAY," written in the stars

Just as we give our children picture books before we give them the written word, God wrote his gospel story in the heavens and gave man a picture of it--before he gave us the Bible. When he rested the seventh day, "the heavens and the earth were FINISHED, and all the host of them" (Gen. 2:1). Psa. 96: 5 says, "all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens."

According to Josephus and others, Adam, Seth and Enoch drew the first pictorial gospel story. They were contemporaries 308 years. Enoch was a prophet. Jude 14,15 says, "Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, Prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all." He knew the whole plan of God right up to the Second Advent.

The Lord talked with Adam in the Garden, teaching him daily. After his sin, the Lord taught Adam about a substitutionary sacrifice for sin when he killed a lamb and made lamb-skin clothing for Adam and Eve. Our spiritual robes are also a form of Lamb-skin clothing, for Christ is the Lamb that taketh away the sins of the world. We become "members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones" (Eph. 5:30). Cain and Abel knew about making offerings to the Lord (Gen. 4:1-5).

In God's gospel in the stars, the Zodiac (THE WAY, from the Heb. root "zodi"), this is portrayed by the constellation THE BAND. As the Body of Christ, we are his fish (PISCES) and are connected to the Lamb of God (ARIES) by THE BAND. CETUS (Satan) is allowed to tug at us to test us, but the Lamb puts his foot down on THE BAND and says, "Enough" when we pass our test. Cursing then turns to blessing. The fish (PISCES AUSTRALUS) that is not tied to THE BAND can make the decision to accept the living water (Holy Spirit) poured out by Christ our water giver. When he accepts Christ as Saviour, he is baptized by Christ (AQUARIUS), filled with the Holy Spirit, as on Pentecost in 30 AD, and then becomes part of the body of the fish (Body of Christ) connected to the Lamb of God by THE BAND. There are two kinds of fish. The one swimming up (representing wise virgins) is espoused to Him and becomes the Bride of Christ. The other fish (representing foolish virgins) has to swim on for a time so she can get get closer to the water giver (AQUARIUS). She needs more of his living water.

"THE WAY" illustrates many gospel stories. Christ's conflict with Satan (OPHIUCHUS vs SERPENS) for the crown (CORONA) is clear. His virgin birth (VIRGO) and his childhood (COMA) are there. COMA sits on a footstool with a foot on one leg to show that this takes place on the Earth. Isa. 66:1 says, "the earth is my footstool." His dual nature is depicted. CEN-, from the Greek "kain" means new. CENTAURUS is the NEW TAURUS (GOVERNOR, i.e., God in a human body). His death and resurrection are pictured (CAPRICORNUS). The cross (CRUX) is there. Both Raptures are indicated (THE LESSER AND GREATER SHEEPFOLDS). Christ's reaping with the SICKLE on the Day of God's Wrath is pictured. BOOTES (THE COMING ONE, from the Hebrew "bo," come), reaps THE GREATER SHEEPFOLD with his SICKLE. The outpouring of God's wrath is depicted in ARA, the upside-down flaming altar and TAURUS, the charging two horned bull. The final triumph of the King of kings (CEPHEUS) and of the Wife of Christ (CASSIOPEIA), to whom he holds out his golden sceptre, is there.

The Christ vs. Satan conflict is there in other places. HERCULES (wearing a Lamb skin, representing Christ) has his foot on the head of DRACO (Satan). PERSEUS (Christ) has cut off the head of Satan (ROSH SATAN). SAGITTARIUS (the CEN TAURUS shooting an arrow [SAGITTA] at SCORPIO's [Satan's] heart) has a hurt foot. ORION (THE COMING OF THE BRANCH, i.e., Christ) has cut off the head of the "roaring lion," (Satan, I Peter 5:8) and is holding up his head and skin to depict his victory. The lion's tail is in ERIDANUS, the river of fire to show that both the False Prophet and Satan end up in the Lake of Fire.

That Christ was able to lay down his own life and take it up again is even shown. CENTAURUS (Christ) slaying VICTIMA (Christ) depicts it. CAPRICORNUS, as a sacrificial goat, dies and is resurrected as a lively fish. AURIGA (Christ as the good shepherd) has one heel being pricked by one horn of TAURUS (Christ). There is much much more. In each constellation, the names that God gave the stars explain what the picture stands for.

There is even a possibility that the general time from the day the book was illustrated to our days is indicated by the precession of the equinoxes. As God's children, let's look carefully at our picture book he has provided. It illustrates the Bible stories.

The Zodiac pictured in Robin Kerrod's "Star Guide," p. 30, was in an ancient astronomy book. It has an interesting feature that looks like an elliptical race track, but has 7000 years marked off in 500-year increments around the track. I can read "Christ" and "Post Christ" among the words on it. I take it that all that is depicted will take place over a 7000-year period.

Its teachings are so clear to careful examiners, it is no wonder that Satan tried to confuse mankind's analytical brains with overlaid myths. Its clarity prodded the ever defensive Satan to establish mystery and idolatrous religions that worshipped the creation instead of the Creator, anything to keep man from understanding the gospel story clearly enough to be saved. In his "Witness of the Stars," Bullinger, p. 22, said of ancient religions, "they themselves are a corruption and perversion of primitive truth."

As God worked to refresh the Earth to make it a fit habitat for Adam, he said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for SIGNS (othoth, plural of oth, from the root TO COME, i.e., for SIGNS OF THINGS TO COME), and for SEASONS, and for days, and years" (Gen. 1:14). Signs are to teach us something, as the sign of Jonah prefigured the three days and three nights Jesus was in the heart of the Earth.

Jer. 10:2 says, "Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and BE NOT DISMAYED AT THE SIGNS OF HEAVEN; for the heathen are dismayed at them." Bullinger said on pp. 177,178, "The word 'seasons' does not denote merely what we call the four seasons of the year, but cycles of time...Gen. i. 14 is therefore, "They (the sun, moon, and stars) shall be for signs (things to come) and for cycles (appointed times)." That holds out the hope that we can understand these cycles.

Lu. 21:25 says, "And there shall be SIGNS in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars (astrois, CONSTELLATIONS)." I think we have had at least two, the stupendous GAMMA RAY BURSTER in the shepherd's crook of BOOTES (Jan. 23, 1999) and the new star, NOVA VELORUM, in the sails of the ship ARGO (May 22, 1999). Those sails are reefed (folded together). The ship is docking. The new star in the sails calls attention to the fact that the ship is no longer under full sail.

I think there was a new star before Jesus' birth, and it seems that he has shown us a new star before he comes again. The timing seems similar. The former star appeared about two years before Jesus was born for the wise men visited when the child was in his second year. Herod had the children two and under killed in Bethlehem. The Jews call a child one year old his whole first year. So, my guess is that Jesus was in his second year of life. If the Rapture takes place next Pentecost, June 9/10, 2000, it will be in the second year since the new star appeared.

BOOTES (THE COMING ONE) represents Christ as the good shepherd who is coming. ARGO, the ship, means THE COMPANY OF TRAVELERS. We are in Christ as Noah and his family were in the Ark. We are this company of travelers. In ARGO, the sails are reefed, the oars are reversed as it backs into the dock. The Rapture is as the days of Noah and the Ark (Lu. 17:26), so it looks like the Rapture is near. The good shepherd is ready to gather his sheep and lead them home. It looks like he will use his shepherd's crook to gather the saints in THE LESSER SHEEPFOLD at the Pre-Trib Rapture and his sickle to gather the Tribulation saints in THE GREATER SHEEPFOLD at the Pre-Wrath Rapture. Rev. 14:15,16 says, "Thrust in thy SICKLE, and reap: for THE TIME IS COME for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he (the Son of man) that sat on the cloud (coming in the air again, as at the first Rapture) thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped."

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament (expanse of space) sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and NIGHT UNTO NIGHT SHEWETH KNOWLEDGE. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is AS (symbolic language) a BRIDEGROOM (Christ) COMING out of his chamber, and rejoiceth AS a strong man (OPHIUCHUS, running on the ecliptic) to RUN a race. His GOING FORTH is from the end of the heaven, and his CIRCUIT (along the ecliptic) unto the ends of it" (Psa. 19:1-6). Job 22:14 says, "Thick clouds are a covering to him (Saturn has thick cloud cover)...and he (God) walketh in the CIRCUIT OF HEAVEN." Therefore, Heaven is a planet that orbits along the ecliptic. It is also in the Milky Way. All these signs are in the Milky Way, CEPHEUS, the King, and CASSIOPEIA, his wife, GEMINI's feet, PERSEUS, AURIGA, SAGITTARIUS, SCORPIO, CRUX, the Cross, VELA, sails, PUPPIS, poop (both parts of the ship ARGO, CANIS MAJOR, SAGITTA and CYGNUS.

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world" (Rom. 10:18).

Paul said, "I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL OF CHRIST: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For the wrath of God is REVEALED FROM HEAVEN (TAURUS, charging) against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for GOD HATH SHEWED IT UNTO THEM. For the invisible things of him from the CREATION OF THE WORLD are CLEARLY SEEN, being understood by the things that are MADE, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but BECAME vain in their IMAGINATIONS (i.e., the myths), and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts...Who CHANGED THE TRUTH OF GOD INTO A LIE, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever." (Rom. 1:16-25).

THEIR SIGNS vs OUR SIGNS. Psa. 74:4-14 says, "Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregation; they set up THEIR ENSIGNS FOR SIGNS." This is the twisted use of the Zodiac by ASTROLOGY and the false religions built on myths. They have changed the truth of God into a lie. Verse 9 continues, "We see not OUR SIGNS: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth HOW LONG. O God, HOW LONG shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?...Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the DRAGONS in the waters. Thou brakest the heads of LEVIATHAN in pieces."

Before the gospel was written in the Bible, the "GOSPEL OF CHRIST" must have been shown to early man by inspiration of God in the pictorial map of the heavens called in Job, probably the oldest book in the Bible, the "MAZZAROTH," which we call the Zodiac.

Joseph A. Seiss, in his "Gospel in the Stars," p. 21, said, "...different mathematicians have calculated that Job lived and wrote somewhere about twenty-one hundred and fifty years before Christ...And yet, already in the time of Job the heavens were astronomically laid out and arranged in the manner just described, with the Zodiac formed, the constellations named, the figures of them drawn and recorded, and the same accepted and celebrated by God's people as the particular adornment of the sky in which to read the Almighty's glory."

Before the Law was given to Moses, in Job 38:29, the Lord spoke to Job out of the whirlwind. He said, "Canst thou bind the sweet influences of PLEIADES, or loose the bands of ORION? Canst thou bring forth MAZZAROTH in his season? or canst thou guide ARCTURUS (ASH, THE GREATER SHEEPFOLD) with his sons (the three lambs in the handle of THE GREATER SHEEPFOLD/BIG DIPPER, heading for the sickle in BOOTES' hand)? Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven?"

"By HIS SPIRIT he (the LORD) hath GARNISHED (made bright, i.e., with stars) THE HEAVENS; HIS HAND HATH FORMED THE CROOKED (bariyach, fugitive, as fleeing) SERPENT (Satan himself, and HYDRA to represent him in the heavens). Lo, these are parts (i.e., DECANS) of his (God's) ways." (Job. 26:13,14).

"Which MAKETH ARCTURUS (ASH, THE LESSER SHEEPFOLD), ORION, and PLEIADES (in TAURUS), and the CHAMBERS (cheder, enclosed rooms) OF THE SOUTH (probably on the ship ARGO in the southern sky)." (Job 9:9).

"He telleth the number of the STARS; he calleth them all by THEIR NAMES" (Psa. 147:4). These names tell us what the pictures represent.

Isa. 40:10-31 says, "Behold, the Lord GOD will COME with strong hand, and HIS ARM (Christ, Isa. 53:1) SHALL RULE for him: behold, HIS REWARD IS WITH HIM (Rev. 22:12), and his work before him. He shall feed his flock LIKE (symbolic language) a SHEPHERD (BOOTES and AURIGA): he shall gather the lambs with his ARM, and carry them in his bosom (as AURIGA holds the mother goat and her kids)....To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? The workman melteth a graven image...that shall not be moved (the WRONG thing to do). Have ye not known? have ye not heard? HATH IT NOT BEEN TOLD YOU FROM THE BEGINNING (from Adam's day)? HAVE YE NOT UNDERSTOOD FROM THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE EARTH? It is he (the LORD) that SITTETH upon the circle (ecliptic) of the earth (the left figure in GEMINI), and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that STRETCHETH OUT THE HEAVENS AS A CURTAIN (of the Tabernacle), and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in...To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. LIFT YOUR EYES ON HIGH (i.e., look at the sky), AND BEHOLD (see) WHO HATH CREATED THESE THINGS, that bringeth out their host by number: HE (the LORD) CALLETH THEM (the stars) ALL BY NAMES by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth (all that is promised in the pictorial gospel will come to pass)....They that WAIT upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall MOUNT UP WITH WINGS (be raptured) AS EAGLES (as LYRA, the singing eagle with a lyre clasped to his breast); they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

God originally set up the Sabbath Day, Saturday. Of the names of the days of the week, Seiss, p. 22,23, says, "But that system of the seven days is essentially bound up with these selfsame astronomical notations. We find among all the ancient nations--Chaldeans, Persians, Hindoos, Chinese, and Egyptians--that the seven days of the week were in universal use; and, what is far more remarkable, each of these nations named the days of the week, as we still do, after the seven planets, numbering the Sun and Moon among them. Hence we say Sun-day, Moon-day, Tuisco or Tuves'-day (Tuisco being the Anglo-Saxon name for Mars), Woden's-day (Woden being the same as Mercury), Thor's-day (Thor being the same as Jupiter), Friga-day (Friga or Freiya being the same as Venus), and lastly, Saturn-day, anciently the most sacred of the seven." (italics omitted)

In Heb., Saturn is Shabbatai. Sabbath is Shabbat. There must be a connection. Maybe the Rapture will happen on Saturn-day, Sivan 7, June 10, 2000. In Rev. 22:16, Jesus said, "I am the root (YHVH) and the offspring of David (Jesus), and the BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR." In verse 20, he said, Surely I come quickly. Amen (so be it)." He is talking about the Rapture. I think he will come at the Rapture on Pentecost, when Saturn is literally a bright and morning star in our skies. Of the overcomers of the churches, he said, "I will give him the MORNING STAR" (Rev. 2:28). They are believers and already have Christ in their hearts, so that is not what he is talking about. I think Heaven will literally be a morning star at the time of the Rapture. Around the end of May and early June, Saturn rises around 2:30 AM, as seen from Jerusalem.

The lyre marks both the flying eagle in LYRA and the Bride in GEMINI, showing that they both represent the same group. Yes, there will come a time when "The Eagle has landed," and it won't be on the Moon, it will be in Heaven, riding the circuit of the ecliptic just like the Sun.

After the Pre-Trib Rapture, after Christ takes the seven-sealed Title Deed to the Earth, the elders fall "down before the Lamb, having every one of them HARPS" (Rev. 5:8). These represent all the saints caught up in the first Rapture. At the second Rapture, John heard "harpers harping with their HARPS" (Rev. 14:2). "And I saw another SIGN IN HEAVEN...And I saw as it were (symbolic language) a sea of glass (hualinos, transparent crystals) mingled with fire: and them that HAD GOTTEN THE VICTORY over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass (an icy sea of frozen crystals, i.e., Saturn's rings), having the HARPS of god" (Rev. 15:1,2). The lyre/harp is a symbol of the Redeemed. AQUILLA, the wounded and dying eagle, represents the body of Christ in the heavens, but in LYRA, we see that the eagle has come back to life, is ascending toward the north, and is clasping his redeemed to his breast as he flies. He is singing with obvious joy.

At the time of the Pre-Wrath Rapture, those caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture are already in Heaven. "For wheresoever the carcase (body, i.e., the Body of Christ) is (in Heaven), there will the EAGLES (those flying up in the second Rapture) be gathered together" (Mt. 24:27).

Amos 5:8 says, "Seek Him that MAKETH the SEVEN STARS (and calls them the PLEIADES, Job 38:29) and ORION...The LORD (YHVH) is his NAME." We are to seek the truth laid out for us pictorially in the heavens, but we are to ALWAYS worship the CREATOR, not the creature. We are not to make any image ourselves whatsoever to worship. We are to study ASTRONOMY, but SHUN anything to do with Satan's perversions meant to confuse us, ASTROLOGY and idolatrous religions built on his twisted myths.

I think Adam was created in BC 4043. It was 622 years afterward when Enoch was born in BC 3421. God's Zodiac, the original one, may have been drawn up during the latter part of the 26 years between BC 3421 and BC 3447.

The following interesting information is found on pp. 23, 24 in Seiss' "Gospel in the Stars.

"It is now mostly admitted that alphabetic writing is as old as the human family--that Adam knew how to write as well as we, and that he did write. There certainly were books or writings before the Flood, for the New Testament quotes from one of them, which it ascribes to Enoch, and Adam still lived more than three hundred years after Enoch was born. All the known primitive alphabets had the same number of letters, including seven vowels, and all began, as now, with A, B, C., and ended with S, T, U. But whilst we are using the alphabet every day in almost everything, how few have ever thought to remark why the letters appear in the one fixed order or succession, and why the vowels are so irregularly distributed among the consonants! Yet in the simple every-day a, b, c's we have the evidence of the knowledge and actual record of the SEVEN PLANETS in connection with the ZODIAC, dating back to the year 3447 before Christ. If we refer the twenty-five letters of the primitive alphabet to the twelve signs of the Zodiac, placing the first two letters in GEMINI as the first sign, and take the SEVEN VOWELS in their places as representing the SEVEN PLANETS, a for the Moon, e for Venus, the two additional sounds of e for the Sun and Mercury, i for Mars, o for Jupiter, and u for Saturn, As Sanchoniathon and various of the ancients say they are to be taken, the result is that we find the MOON IN THE FIRST HALF OF GEMINI, Venus in the first half of Leo, THE SUN IN THE LATTER HALF OF VIRGO, Mercury in the first half of Libra, Mars in the latter half of SCORPIO, Jupiter in the latter half of AQUARIUS, and SATURN IN THE FIRST HALF OF GEMINI; which, according to Dr. Seyffarth, is an exact notation of the actual condition of the heavens at an ascertainable date, which can occur but once in many thousands of years, and that date is the seventh day of September, 3447 before Christ!" (emphasis mine)

It is neat to find out that Saturn and the Moon were in the first half of GEMINI in those days. I think Saturn is our "third heaven...paradise" (II Cor. 12:2-4), and the right half of GEMINI represents the redeemed. Eph. 2:6 says that God "hath raised us up together, and made us SIT TOGETHER IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS." GEMINI represents this graphically. The male figure on the left represents Christ. The female figure on the right holding a LYRE represents us, the Redeemed. Both are resting, apparently seated on Saturn on the ecliptic. That Saturn is in the Milky Way is shown by AURIGA, for this good shepherd also represents Christ and is SEATED on the Milky Way.

Another place where the Bridegroom and Bride are seated in heavenly places is in the center of the Zodiac picture. With his foot just above the North Star, CEPHEUS is seated on his throne. His crown has points topped with seven stars. (In the Preview of the Rapture, Christ has seven stars in his right hand, Rev. 1:16.) CEPHEUS is holding out his sceptre (as the king did to Esther, Est. 8:4) to Queen CASSIOPEIA, who is seated on her throne beside him.

In Hebrew, GEMINI is THAUMIN, the UNITED. It has the idea of completion, as of a betrothal. The word is used in Ex. 26:24 in referring to boards that are to be twinned or made alike. As we grow up in Christ, we become more Christ like.

After the Exodus, the Israelites camped around the Tabernacle in the wilderness. According to the Pharisee priest and Jewish historian Josephus, the camp was in a circle around the Tabernacle. The priests were near the Tabernacle, and the people camped in concentric circles around the priests, with roads between each circle. This was a good picture to represent Saturn with its many ice crystal rings that look like the grooves on a phonograph record.

Gen. 23:15-18 says that "the angel of the LORD CALLED unto Abraham out of heaven THE SECOND TIME, And said...because thou...hast not withheld thy son...I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven (a heavenly group), and as the sand which is upon the sea shore (an earthly group); and thy SEED (Christ) shall possess the GATE (shaar, DOOR, PORT) of his enemies (the Dragon's herd); And in thy seed (Christ) shall all the nations of the earth be blessed." Gal. 3:16 says, "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." Therefore, Christ is the seed that "shall possess the GATE of his enemies." However, we, as the Body of Christ, are heirs with Him, Rom. 8:17). A gate pivots on hinges, and this "GATE of his enemies" may be represented in the heavens by the Pole Star around which all the other stars pivot. The Pole Star of BC 3447 is not the Pole Star now.

When the Zodiac was drawn, the constellation Draco held the Pole-Star, Alpha Draconis, called THUBAN, located in the TAIL of the dragon. The Great Pyramid of Giza, built near the time the Zodiac picture book was illustrated, was aligned on that star, preserving that record.

Because of precession, wobbling of the Earth's axis, the pole star is now POLARIS, Alpha in THE LESSER SHEEPFOLD (URSA MINOR). It is the outermost star in the handle of the "LITTLE DIPPER." We are the Body of Christ, and I think we are the sheep in this sheepfold, rotating around the North Star, and we are at Christ's feet as pictured by CEPHEUS the crowned King sitting on his throne with his foot above POLARIS. Christ called Simon the apostle by his surname, Cephas, which is Chaldean for rock. Christ is our rock, "petra," a mass of rock. Peter is "Petros," a piece of rock larger than a millstone. Is there a connection between the Chaldean word for rock, "Cephas," and CEPHEUS? I think so. I Cor. 10:4 says, "and that Rock was Christ." CEPHEUS represents the enthroned Christ.

Pictorially, the Body of Christ now holds this pivot that once belonged to His enemies. If you draw a line from THUBAN to POLARIS, it goes through the gate of THE LESSER SHEEPFOLD in the direction that would push the gate open. Is there a chance that it depicts the "open door" the Lord has set before us? Has the set time just about arrived? Is POLARIS exactly at the pole? It is exciting to think that God's plans are written in the stars. Because of God's strong warnings against Satan's deadly false teachings, we have been so conditioned to leave ASTROLOGY alone that we may have missed some things that ASTRONOMY is supposed to reveal to us. Let us stay away from things like ASTROLOGY, horoscopes, fortelling things in an individual's life and take a closer look at God's creation, the Zodiac (THE WAY). It tells the story of Christ's conflict with Satan and a whole lot more.

The twelve signs of the Zodiac are definitely associated with the twelve tribes of Israel. They all had banners with their sign on them. Nu. 2:2 says, "Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ENSIGN (oth, SIGN) OF THEIR FATHER'S HOUSE: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch." Four banners, representing the cardinal points of the compass, are indicated in Ezek. 1:10 and Nu. 2. Both Bullinger's "Witness of the Stars," p. 18, and Christ Patrick's "Zodiac Conspiracy," p. 111, list the tribes and their signs in the order that agrees with Numbers 2. Avi Ben Mordechai's "Signs in the Heavens," p. 365, lists them also, but he has Gad and Nephtali switched. The dates in the following list are when the Sun is in that sign.

Notice that the signs of the gospel in the stars start with the virgin birth (VIRGO) and end with the Lion of the tribe of Judah (LEO), the King of kings. One reason we know where to start and end the story is because Frances Rolleston discovered a representation of the woman-headed-lion-bodied Sphinx (meaning to bind closely together) inscribed in the Zodiac in the temple at Esneh, Egypt. The woman is the head, the lion is the tail. It is between VIRGO and LEO. Also, a star, named by God, in LEO, SARCAM (Heb., THE JOINING), shows where the two ends of the Zodiacal circle join, between VIRGO and LEO.

Nu. 24:17 says, "there shall come a Star out of Jacob (Judah), and a Sceptre (King) shall rise out of Israel." Judah's sign was LEO, and Jesus is "the Lion of the tribe of Juda" (Rev. 5:5). LEO represents Christ as King.

The wise men said, "Where is he that is born KING of the Jews (LION of Judah)? for we have seen HIS STAR in the EAST (i.e., maybe it was a new star in LEO, Judah's SIGN that marked EAST when they camped around the Tabernacle, Nu. 2:3), and are come to worship him" (Mt. 2:2). The next sign would be VIRGO, during which the birth took place. Why were the wise men interested? This child is "the desire of ALL NATIONS" (Hag. 2:7).

I found this interesting. In Prophecy in the News, Dec., 99, p. 13, J.R. Church says, "Another astronomical event took place in the second century B.C. that lasted nearly 400 years. A supernova appeared in the head of the child in the lap of Coma, a sidereal sidepiece to the constellation Virgo. It was so bright, it could be seen in the daytime. By the second century A.D., it had almost faded away." The child in COMA represents the Christ child, and he is the light of the world. That seems like a sign. It is neat that during the month from May 21 to Jun 22, we find the Sun in GEMINI. That seems to be the SIGN of the RAPTURE ON PENTECOST, indicating the month that we will be seated in heavenly places on the ecliptic with Christ on Saturn in the Milky Way.

Here is the story of Christ, "THE WAY," written in the stars:

CHAPTER 1

VIRGO (VIRGIN); oldest Heb., TSEMECH (THE BRANCH), BETHULAH (Heb., VIRGIN); VIRGA (Arabic, BRANCH), SUNBUL (Ar., AN EAR OF CORN, wheat, i.e., THE SEED)

Virgo stands for the Branch, the virgin-born Christ child. She has a band tying her gown, symbolically tying her to Christ, and the wings of CYGNUS, the swan (representing Christ) circling and returning, on her back, as PEGASUS does. Some Zodiacs picture her with a child in her arms. In her right hand is a BRANCH. In her left is the sheaf of wheat and the bright star SPICA (Latin, EAR OF CORN, i.e., wheat) (Heb., ZERAH (THE SEED) which is Christ. Gen. 3:15 says, "I will put enmity between thee (the serpent, Satan) and the woman, and between thy seed (the False Prophet) and HER SEED (zerah, Christ), it (Christ) shall bruise thy head (as HERCULES has his foot on DRACO's head), and thou (Satan) shalt bruise his heel (as SCORPIO stings the foot of OPHIUCHUS)."

Christ's story is told over and over in the constellations. If a man could not read, he could still understand the meaning of the pictures. The Zodiac was known in every ancient nation.

Stars: AL MURREDIN (WHO SHALL COME DOWN or WHO SHALL HAVE DOMINION), which in Chaldean is VINDEMIATRIX (THE SON or BRANCH WHO COMETH) and in Gr. is PROMETHEUS (THE DELIVERER OR BRANCH WHO COMETH); AL ZIMACH (Ar., THE BRANCH, same star as SPIKA, AN EAR OF CORN), ZAVIJAVEH (GLORIOUSLY BEAUTIFUL)

"God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself" (II Cor. 5:19). This is "the Lord of glory" (I Cor. 2:14, Rev. 1:13-15), "the Lord from heaven" (I Cor. 15:47), "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us" (Jn. 1:14). Isa. 4:2: "In that day shall THE BRANCH of the LORD be beautiful and glorious."

The sun is in VIRGO Aug. 23 - Sept. 22. This encompasses the time spoken of in Mk. 13:27: "And then (Tishri 1, Feast of Trumpets, Sept. 13, in 2007) shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth (the Pre-Wrath Rapture) to the uttermost part of heaven (those that are already in Heaven)."

Each of the twelve signs has three other constellations associated with it. Called decans (parts), they help us understand more of the story.

DECANS OF VIRGO

1. COMA, or COMAH (THE DESIRED or THE LONGED FOR), SHES-NU (anc., Eg., THE DESIRED SON) (erroneously, now Berenice's Hair)

COMA represents Jesus being cared for by his virgin mother. The boy, called in Gr. IESOUS, is called by some nations IHESU, with the signification IEZA (Gr. CHRISTOS). The virgin is sitting on a footstool that has a foot on one leg, i.e., Earth. Isa. 66:1 says, "heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool."

This sign has in it the COMA CLUSTER, which is 100s of galaxies.

Stars: ADRENOSA (Ar., THE VIRGIN WHO CARRIES), SUBILAH (Heb., WHO BEARS), HAZANETHON (THE BRANCH)

2. CENTAURUS, Heb., BEZEH or Ar. AL BEZE (THE DESPISED), ASMEATH (Heb., SIN OFFERING), CHEIRON (Gr., THE PIERCED, or WHO PIERCES), PHOLAS (Gr., THE MEDIATOR)

This sign represents the dual natures of Christ and his ability to lay down his life and take it up again. Christ is both CENTAURUS and VICTIMA. In the picture in Chris Patrick's "Zodiac Conspiracy," there is a globe shaped shield on front of the left arm of CENTAURUS. It probably is to show that this sacrifice was to take place on Earth. In Seiss's "Gospel in the Stars," CENTAURUS has a shield with three points and a branch and water urn on it, showing that this person is the same as AQUARIUS, the living water pourer, Christ.

In Greek, kain, from kainos, means new. Thus, CEN TAURUS is a NEW TAURUS, showing the connection between the two figures. TAURUS (GOVERNOR, i.e., Christ) came and dwelt in a human body. SAGITTA means arrow, so SAGITTA and TAURUS becomes the Taurus that shoots the arrow, SAGITTARIUS, the Archer. He too is TAURUS (Christ) dwelling in a human body.

Stars: TOLIMAN (THE HERETOFORE AND HEREAFTER), ASMEATH (Heb., SIN OFFERING), PROXIMA (Lat., THE PIERCED)

TOLIMAN's meaning, THE HERETOFORE AND HEREAFTER, tells the story well. In the Old Testament, we find the Pre-incarnate Christ. In the New Testament, we find the Incarnate Christ.

In Rev. 22:13, Jesus said, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning (Lord of the Old Testament) and the end (Lord of the New Testament), the first (YHVH king of Israel) and the last (YHVH of hosts, Jesus Christ).

Isa. 44:6: "Thus saith the LORD (YHVH) the King of Israel, AND his redeemer the LORD (YHVH) of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God."

II Cor. 5:19: "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself."

3. BOOTES, The Herdsman, is from the Heb. BO (TO COME, meaning THE COMING ONE), SMAT (Eg., ONE WHO SUBDUES, RULES, AND GOVERNS, also called ARCTURUS (HE COMETH), the watcher, guardian, or keeper of ARKTOS, a name applied to both SHEEPFOLDS

He has a shepherd's crook (now a spear) in his right hand, sheepskin maccasins on his feet, a band in his hair and a sickle in his left hand (Christ as the good shepherd and harvester). The sickle is toward THE GREATER SHEEPFOLD. In the picture in Bullinger's "Witness of the Stars," the foot of BOOTES is touching the BRANCH in VIRGO's hand, showing that this shepherd is the BRANCH of the LORD. BOOTES is climbing up a stairway, as in Song of Solomon 2:14's secret of the stairs, and as portrayed by Jacob's ladder. Symbolically, I think he will use his shepherd's crook to bring in the Pre-Trib flock and the sickle to bring in the Pre-Wrath flock.

Rev. 14:15: "Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe."

Psa. 96:13: "the LORD: for HE COMETH, for HE COMETH TO JUDGE THE EARTH."

Stars: AL KATUROPS (THE BRANCH, TREADING UNDER FOOT, or THE SHEPHERD'S CROOK), in the top of the shepherd's crook, MIZAR (THE PRESERVER, GUARDIAN) and NEKKAR (THE PIERCED), ARCTURUS (HE COMETH), NEKKAR (THE PIERCED), MURPHRIDE (TO SEPARATE), i.e, sheep from goats

The huge gamma ray burster of Jan. 23, 1999, was in the tip of the shepherd's crook (or spear). The message to us, HE COMETH.

CHAPTER 2

LIBRA (WEIGHING), MOZANAIM (Heb., THE SCALES, WEIGHING), AL ZUBENA (Ar., PURCHASE, REDEMPTION, GAIN), LAMBADIA (Coptic, STATION OF PROPITIATION)

In Arabic, LAM is GRACIOUSNESS, BADIA is BRANCH, tying the propitiation in with Christ. It depicts man being weighed in the scales and found wanting (Dan. 5:27), not one is found righteous (Rom. 3:10). This is represented by the raised side of the scales. The star there is ZUBEN AL GENUBI (THE PRICE DEFICIENT). The star in the lower scale is ZUBEN AL CHEMALI (THE PRICE WHICH COVERS, OR IS SUFFICIENT).

At one time, some stars in LIBRA formed the claws of SCORPIO.

Other stars: ZUBEN AKRABI (THE PRICE OF THE CONFLICT), ZUBENELGENUBI (SOUTHERN CLAW, ZUBENDLCHEMALE (NORTHERN CLAW)

This price would be "the Lamb of God (Christ) which taketh away the sins of the world" (Jn. 1:29). The early Persian Zodiac pictures a man holding the scales in one hand and a LAMB in the other.

The ancient sign may have been an ALTAR. On p. 204, Bullinger said, "There can be but little doubt, therefore, that the first Sign of the Zodiac was VIRGO, the second was the ALTAR, and the third was the SCORPION. The lesson which they teach is clear: The Seed of the woman (VIRGO), who was to come as a child, should be a sacrifice (the ALTAR) for the sins of His people; endure a great conflict with the enemy (SCORPIO), in which He should be wounded in the heel; but should in the end crush and tread the enemy under foot."

DECANS OF LIBRA

1. CRUX, Heb.: ADOM (CUTTING OFF) and TAU (IT IS FINISHED); the Southern Cross, placed between the legs of CENTAURUS to complete the picture of the Crucifixion shown in CENTAURUS and VICTIMA

The ancient name for CRUX was ADOM (THE CUTTING OFF). It showed exactly how "Messiah the Prince" would "be cut off" (Dan. 9:25,26). It disappeared from view from Jerusalem after He was "cut off (karath, killed)," probably because he wasn't to be crucified again. That prophecy had already been fulfilled. They were to look for no other Messiah.

2. VICTIMA, in the Zodiac of Denderah, Egypt, SURA (LAMB), in ancient Heb., ASEDAH (TO BE SLAIN)

The dual nature of CENTAURUS killing his victim demonstrates that Christ had the power to lay down his life and to take it up again. In the sky, VICTIMA is just below the scales of LIBRA.

3. CORONA BOREALIS (THE NORTHERN CROWN), ATARAH (Heb., A ROYAL CROWN), AL ICLIL (Ar., AN ORNAMENT or JEWEL), has the densest cluster of galaxies known--over 400

CORONA represents the crown that eventually winds up on the head of CEPHEUS, our Rock, Christ.

It is vertical over Jerusalem once every time the Earth revolves.

Stars: Brightest: AL PHECCA (Ar., THE SHINING); T is a variable called THE BLAZE STAR, a non-regular flaring nova, which flared in 1866 and 1946

CHAPTER 3

SCORPIO, AKRAB OR ARAB (Heb., SCORPION, CONFLICT, WAR); AL AKRAB (Ar. and Syriac, THE WOUNDING or CONFLICT), ISIDIS (Coptic, ATTACK OF THE ENEMY)

Stars: ANTARES,in the heart (Ar., THE WOUNDING, or Gr., THE RIVAL OF ARES, Mars), also known as COR SCORPII (Lat., THE SCORPION'S HEART, it is deep red in color too), LESATH, in the stinger (Heb., THE PERVERSE)

God named the stars to tell the prophetic story before man had the Bible. Scorpio represents Satan curling his stinger toward the foot of OPHIUCHUS (Christ), but OPHIUCHUS has his other foot on the scorpion. Christ was stung and died, but was resurrected and will ultimately win the conflict.

ANTARES (ANTI ARES--AGAINST MARS) is the brightest star in SCORPIO and represents the heart of Satan. I think ANTARES represents Satan's planet Rahab that blew up, formed the Asteroid Belt and wounded the planet Mars, driving off most of her water and atmosphere. ANTARES is in the ecliptic, as Rahab was. OPHIUCHUS runs on the ecliptic and is placing his right foot on SCORPIO right above the red star ANTARES, the heart of the scorpion. I think the intersection of these two signs pictures the literal destruction of the planet Rahab and the wounding of Mars, the red planet as well as Christ's final victory over Satan. SAGITTARIUS is aiming his ARROW at ANTARES too. The scorpion is segmented as Rahab was split into many pieces.

I think Christ, our Rock, sent a rock to hit Rahab and split it apart. A decan of SAGITTARIUS is ARA, the burning altar, representing the two asteroid pieces that are to hit Earth (Rev. 8:8,10). Rev. 8:5 says, "the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of THE ALTAR, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake."

In the picture Seiss has on p. 44, SCORPIO has five segments in its tail, maybe showing us where Satan's planet was located: (1) Mercury, (2) Venus, (3) Earth, (4) Mars, (5) Rahab.

DECANS OF SCORPIO

1. SERPENS (SERPENT), Satan wrestling with OPHIUCHUS (Christ) to retain dominion and get the crown (CORONA)

Stars: UNUK (Heb., ENCOMPASSING) or ALYAH (Heb., THE ACCURSED), CHELEB (Ar., THE SERPENT ENFOLDING), AL HAY (Ar., THE REPTILE)

2. OPHIUCHUS, AFEICHUS (Gr., from Heb. and Ar., THE SERPENT HELD), SERPENTARIUS in Latin

OPHIUCHUS, running on the ecliptic, is symbolic of Christ struggling with SERPENS, but in the struggle, he is killed when SCORPIO stings his foot, as SERPENS touching AQUILLA (the dying eagle) also shows. In the end, OPHIUCHUS wins by stepping on the heart of SCORPIO.

The southern part of this constellation enters a particularly rich region of the Milky Way.

Stars: RAS AL HAGUS (Ar., THE HEAD OF HIM WHO HOLDS), or RAS-AL-AWA (Ar., (THE HEAD OF THE DESIRED ONE), there is also one of this name in the head of HERCULES, showing that they represent the same person), CARNEBUS (THE WOUNDING), MEGEROS (CONTENDING), TRIOPHAS (Heb., TREADING UNDER FOOT) and SAIPH, in OPHIUCHUS' right foot, (BRUISED), one by same name is in HERCULES

God sure named the stars well to tell his story.

3. HERCULES (THE BRANCH KNEELING), in the Zodiac of Denderah, BAU (WHO COMETH), AL GISCALE (Ar., THE STRONG ONE) or MARSIC (Heb., THE WOUNDING); the mighty man wearing a lamb skin (i.e., Christ) and holding up the tokens of victory over Satan (THE BRANCH wins, by means of an arrow, over the three headed snake) as he crushes DRACO's head

The three heads of the snake in the tokens may represent Satan at three special times, in the Garden of Eden (Eze. 28:13), in Judas Iscariot and in the False Prophet. Both of the latter are called sons of perdition (Jn. 17:12; II Thess. 2:3).

Stars: RAS AL GETHI (THE HEAD OF HIM WHO BRUISES), MARSIC (THE WOUNDING), KORNEPHORUS (THE BRANCH, KNEELING), MA'ASYM (THE SIN-OFFERING), CAIAM (PUNISHING, THE DESIRED ONE, THE BRANCH) or (Ar., TREADING UNDER FOOT), RAS-AL-AWA (THE HEAD OF THE DESIRED ONE), SAIPH (BRUISED)

HERCULES, wearing a LAMB SKIN, is kneeling with his left foot on DRACO's head. He is holding up in his left hand the tokens of the victory of THE BRANCH over a three-headed SERPENT. Maybe the three heads represent Satan's appearance in the serpent in Eden, in Judas Iscariot and in the False Prophet. HERCULES has in his RIGHT HAND the club seen in ORION's RIGHT HAND and held in the RIGHT HAND by the left male figure in GEMINI. They all represent Christ and help tell the whole story.
